commit_v adultery_n shall_v have_v both_o his_o eye_n put_v out_o the_o king_n son_n he_o be_v find_v guilty_a whereupon_o he_o be_v condemn_v to_o lose_v both_o his_o eye_n but_o the_o king_n his_o father_n from_o love_n and_o pity_n cause_v one_o of_o his_o own_o and_o one_o of_o his_o son_n eye_n to_o be_v put_v out_o which_o show_v far_o more_o free_a grace_n to_o his_o son_n then_o if_o he_o be_v reconcile_v he_o be_v a_o enemy_n no_o more_o but_o after_o reconciliation_n although_o god_n may_v be_v a_o father_n yet_o he_o may_v be_v a_o angry_a father_n we_o need_v reconciliation_n but_o once_o as_o to_o enmity_n but_o often_o as_o to_o anger_v 2._o though_o a_o justify_v person_n have_v title_n to_o pardon_v even_o whilst_o he_o be_v sin_v by_o virtue_n of_o christ_n merit_n and_o intercession_n yet_o he_o have_v not_o actual_a possession_n of_o the_o benefit_n of_o pardon_n before_o he_o sue_v it_o out_o by_o confession_n and_o repentance_n and_o this_o petition_n be_v the_o sue_v out_o of_o our_o pardon_n not_o the_o merit_a of_o it_o qu._n 3._o how_o can_v a_o justify_v person_n pray_v for_o pardon_n of_o one_o and_o the_o same_o sin_n any_o more_o than_o once_o sol._n in_o such_o case_n he_o rather_o pray_v for_o sense_n of_o pardon_n then_o pardon_v itself_o quest_n 4._o how_o can_v one_o that_o be_v assure_v of_o pardon_n pray_v for_o pardon_n sol_fw-it 1._o he_o ought_v to_o pray_v this_o petition_n because_o that_o every_o moment_n there_o be_v some_o new_a sin_n that_o he_o must_v pray_v to_o obtain_v pardon_n of_o 2._o hereby_o he_o desire_v the_o continuance_n or_o increase_n of_o his_o assurance_n forgive_v there_o be_v these_o thing_n include_v in_o the_o word_n 1._o that_o none_o can_v forgive_v but_o god_n 2._o that_o we_o can_v never_o satisfy_v for_o sin_n on_o our_o part_n there_o be_v no_o hope_n of_o payment_n but_o still_o we_o must_v cry_v for_o forgiveness_n we_o this_o show_n 1._o for_o who_o we_o do_v pray_v viz._n 1._o for_o the_o pardon_n of_o other_o sin_n as_o well_o as_o our_o own_o 1._o out_o of_o love_n to_o they_o 2._o out_o of_o respect_n to_o ourselves_o because_o many_o other_o man_n sin_n be_v we_o divers_a way_n and_o therefore_o even_o in_o justice_n we_o be_v bind_v to_o pray_v for_o the_o pardon_n of_o they_o because_o they_o be_v in_o some_o sense_n our_o own_o and_o we_o have_v be_v the_o cause_n of_o their_o guilt_n by_o example_n etc._n etc._n 2._o it_o show_v for_o who_o we_o do_v not_o pray_v viz._n not_o for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o devil_n but_o of_o man_n our_o 1._o it_o be_v a_o free_a acknowledgement_n of_o our_o guilt_n not_o lay_v it_o upon_o other_o but_o ourselves_o true_a repentance_n be_v no_o excuse_v repentance_n 2._o this_o show_v that_o the_o best_a of_o man_n be_v debtor_n the_o rich_a owe_v much_o unto_o the_o creditor_n debt_n our_o sin_n be_v call_v debt_n 1._o because_o by_o they_o we_o rob_v god_n of_o his_o honour_n etc._n etc._n the_o civil_a law_n divide_v all_o obligation_n in_o obligationes_fw-la ex_fw-la delicto_fw-la &_o ex_fw-la contractu_fw-la now_o we_o break_v his_o law_n and_o covenant_n and_o promise_n we_o come_v indebt_v both_o quest_n 1._o whether_o be_v we_o bind_v to_o forgive_v every_o one_o that_o owe_v we_o any_o thing_n answ_n we_o be_v certain_o bind_v to_o pardon_v they_o if_o they_o owe_v we_o as_o we_o owe_v god_n that_o be_v so_o as_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o pay_v 2._o we_o be_v to_o forgive_v all_o man_n their_o injury_n not_o their_o debt_n quest._n 2._o whether_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o forgive_v man_n that_o do_v not_o ●sk_v pardon_n out_o of_o scorn_n or_o malice_n answ_n we_o ought_v mat._n 5.44_o again_o it_o be_v not_o say_v either_o so_o many_o or_o so_o great_a debt_n but_o indefinite_o
