reasonable_a and_o they_o be_v not_o to_o charge_v any_o person_n with_o find_v a_o foot-souldier_n and_o arm_n that_o have_v not_o a_o yearly_a revenue_n of_o fifty_o pound_n in_o possession_n or_o person_n chargeable_a by_o this_o act_n to_o find_v a_o horse_n and_o horseman_n with_o arm_n foot-arm_n no_o person_n charge_v with_o or_o towards_o a_o horse_n may_v be_v charge_v also_o towards_o foot-arm_n or_o to_o be_v contributory_a towards_o find_v a_o horse_n and_o horseman_n with_o arm_n shall_v for_o the_o same_o estate_n be_v chargeable_a towards_o find_v a_o foot-souldier_n with_o arm_n or_o contributory_a thereunto_o and_o it_o shall_v be_v lawful_a to_o and_o for_o the_o respective_a lieutenant_n and_o deputy_n or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o as_o aforesaid_a to_o impose_v the_o find_n and_o provide_v of_o horse_n horseman_n and_o arm_n as_o aforesaid_a by_o join_v two_o or_o three_o or_o more_o person_n together_o in_o the_o charge_n as_o to_o their_o judgement_n shall_v appear_v most_o conducible_a to_o the_o service_n of_o this_o kingdom_n provide_v that_o no_o person_n that_o have_v not_o one_o hundred_o pound_n per_fw-la annum_fw-la in_o possession_n in_o land_n act._n what_o person_n and_o estate_n only_o chargeable_a towards_o find_v horse-arm_n lieutenant_n and_o deputy_n may_v hear_v and_o determine_v matter_n relate_v to_o this_o be_v free_v and_o discharge_v from_o all_o penalty_n and_o forfeiture_n in_o and_o by_o this_o act_n before_o mention_v and_o impose_v any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o provide_v nevertheless_o that_o it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a to_o and_o for_o the_o say_a commissioner_n division_n the_o commissioner_n may_v compound_v for_o the_o excise_n in_o their_o division_n and_o sub-commissioner_n respective_o to_o compound_v for_o this_o duty_n with_o any_o inn-kéepe_a victualler_n alehouse-kéepe_a or_o retailer_n of_o béer_n ale_n and_o other_o the_o liquor_n aforesaid_a within_o their_o respective_a division_n from_o time_n to_o time_n and_o in_o such_o manner_n and_o form_n as_o may_v be_v most_o for_o the_o advantage_n and_o improvement_n of_o the_o receipt_n thereof_o any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n before_o contain_v to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o it_o be_v further_o ordain_v and_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o lord_n treasurer_n act._n the_o power_n of_o the_o lord_n treasurer_n etc._n etc._n to_o contract_n for_o farm_v any_o the_o rate_n or_o duty_n in_o this_o act._n or_o commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o such_o other_o person_n or_o person_n as_o his_o majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n shall_v appoint_v shall_v have_v power_n and_o be_v hereby_o authorise_v and_o impower_v from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o treat_v contract_n conclude_v and_o agree_v with_o any_o person_n or_o person_n for_o or_o concern_v the_o farm_n of_o all_o or_o any_o the_o rate_n duty_n and_o charge_n in_o this_o act_n mention_v upon_o béer_o ale_n perry_n cider_n or_o other_o the_o liquor_n aforesaid_a in_o any_o the_o respective_a county_n city_n or_o place_n of_o this_o realm_n or_o dominion_n thereof_o as_o may_v be_v for_o the_o great_a benefit_n and_o advantage_n of_o the_o say_a receipt_n so_o as_o the_o same_o excee_v not_o the_o term_n of_o three_o year_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v that_o every_o such_o contract_n bargain_n and_o agreement_n of_o the_o lord_n treasurer_n or_o commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n or_o other_o person_n aforesaid_a on_o behalf_n of_o his_o