because_o he_o restrayn_v his_o thought_n and_o suffer_v they_o not_o to_o wander_v abroad_o and_o thou_o o_o my_o brother_n pour_v forth_o thy_o prayer_n in_o knowledge_n but_o if_o whilst_o thou_o pray_v thy_o mind_n be_v distract_v either_o by_o the_o wander_a of_o thy_o eye_n or_o the_o catch_n of_o thy_o ear_n or_o evagation_n of_o thy_o thought_n or_o by_o any_o other_o cause_n know_v this_o to_o be_v his_o work_n yet_o make_v not_o to_o much_o haste_n to_o end_v thy_o prayer_n but_o rebuke_v thyself_o and_o recollect_v thy_o spirit_n and_o then_o again_o pray_v in_o know_v ledge_n that_o thou_o may_v know_v for_o who_o thou_o pray_v unto_o god_n and_o for_o what_o thou_o pray_v and_o use_v not_o many_o and_o superfluous_a word_n for_o it_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n to_o scatter_v our_o thought_n upon_o many_o impertinent_a thing_n and_o he_o do_v not_o willing_o suffer_v we_o to_o persist_v in_o the_o intention_n we_o first_o make_v for_o he_o know_v full_a well_o that_o if_o a_o man_n persever_v he_o that_o make_v he_o will_v hear_v he_o not_o with_o stand_v he_o have_v commit_v innumerable_a sin_n wherefore_o he_o sugge_v many_o idle_a and_o superfluous_a word_n and_o thought_n that_o the_o mind_n be_v repulse_v from_o her_o first_o intention_n may_v wander_v through_o various_a distraction_n and_o our_o first_o intention_n of_o prayer_n be_v divert_v to_o some_o other_o thing_n wherefore_o my_o brother_n us._n we_o mustaske_v of_o god_n what_o be_v most_o necessary_a for_o us._n demand_v of_o god_n what_o urge_v thou_o most_o and_o for_o those_o thing_n thou_o have_v most_o need_n of_o remember_v those_o two_o blind_a man_n cry_v after_o he_o have_v mercy_n upon_o we_o son_n of_o david_n what_o say_v our_o lord_n unto_o they_o 18._o mat._n 9.20_o marc_n 10._o lu._n 18._o but_o what_o will_v you_o that_o i_o do_v unto_o you_o and_o they_o according_a to_o the_o grief_n and_o affection_n of_o their_o heart_n request_v that_o yet_o desist_v not_o to_o cry_v unto_o he_o remember_v the_o cananaean_a and_o imitate_v her_o perseverance_n for_o
