so_o some_o thing_n be_v not_o to_o be_v receive_v from_o god_n without_o those_o fervent_a prayer_n and_o supplication_n which_o can_v not_o be_v without_o fast_v nor_o without_o that_o humble_a under_o government_n can_v make_v choice_n of_o day_n for_o private_a fast_n without_o consent_n of_o their_o governor_n be_v at_o the_o disposition_n of_o their_o governor_n by_o the_o law_n and_o commandment_n of_o god_n as_o son_n and_o daughter_n man_n servant_n and_o maid_n servant_n scholar_n all_o labourer_n and_o hire_a man_n for_o the_o time_n and_o such_o like_a so_o that_o none_o of_o these_o can_v without_o the_o knowledge_n and_o free_a consent_n of_o those_o under_o who_o they_o be_v make_v choice_n of_o what_o day_n in_o the_o week_n they_o will_v to_o observe_v their_o private_a fast_n in_o for_o see_v the_o day_n of_o fast_o be_v to_o be_v keep_v holy_a and_o be_v of_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o sabbath_n as_o have_v be_v prove_v before_o in_o it_o they_o must_v whole_o rest_v from_o all_o the_o work_n of_o their_o ordinary_a call_n from_o evening_n to_o evening_n and_o must_v spend_v that_o time_n in_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n they_o can_v not_o at_o their_o own_o will_n and_o pleasure_n give_v over_o these_o work_n and_o so_o consequent_o not_o appoint_v unto_o themselves_o a_o day_n of_o rest_v but_o must_v be_v content_v herein_o to_o be_v order_v by_o the_o discretion_n of_o those_o to_o who_o they_o have_v either_o by_o the_o bond_n of_o nature_n or_o by_o some_o covenant_n whole_o addict_v themselves_o and_o all_o their_o
advise_o consider_v how_o god_n have_v not_o only_o punish_v the_o wicked_a for_o their_o sin_n but_o that_o he_o have_v not_o spare_v his_o own_o child_n as_o that_o he_o not_o only_o utter_o favour_n from_o god_n by_o how_o much_o we_o do_v then_o more_o than_o ordinary_o judge_v ourselves_o so_o that_o here_o be_v another_o thing_n to_o be_v further_v in_o by_o this_o outward_a abstinence_n namely_o mind_n in_o which_o wâ—_n must_v be_v further_v by_o the_o inward_a and_o outward_a affliction_n of_o the_o body_n and_o the_o mind_n that_o we_o may_v have_v a_o great_a hope_n and_o assurance_n then_o before_o that_o god_n for_o christ_n sake_n will_v be_v merciful_a unto_o we_o because_o we_o do_v according_a to_o his_o commandment_n more_o humble_a ourselves_o then_o before_o not_o for_o the_o merit_n or_o worthiness_n of_o that_o but_o because_o of_o the_o gracious_a promise_n which_o of_o his_o free_a mercy_n he_o have_v make_v to_o all_o those_o that_o thus_o