majesty_n on_o the_o one_o part_n and_o the_o person_n or_o person_n farm_v on_o the_o other_o part_n shall_v be_v good_a and_o effectual_a in_o law_n to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n provide_v always_o to_o the_o end_n the_o aforesaid_a duty_n may_v be_v pay_v with_o most_o ease_n to_o the_o people_n county_n person_n to_o be_v approve_v by_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n etc._n etc._n within_o six_o month_n to_o have_v the_o refusal_n of_o contract_n for_o the_o excise_n in_o these_o respective_a county_n it_o be_v hereby_o further_o enact_v that_o the_o lord_n treasurer_n commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n or_o other_o person_n aforesaid_a shall_v not_o within_o six_o month_n after_o the_o commencement_n of_o this_o act_n treat_v conclude_v or_o agree_v with_o any_o person_n or_o person_n touch_v the_o farm_n of_o this_o duty_n upon_o béer_n and_o ale_n in_o any_o the_o respective_a county_n or_o place_n of_o this_o realm_n or_o dominion_n thereof_o other_o then_o with_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o by_o the_o justice_n of_o peace_n of_o the_o say_a county_n or_o place_n or_o the_o major_a part_n of_o they_o at_o their_o public_a quarter_n session_n shall_v be_v nominate_v and_o appoint_v in_o that_o behalf_n which_o person_n or_o person_n be_v to_o have_v the_o first_o refusal_n of_o any_o such_o farm_n respective_o and_o may_v take_v the_o same_o any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a thereof_o in_o any_o wise_n notwithstanding_o provide_v that_o the_o say_a duty_n shall_v not_o be_v let_v to_o any_o person_n or_o person_n then_o to_o the_o person_n or_o person_n recommend_v by_o the_o justice_n under_o the_o rate_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v tender_v to_o and_o refuse_v by_o such_o person_n or_o person_n so_o recommend_v and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v and_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a determine_v forfeiture_n and_o offence_n within_o this_o act_n how_o to_o be_v determine_v that_o all_o forfeiture_n and_o offence_n make_v do_v and_o commit_v against_o this_o act_n or_o any_o clause_n or_o article_n therein_o contain_v shall_v be_v hear_v adjudge_v and_o determine_v by_o such_o person_n or_o person_n and_o in_o such_o manner_n and_o form_n as_o hereafter_o in_o and_o by_o this_o act_n be_v direct_v and_o appoint_v that_o be_v to_o say_v all_o such_o forfeiture_n and_o offence_n make_v and_o commit_v within_o the_o immediate_a limit_n of_o the_o chief_a office_n in_o london_n shall_v be_v hear_v london_n london_n adjudge_v and_o determine_v by_o the_o say_v chief_a commissioner_n and_o governor_n of_o excise_n appoint_v by_o his_o majesty_n or_o the_o major_a part_n of_o they_o or_o by_o the_o commissioner_n for_o appeal_n and_o regulate_v of_o this_o duty_n or_o the_o major_a part_n of_o they_o in_o case_n of_o appeal_n and_o not_o otherwise_o kingdom_n county_n city_n etc._n etc._n within_o this_o kingdom_n and_o all_o such_o forfeiture_n and_o offence_n make_v and_o commit_v within_o all_o or_o any_o other_o the_o county_n city_n town_n or_o place_n within_o this_o kingdom_n or_o dominion_n thereof_o shall_v be_v hear_v and_o determine_v by_o any_o two_o or_o more_o of_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n reside_v near_o to_o the_o place_n where_o such_o forfeiture_n shall_v be_v make_v or_o offence_n commit_v justice_n neglect_v of_o the_o justice_n and_o in_o case_n of_o neglect_n or_o refusal_n of_o such_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n by_o the_o space_n of_o fourtéen_a day_n next_o after_o complaint_n make_v and_o notice_n thereof_o give_v