thou_o can_v get_v a_o piece_n of_o thy_o hart_n to_o god_n it_o may_v be_v that_o thou_o have_v a_o carnal_a and_o false_a joy_n but_o true_a joy_n and_o comfort_n have_v thou_o not_o well_o then_o brethren_z that_o peace_n and_o consolation_n flow_v of_o prayer_n and_o earnest_a meditation_n in_o jesus_n therefore_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v philip._n 4._o 6._o 7._o be_v not_o solist_n for_o any_o thing_n but_o in_o everything_n let_v thy_o request_n be_v show_v forth_o to_o god_n and_o that_o by_o all_o manner_n of_o prayer_n and_o supplication_n and_o suppon_v thou_o get_v not_o the_o forward_o in_o well_o do_v even_o so_o it_o be_v with_o the_o pastor_n and_o the_o people_n for_o if_o the_o flock_n think_v that_o their_o pastor_n have_v not_o a_o good_a opinion_n of_o they_o it_o be_v the_o very_a way_n to_o discourage_v they_o and_o to_o cause_v they_o go_v backward_o so_o man_n shall_v be_v very_a ware_n lest_o they_o shall_v hurt_v other_o another_o thing_n here_o be_v to_o be_v mark_v he_o say_v we_o be_v persuade_v in_o the_o lord_n not_o in_o you_o for_o aswell_o as_o we_o count_v of_o you_o our_o confidence_n be_v not_o in_o you_o for_o than_o you_o and_o we_o shall_v both_o be_v beguile_v so_o he_o his_fw-mi not_o a_o confidence_n in_o they_o albeit_o we_o have_v a_o confidence_n of_o they_o that_o they_o shall_v do_v well_o for_o these_o be_v different_a general_n be_v why_o shall_v we_o not_o have_v confidence_n of_o man_n and_o be_v well_o persuade_v that_o they_o will_v do_v well_o but_o beware_v while_o thou_o hope_v they_o will_v do_v well_o that_o thou_o hurt_v not_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n by_o give_v the_o glory_n of_o their_o well_o do_v to_o man_n if_o he_o be_v the_o best_a on_o earth_n give_v he_o not_o the_o praise_n of_o a_o jote_n of_o the_o power_n of_o well_o do_v but_o give_v it_o to_o god_n alone_o that_o all_o the_o glory_n may_v be_v god_n let_v all_o the_o glory_n return_n to_o he_o from_o who_o all_o grace_n manner_n after_o the_o which_o he_o give_v out_o this_o precept_n he_o turn_v this_o precept_n in_o a_o prayer_n this_o be_v wisdom_n in_o which_o he_o beseech_v the_o lord_n to_o direct_v their_o heart_n to_o the_o love_n of_o god_n first_o and_o next_o to_o the_o patient_a hope_n of_o christ_n come_n mark_v this_o form_n by_o this_o turn_n of_o a_o precept_n in_o a_o prayer_n he_o will_v teach_v we_o this_o far_o that_o these_o command_n that_o be_v give_v in_o the_o scripture_n these_o precept_n exhortation_n direction_n and_o admonition_n import_v not_o that_o there_o be_v any_o power_n or_o freewill_n in_o man_n or_o woman_n to_o obey_v or_o to_o do_v that_o that_o be_v command_v and_o exhort_v or_o to_o do_v any_o part_n of_o it_o this_o be_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o else_o with_o precept_n prayer_n conjoin_v and_o therefore_o when_o we_o be_v command_v and_o admonish_v to_o do_v any_o good_a in_o that_o same_o instant_a our_o hart_n shall_v be_v raise_v to_o god_n to_o desire_v strength_n at_o he_o &_o thou_o shall_v say_v lord_n give_v i_o the_o strength_n to_o do_v as_o thou_o command_v i_o when_o i_o admonish_v and_o exhort_v thou_o to_o set_v thy_o of_o righteousness_n to_o serve_v god_n but_o if_o the_o hart_n be_v evil_o dispose_v but_o if_o it_o be_v backward_o and_o perverse_a as_o it_o be_v of_o nature_n there_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o much_o as_o the_o least_o member_n of_o the_o body_n but_o all_o shall_v go_v the_o wrong_a way_n thy_o foot_n shall_v go_v to_o mischieefe_n a_o murderer_n hart_n stir_v his_o foot_n to_o murder_v thy_o hand_n shall_v be_v a_o wapon_n of_o unrighteousness_n to_o fight_v against_o god_n thy_o eye_n shall_v be_v look_v to_o evil_n and_o likewise_o all_o the_o rest_n all_o shall_v be_v set_v to_o foul_a stink_a puddle_n there_o be_v no_o stink_a flower_n to_o the_o stink_n of_o a_o foul_a hart_n o_o if_o thou_o feel_v it_o that_o thou_o may_v detest_v it_o if_o it_o be_v not_o purge_v thou_o shall_v never_o see_v the_o face_n of_o god_n if_o thou_o lie_v still_o in_o the_o filth_n of_o thy_o hart_n and_o every_o day_n in_o thy_o hart_n contract_v some_o further_a filth_n remember_v i_o forewarn_v thou_o the_o intolerable_a judgement_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v heap_v on_o thy_o head_n as_o thou_o heap_a filth_n upon_o filth_n now_o what_o crave_v he_o to_o their_o heart_n i_o pray_v the_o lord_n say_v he_o to_o direct_v your_o heart_n the_o word_n in_o the_o own_o language_n signify_v a_o straightning_n as_o it_o be_v a_o even_a line_n for_o brethren_z consider_v the_o hart_n of_o man_n as_o it_o be_v dispose_v by_o nature_n and_o by_o this_o foul_a birth_n of_o we_o all_o within_o we_o be_v foul_a without_o that_o renew_v spirit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n it_o come_v in_o this_o world_n crooked_a nature_n manshart_o crooked_a by_o nature_n and_o bow_v in_o as_o a_o crooked_a tree_n bow_v away_o from_o god_n to_o the_o devil_n from_o all_o good_a thing_n to_o all_o a_o crook_n in_o it_o what_o shall_v thou_o pray_v for_o it_o then_o even_o this_o lord_n make_v it_o even_o put_v this_o perverseness_n out_o of_o it_o for_o so_o long_o as_o it_o bide_v in_o this_o backwardness_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a but_o thy_o wraith_n must_v be_v on_o it_o then_o pray_v for_o two_o thing_n to_o thy_o hart_n first_o to_o make_v straight_o thy_o crooked_a hart_n and_o say_v lord_n i_o find_v my_o hart_n crooked_a within_o i_o bow_v away_o from_o thou_o lord_n put_v in_o day_n holy_a spirit_n in_o it_o and_o straighten_v it_o and_o again_o because_o it_o be_v impossible_a so_o long_o as_o i_o live_v that_o i_o can_v attain_v unto_o a_o hart_n altogether_o straight_o lord_n hide_v the_o crook_n of_o my_o hart_n with_o that_o mantle_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n trow_a thou_o that_o thou_o can_v stand_v one_o moment_n before_o that_o majesty_n that_o can_v look_v on_o a_o crook_n except_o thy_o crook_n be_v cover_v with_o that_o long_o thou_o live_v the_o far_o thou_o run_v from_o he_o except_o by_o his_o spirit_n he_o turn_v thou_o and_o say_v to_o thou_o turn_v thou_o and_o look_v on_o my_o face_n and_o therefore_o the_o
