more_o plain_o and_o full_o to_o express_v himself_o concern_v the_o use_n of_o that_o form_n of_o prayer_n former_o deliver_v &_o now_o not_o to_o say_v as_o before_z after_o this_o manner_n pray_v you_o but_o when_o you_o pray_v say_v our_o father_n etc._n etc._n it_o be_v the_o say_n of_o learned_a mr._n mede_n as_o the_o dream_n be_v double_v unto_o pharaoh_n because_o the_o thing_n be_v our_o father_n etc._n etc._n yet_o i_o judge_v it_o lawful_a for_o they_o and_o so_o for_o we_o to_o use_v it_o because_o of_o this_o text_n yea_o i_o will_v add_v that_o put_v the_o case_n those_o who_o have_v the_o extraordinary_a miraculous_a assistance_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o pray_v do_v not_o actual_o use_v this_o very_a form_n yet_o i_o think_v it_o lawful_a and_o expedient_a for_o we_o to_o use_v it_o who_o have_v necessary_o no_o such_o infallible_a assistance_n and_o guidance_n in_o our_o prayer_n obj._n but_o the_o evangelist_n matthew_n chap._n 6.16_o and_o this_o suggest_v to_o we_o for_o matter_n and_o word_n and_o method_n and_o so_o we_o be_v not_o to_o be_v tie_v to_o any_o form_n of_o prayer_n possible_o this_o be_v and_o may_v be_v use_v for_o a_o time_n namely_o till_o christ_n be_v glorify_v and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n give_v as_o john_n form_n may_v last_v till_o jesus_n christ_n give_v a_o new_a one_o so_o this_o form_n of_o prayer_n may_v be_v of_o use_n until_o the_o come_n down_o of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n to_o teach_v christian_n to_o pray_v of_o themselves_o without_o this_o or_o any_o other_o form_n ans_fw-fr to_o this_o objection_n i_o christ_n come_v again_o of_o the_o first_o all_o christian_n it_o be_v true_a must_v pray_v in_o the_o spirit_n as_o all_o minister_n of_o christ_n be_v to_o preach_v in_o the_o evidence_n and_o demonstration_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o in_o word_n which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n teach_v and_o yet_o this_o hinder_v not_o but_o we_o may_v and_o must_v study_n and_o premeditate_v for_o our_o holy_a ghost_n teach_v in_o the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n we_o be_v to_o pray_v in_o faith_n to_o come_v to_o god_n in_o christ_n name_n merit_n mediation_n trust_v to_o be_v hear_v and_o answer_v for_o christ_n sake_n with_o earnestness_n and_o importunity_n and_o so_o with_o such_o sigh_n and_o groan_n which_o be_v unutterable_a which_o can_v sufficient_o be_v express_v in_o word_n 2._o as_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v this_o i_o will_v not_o make_v use_n of_o the_o extraordinary_a gift_n of_o the_o spirit_n enable_v i_o to_o speak_v in_o a_o unknown_a or_o strange_a language_n either_o in_o pray_v to_o or_o praise_v of_o god_n in_o the_o church_n where_o it_o be_v not_o understand_v by_o the_o unlearned_a and_o therefore_o can_v be_v to_o edification_n my_o own_o spirit_n or_o i_o may_v indeed_o pray_v according_a to_o the_o inward_a man_n and_o make_v use_n outward_o of_o the_o gift_n of_o tongue_n that_o gift_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o pray_v but_o i_o make_v no_o use_n of_o pentecost_n even_o this_o evangelical_n form_n of_o prayer_n like_o the_o legal_a observation_n i_o say_v be_v it_o so_o than_o the_o use_n of_o the_o lord_n prayer_n shall_v cease_v both_o as_o a_o pattern_n and_o as_o a_o form_n of_o prayer_n it_o shall_v neither_o be_v any_o more_o since_o pentecost_n a_o directory_n or_o liturgy_n but_o the_o truth_n be_v that_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o mediation_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o stir_v up_o in_o they_o good_a and_o holy_a desire_n agreeable_a to_o the_o request_n or_o petition_n continue_v in_o this_o prayer_n and_o to_o descend_v to_o many_o particular_a desire_n and_o petition_n and_o to_o express_v those_o desire_n in_o proper_a word_n and_o significant_a expression_n all_o which_o desire_n be_v summary_o comprehend_v in_o the_o petition_n and_o word_n or_o expression_n of_o the_o lord_n prayer_n i_o say_v this_o be_v the_o office_n and_o work_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o do_v in_o no_o wise_a take_v away_o all_o lawful_a use_n of_o the_o lord_n prayer_n as_o a_o prayer_n for_o sure_o the_o holy_a spirit_n will_v not_o therefore_o refuse_v to_o assist_v we_o when_o we_o pray_v this_o prayer_n because_o it_o be_v a_o prayer_n make_v by_o jesus_n christ_n and_o register_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n write_v by_o those_o who_o be_v full_a of_o and_o move_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o that_o work_n nor_o do_v i_o believe_v that_o god_n the_o holy_a ghost_n who_o be_v the_o god_n of_o order_n and_o not_o of_o confusion_n will_v suggest_v or_o infuse_v into_o we_o such_o desire_n as_o shall_v necessary_o turn_v we_o out_o of_o the_o lord_n prayer_n while_o we_o be_v use_v it_o in_o a_o right_a manner_n it_o be_v not_o probable_a that_o the_o holy_a spirit_n will_v turn_v we_o out_o of_o the_o road_n wherein_o the_o son_n appoint_v we_o to_o go_v to_o the_o father_n and_o i_o pray_v what_o desire_n be_v there_o that_o be_v holy_a just_a and_o good_a such_o be_v all_o the_o desire_n of_o which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v author_n but_o be_v comprehend_v in_o this_o prayer_n doubtless_o as_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o prophet_n in_o the_o apostle_n day_n be_v subject_a to_o the_o prophet_n so_o it_o be_v no_o disparagement_n to_o the_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n which_o christian_n have_v in_o these_o day_n to_o be_v regulate_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n which_o be_v in_o