to_o the_o offender_n than_o the_o sub-commissioner_n or_o the_o major_a part_n appoint_v for_o any_o such_o city_n county_n town_n or_o place_n shall_v and_o be_v hereby_o impower_v to_o hear_v and_o determine_v the_o same_o and_o if_o the_o party_n find_v himself_o aggrieve_v by_o the_o judgement_n give_v by_o the_o say_a sub-commissioner_n he_o shall_v and_o may_v appeal_v to_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n at_o the_o next_o quarter_n session_n who_o be_v hereby_o impower_v and_o authorise_v to_o hear_v and_o determine_v the_o same_o who_o judgement_n therein_o shall_v be_v final_a which_o say_v commissioner_n for_o appeal_n and_o regulate_v of_o this_o duty_n and_o the_o chief_a commissioner_n for_o excise_n and_o all_o justice_n of_o peace_n and_o sub-commissioner_n aforesaid_a respective_o be_v hereby_o authorise_v and_o strict_o enjoin_v and_o require_v upon_o any_o complaint_n or_o information_n exhibit_v and_o bring_v of_o any_o such_o forfeiture_n make_v or_o offence_n commit_v contrary_a to_o this_o act_n to_o summon_v the_o party_n accuse_v and_o upon_o his_o appearance_n or_o contempt_n to_o procee_v to_o the_o examination_n of_o the_o matter_n of_o fact_n and_o upon_o due_a proof_n make_v thereof_o either_o by_o the_o voluntary_a confession_n of_o the_o party_n or_o by_o the_o oath_n of_o one_o or_o more_o credible_a witness_n which_o oath_n they_o or_o any_o two_o or_o more_o of_o they_o have_v hereby_o power_n to_o administer_v to_o give_v judgement_n or_o hand_n for_o the_o levy_n of_o such_o forfeiture_n penalty_n and_o fine_n as_o by_o this_o act_n be_v impose_v for_o any_o such_o offence_n commit_v upon_o the_o good_n and_o chattel_n of_o the_o offender_n and_o to_o cause_n sale_n to_o be_v make_v of_o the_o say_a good_n and_o chattel_n if_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v redeem_v within_o fourtéen_a day_n render_v to_o the_o party_n the_o overplus_n if_o any_o be_v and_o for_o want_v of_o sufficient_a distress_n to_o imprison_v the_o party_n

society_n of_o the_o vintner_n of_o london_n provide_v also_o that_o this_o act_n or_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v shall_v not_o extend_v or_o be_v prejudicial_a to_o the_o master_n warden_n aforesaid_a according_a to_o the_o purport_n of_o this_o act._n and_o the_o say_a verdict_n of_o the_o jury_n and_o judgement_n of_o the_o commissioner_n in_o the_o case_n aforesaid_a shall_v be_v sufficient_a and_o conclusive_a in_o law_n to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n against_o the_o say_a owner_n and_o occupier_n their_o heir_n executor_n administrator_n and_o assign_v act._n every_o record_n at_o westminster_n or_o elsewhere_o in_o his_o own_o name_n or_o to_o sue_v for_o the_o same_o in_o his_o majesty_n name_n in_o the_o court_n of_o the_o exchequer_n at_o the_o election_n of_o aforesaid_a that_o all_o the_o yearly_a rent_n letter-office_n rent_n and_o profit_n arise_v by_o the_o letter-office_n sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n revenue_n issue_n and_o profit_n whatsoever_o that_o shall_v grow_v due_a accrue_v or_o be_v payable_a unto_o his_o majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n for_o or_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o say_v general_a letter-office_n or_o post-ffice_a or_o office_n of_o postmaster_n general_n or_o annex_v incident_a or_o belong_v to_o the_o say_a post-office_n or_o general_a letter-office_n or_o office_n of_o post-master-general_n or_o issue_v out_o of_o the_o same_o or_o accrue_v or_o grow_v due_a for_o or_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v and_o hereby_o be_v vest_v and_o settle_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n