grace_n and_o mercy_n which_o we_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o either_o for_o soul_n or_o body_n these_o i_o need_v not_o reckon_v up_o because_o every_o man_n necessity_n want_n and_o desire_n will_v suggest_v these_o unto_o he_o second_o state_n 2._o for_o those_o thing_n for_o our_o church_n &_o commonwealth_n etc._n etc._n 1._o for_o the_o prosperity_n of_o the_o church_n &_o state_n from_o the_o prophet_n david_n example_n in_o my_o text_n we_o ought_v to_o beg_v many_o thing_n at_o god_n hand_n in_o the_o behalf_n of_o our_o church_n and_o state_n wherein_o we_o live_v now_o because_o they_o be_v many_o i_o will_v be_v the_o brief_a in_o some_o of_o they_o 1._o we_o ought_v to_o pray_v for_o the_o flour_n shingestate_fw-la and_o prosperity_n of_o our_o church_n and_o commonwealth_n and_o that_o it_o may_v continue_v yea_o increase_n in_o purity_n piety_n peace_n and_o plenty_n the_o roman_n be_v wont_v upon_o certain_a high_a day_n to_o pray_v for_o increase_v of_o wealth_n to_o the_o people_n of_o rome_n which_o custom_n scipio_n be_v censor_n change_v say_v that_o their_o wealth_n and_o prosperity_n be_v sufficient_a and_o therefore_o they_o ought_v only_o to_o pray_v unto_o god_n to_o preserve_v in_o such_o as_o it_o be_v i_o will_v not_o say_v altogether_o thus_o of_o our_o common-welath_a because_o many_o say_v and_o more_o know_v that_o we_o be_v much_o decay_v in_o regard_n of_o what_o we_o be_v and_o the_o most_o country_n and_o shire_n much_o impoverish_v and_o therefore_o as_o we_o ought_v to_o call_v upon_o the_o lord_n for_o the_o continuance_n of_o our_o prosperity_n wealth_n and_o peace_n so_o we_o may_v warrantable_o pray_v for_o the_o increase_n thereof_o abraham_n pray_v for_o sodoms_n prosperity_n and_o preservation_n be_v answer_v according_a to_o his_o request_n that_o if_o there_o be_v but_o as_o many_o godly_a man_n therein_o as_o he_o mention_v it_o shall_v not_o be_v destroy_v upon_o which_o promise_n 18._o calvin_n in_o gen._n 18._o master_n calvin_n observe_v that_o if_o god_n do_v so_o patient_o hear_v and_o gracious_o answer_v the_o prayer_n of_o one_o faithful_a abraham_n for_o the_o wicked_a sodomite_n then_o
