of_o pleasure_n and_o pain_n there_o be_v pleasure_n and_o pain_n of_o the_o mind_n as_o well_o as_o the_o body_n with_o he_o be_v fullness_n of_o joy_n and_o pleasure_n for_o evermore_o or_o to_o speak_v true_o they_o be_v all_o of_o the_o mind_n though_o some_o have_v their_o rise_n in_o the_o mind_n from_o thought_n other_o in_o the_o body_n from_o motion_n happiness_n then_o be_v the_o utmost_a pleasure_n we_o be_v capable_a of_o and_o misery_n the_o utmost_a pain_n now_o because_o pleasure_n and_o pain_n be_v produce_v in_o we_o by_o the_o operation_n of_o certain_a object_n either_o on_o our_o mind_n or_o our_o body_n and_o in_o different_a degree_n therefore_o what_o have_v a_o aptness_n to_o produce_v pleasure_n in_o we_o be_v that_o we_o labour_v for_o and_o be_v that_o we_o call_v good_a and_o what_o be_v apt_a to_o produce_v pain_n in_o we_o we_o avoid_v and_o call_v evil_a for_o no_o other_o reason_n but_o for_o its_o aptness_n to_o produce_v pleasure_n and_o pain_n in_o we_o wherein_o consist_v our_o happiness_n or_o misery_n far_o because_o the_o degree_n of_o pleasure_n and_o pain_n have_v also_o just_o a_o preference_n though_o what_o be_v apt_a to_o produce_v any_o degree_n of_o pleasure_n be_v in_o itself_o good_a and_o what_o be_v apt_a to_o produce_v any_o degree_n of_o pain_n be_v evil_a yet_o it_o often_o happen_v that_o we_o do_v not_o call_v it_o so_o when_o it_o come_v in_o competition_n with_o a_o great_a of_o its_o sort_n so_o that_o if_o we_o will_v right_o estimate_v what_o we_o call_v good_a and_o evil_a we_o shall_v find_v it_o lie_v much_o in_o comparison_n for_o the_o cause_n of_o every_o less_o degree_n of_o pain_n as_o well_o as_o every_o great_a degree_n of_o pleasure_n have_v the_o nature_n of_o good_a and_o