upon_o the_o say_v james_n duke_n of_o york_n and_o the_o heir_n male_n of_o his_o body_n beget_v or_o to_o be_v beget_v with_o full_a and_o sole_a power_n from_o time_n to_o time_n for_o the_o say_a duke_n and_o from_o the_o say_a governor_n bailiff_n and_o conservator_n and_o their_o successor_n or_o any_o five_o or_o more_o of_o they_o whereof_o the_o say_a governor_n or_o bailiff_n or_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v have_v further_a power_n as_o well_o for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o the_o say_v great_a level_n as_o for_o lay_v and_o levy_v of_o tax_n upon_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n to_o use_v and_o exercise_v within_o the_o say_v great_a level_n such_o and_o the_o like_a law_n and_o custom_n and_o constitute_v and_o appoint_v such_o and_o the_o like_a officer_n from_o time_n to_o time_n as_o be_v or_o lawful_o may_v be_v use_v in_o rumney_n marsh_n in_o the_o county_n of_o kent_n they_o who_o exercise_v the_o say_a power_n of_o commissioner_n of_o sewer_n first_o take_v writ_n bill_n plaint_n count_n declaration_n information_n presentment_n and_o indictment_n of_o for_o or_o concern_v the_o say_a ground_n within_o the_o say_v great_a level_n of_o the_o fen_n or_o any_o part_n or_o parcel_n of_o the_o same_o or_o any_o trespass_n offence_n or_o wrong_n do_v act_v or_o commit_v within_o the_o say_v great_a level_n and_o proceed_n thereupon_o shall_v be_v good_a great_a level_n as_o aforesaid_a otherwise_o then_o hereafter_o in_o this_o act_n shall_v be_v provide_v and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v register_n conveyance_n by_o indenture_n enter_v with_o the_o register_n that_o all_o conveyance_n by_o indenture_n of_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o enter_v with_o the_o say_a register_n in_o a_o book_n to_o be_v keep_v for_o that_o purpose_n shall_v be_v of_o equal_a force_n to_o convey_v the_o fréehold_n and_o inheritance_n of_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o as_o if_o the_o same_o conveyance_n by_o indenture_n be_v for_o valuable_a consideration_n of_o money_n enroll_v within_o six_o month_n in_o one_o of_o the_o king_n court_n of_o
record_n at_o westminster_n and_o no_o lease_n grant_v or_o conveyance_n of_o or_o charge_v out_o of_o or_o upon_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o except_o lease_n for_o seven_o year_n or_o under_o in_o possession_n shall_v be_v of_o force_n but_o from_o the_o time_n it_o shall_v be_v enter_v with_o the_o say_a register_n as_o aforesaid_a the_o entry_n whereof_o be_v endorse_v by_o the_o say_a register_n upon_o such_o lease_n grant_v conveyance_n or_o charge_n shall_v be_v as_o good_a and_o effectual_a in_o the_o law_n as_o if_o the_o original_a of_o this_o act_n to_o be_v levy_v by_o sale_n of_o the_o land_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v penalty_n levy_v of_o tax_n and_o penalty_n that_o for_o the_o levy_v such_o tax_n and_o penalty_n as_o be_v now_o in_o arrear_n or_o at_o any_o time_n since_o the_o thirty_o day_n of_o september_n in_o the_o year_n of_o our_o lord_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o fifty_o and_o eight_o other_o than_o such_o as_o be_v hereby_o otherwise_o direct_v to_o be_v levy_v or_o which_o shall_v be_v set_v and_o impose_v upon_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n and_o shall_v be_v in_o arrear_n upon_o the_o respective_a part_n and_o proportion_n of_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n the_o say_a governor_n bailiff_n and_o conservator_n of_o ely_n aforesaid_a in_o the_o say_a isle_n of_o ely_n have_v power_n only_o to_o sell_v so_o much_o of_o such_o part_n and_o proportion_n of_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o thousand_o acre_n upon_o which_o any_o tax_n shall_v be_v in_o arrear_n or_o penalty_n in_o such_o proportion_n as_o the_o say_a governor_n bailiff_n and_o conservator_n of_o the_o say_a corporation_n or_o their_o successor_n or_o any_o five_o or_o more_o of_o they_o whereof_o the_o say_a governor_n and_o bailiff_n or_o any_o of_o they_o to_o be_v two_o shall_v judge_n to_o be_v sufficient_a to_o raise_v such_o tax_n and_o penalty_n by_o any_o write_n under_o the_o seal_n of_o the_o say_a corporation_n and_o the_o person_n or_o person_n to_o who_o such_o sales_n shall_v be_v make_v shall_v be_v a_o lawful_a purchaser_n and_o assignée_n of_o so_o much_o as_o shall_v be_v sell_v to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n whatsoever_o provide_v that_o by_o any_o colour_n of_o any_o sale_n for_o nonpayment_n of_o tax_n lease_n proviso_n for_o tenant_n at_o will_n or_o by_o lease_n any_o tenant_n or_o tenant_n at_o will_n or_o by_o lease_n indent_v upon_o improve_a rent_n of_o any_o part_n of_o the_o say_v ninety_o five_o or_o other_o matter_n or_o thing_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o for_o the_o better_a enable_v the_o say_a justice_n and_o baron_n to_o procee_v with_o effect_n in_o the_o say_a notwithstanding_o kingdom_n proviso_n touch_v compel_a man_n to_o march_v out_o of_o this_o kingdom_n provide_v that_o neither_o this_o act_n nor_o any_o matter_n or_o thing_n therein_o contain_v shall_v be_v deem_v construe_v or_o take_v to_o extend_v to_o the_o give_v or_o declare_v of_o any_o power_n for_o the_o transport_v of_o any_o the_o subject_n of_o this_o realm_n or_o any_o way_n compel_v they_o to_o march_v out_o of_o this_o kingdom_n otherwise_o then_o by_o the_o law_n of_o england_n ought_v to_o be_v do_v charge_v peer_n of_o the_o realm_n how_o to_o be_v charge_v provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o péer_n of_o this_o realm_n shall_v be_v charge_v with_o horse_n horseman_n and_o arm_n or_o foot-soldier_n and_o arm_n otherwise_o or_o in_o any_o other_o manner_n than_o be_v herein_o after_o express_v that_o be_v to_o say_v that_o his_o majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n shall_v and_o may_v from_o time_n to_o time_n issue_n out_o commission_n under_o the_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n to_o so_o many_o péer_v not_o few_o than_o twelve_o as_o his_o majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n shall_v think_v fit_a who_o or_o any_o five_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v have_v power_n from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o assess_v all_o and_o every_o or_o any_o the_o péer_v of_o this_o realm_n according_a to_o the_o limitation_n and_o proportion_n in_o this_o act_n appoint_v for_o the_o find_n of_o horse_n horseman_n and_o arm_n or_o foot-soldier_n and_o arm_n and_o for_o other_o the_o purpose_n in_o this_o act_n mention_v except_o the_o monthly_a tax_n which_o be_v to_o be_v levy_v as_o be_v before_o prescribe_v in_o this_o act_n and_o shall_v have_v power_n to_o put_v in_o execution_n all_o and_o every_o the_o power_n and_o authority_n of_o this_o act_n as_o well_o for_o lay_v assessment_n as_o impose_v of_o penalty_n imprisonment_n of_o the_o person_n of_o any_o péer_n of_o this_o realm_n only_o except_v which_o assessment_n or_o charge_v so_o make_v together_o with_o such_o penalty_n as_o shall_v be_v so_o impose_v imprisonment_n as_o aforesaid_a only_o except_v shall_v be_v from_o time_n to_o time_n respective_o certify_v to_o the_o respective_a lieutenant_n of_o each_o county_n to_o the_o intent_n that_o the_o say_a charge_n may_v be_v bear_v and_o the_o penalty_n not_o before_o except_v levy_v according_a to_o the_o intent_n of_o this_o act_n and_o that_o in_o case_n there_o shall_v be_v any_o default_n in_o performance_n of_o any_o thing_n to_o be_v do_v or_o pay_v by_o any_o péer_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n that_o then_o it_o shall_v be_v lawful_a for_o the_o respective_a lieutenant_n &_o deputy-lieutenant_n or_o any_o three_o of_o they_o to_o cause_v distress_n to_o be_v take_v for_o the_o same_o in_o any_o of_o the_o land_n of_o such_o defaulter_n within_o their_o say_a county_n or_o limit_n respective_o and_o in_o case_n satisfaction_n shall_v not_o be_v give_v within_o the_o space_n of_o one_o wéek_v after_o such_o distress_n take_v than_o such_o distress_n to_o be_v sell_v for_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o say_a service_n and_o the_o charge_n incident_a thereunto_o and_o the_o overplus_n if_o any_o be_v to_o be_v restore_v to_o the_o owner_n and_o if_o a_o tenant_n of_o any_o péer_n of_o this_o realm_n shall_v be_v distrain_v for_o such_o default_n as_o aforesaid_a the_o tenant_n so_o distrain_v be_v hereby_o enable_v to_o deduct_v the_o sum_n levy_v out_o of_o his_o next_o rent_n cap._n fourteen_o there_o shall_v be_v administration_n of_o sacrament_n rite_n and_o ceremony_n in_o the_o church_n of_o england_n agreeable_a to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o usage_n of_o the_o primitive_a church_n compile_v by_o the_o reverend_a bishop_n and_o clergy_n set_v forth_o in_o one_o book_n entitle_v the_o book_n of_o common_a prayer_n and_o administration_n of_o sacrament_n and_o other_o rite_n and_o ceremony_n in_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o enjoin_v to_o be_v
of_o the_o limit_n of_o their_o respective_a lieutenancy_n or_o by_o their_o direction_n when_o they_o be_v not_o absent_a their_o deputy_n lieutenant_n during_o their_o respective_a deputation_n or_o be_v charge_v by_o virtue_n of_o either_o of_o the_o say_a act_n with_o horse_n horseman_n and_o arm_n or_o foot-souldier_n and_o arm_n shall_v under_o the_o penalty_n of_o forfeit_v five_o shilling_n pay_v and_o allow_v upon_o demand_n two_o shilling_n six_o penny_n by_o the_o day_n to_o each_o respective_a trooper_n that_o serve_v with_o such_o horse_n and_o arm_n for_o maintenance_n of_o the_o after_o each_o respective_a default_n or_o at_o or_o before_o the_o next_o succeed_v muster_n exercise_n or_o train_n and_o not_o afterward_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v arms._n penalty_n upon_o constable_n or_o constable_n of_o any_o parish_n or_o place_n within_o this_o kingdom_n dominion_n of_o wales_n and_o town_n of_o berwick_n upon_o twede_n to_o provide_v and_o furnish_v at_o a_o reasonable_a time_n and_o place_n to_o be_v appoint_v upon_o a_o penalty_n to_o be_v impose_v not_o exceed_a forty_o shilling_n for_o every_o such_o omission_n so_o many_o sufficient_a foot_n arm_n with_o wage_n and_o other_o incident_a charge_n as_o the_o say_a lieutenant_n and_o deputy-lieutenant_n or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v assess_v or_o charge_v according_a to_o the_o rule_n and_o proportion_n of_o the_o say_a act_n upon_o revenue_n under_o fifty_o pound_n per_fw-la annum_fw-la or_o upon_o personal_a estate_n less_o than_o six_o hundred_o pound_n lie_v or_o be_v within_o any_o such_o respective_a parish_n or_o place_n and_o in_o order_n thereunto_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n of_o or_o belong_v to_o any_o such_o parish_n or_o place_n shall_v upon_o demand_n refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o provide_v a_o foot-souldier_n or_o foot-soldier_n foot-arm_n the_o penalty_n for_o not_o provide_v or_o pay_v foot-arm_n according_a to_o the_o proportion_n aforesaid_a or_o to_o pay_v any_o sum_n of_o money_n whereat_o he_o or_o they_o shall_v be_v tax_v or_o assess_v by_o a_o pound_n rate_v according_a to_o a_o listen_v sign_v by_o the_o respective-lieutenant_n or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o for_o and_o towards_o the_o defray_n and_o satisfy_v the_o necessary_a charge_n and_o expense_n disburse_v in_o provide_v and_o furnish_v such_o sufficient_a arm_n as_o aforesaid_a that_o then_o it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a to_o and_o for_o such_o constable_n or_o constable_n by_o warrant_n for_o that_o purpose_n to_o levy_v such_o sum_n so_o rate_v or_o assess_v by_o distress_n and_o sale_n of_o the_o good_n of_o such_o person_n or_o person_n so_o refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o pay_v and_o shall_v restore_v the_o overplus_n if_o any_o the_o charge_n of_o distrain_v being_n first_o deduct_v and_o the_o tenant_n of_o any_o house_n land_n or_o revenue_n rate_v or_o assess_v as_o aforesaid_a be_v hereby_o authorize_v and_o require_v to_o make_v payment_n of_o such_o sum_n of_o money_n so_o rate_v or_o assess_v and_o to_o deduct_v so_o much_o as_o shall_v be_v charge_v upon_o the_o landlord_n rent_n out_o of_o the_o next_o rent_n payable_a to_o the_o landlord_n and_o in_o default_n hereof_o the_o good_n of_o every_o such_o tenant_n be_v also_o liable_a to_o be_v distrain_v and_o sell_v in_o manner_n aforesaid_a and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v that_o once_o in_o every_o year_n hereafter_o each_o soldier_n list_a or_o raise_v by_o virtue_n of_o the_o say_a act_n mustermaster_n what_o shall_v be_v pay_v to_o the_o mustermaster_n or_o either_o of_o they_o shall_v pay_v to_o his_o respective_a muster-master_n such_o sum_n not_o exceed_a one_o shilling_n for_o a_o horseman_n and_o six_o penny_n for_o a_o footman_n as_o the_o respective_a lieutenant_n and_o deputy-lieutenant_n or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v under_o their_o hand_n and_o seal_n direct_v who_o have_v power_n hereby_o to_o levy_v the_o same_o by_o distress_n and_o sale_n in_o case_n of_o default_n of_o payment_n upon_o the_o good_n and_o chattel_n of_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o be_v charge_v with_o the_o find_n of_o the_o respective_a horseman_n or_o foot-souldier_n so_o make_v default_n unless_o the_o default_n be_v by_o the_o neglect_n of_o such_o horseman_n or_o foot-souldier_n who_o in_o that_o case_n be_v hereby_o to_o be_v accountable_a for_o the_o same_o and_o every_o such_o muster-master_n shall_v be_v a_o inhabitant_n of_o the_o respective_a county_n he_o what_o provision_n every_o musketeer_n shall_v bring_v with_o he_o and_o it_o be_v hereby_o further_o provide_v and_o enact_v that_o at_o every_o muster_n training_n and_o exercise_n every_o musketeer_n shall_v bring_v with_o he_o half_a a_o pound_n of_o powder_n and_o half_a a_o pound_n of_o bullet_n and_o every_o musketeer_n that_o serve_v with_o a_o match-lock_a shall_v bring_v with_o he_o three_o yard_n of_o match_n both_o which_o be_v to_o be_v find_v according_o at_o the_o charge_n of_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o provide_v the_o say_a foot-souldier_n and_o arm_n and_o every_o horseman_n be_v to_o bring_v with_o he_o a_o quarter_n of_o a_o pound_n of_o powder_n and_o a_o quarter_n of_o a_o pound_n of_o bullet_n at_o the_o charge_n of_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o provide_v the_o say_a horseman_n and_o arm_n penalty_n the_o penalty_n who_o be_v hereby_o require_v to_o find_v and_o bear_v the_o same_o upon_o pain_n of_o forfeit_v five_o shilling_n for_o
