celebrate_v in_o whitsunweek_n that_o be_v the_o great_a festival_n ordain_v to_o be_v keep_v in_o memory_n of_o the_o miraculous_a descent_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n upon_o the_o apostle_n at_o the_o feast_n of_o pentecost_n if_o it_o be_v say_v that_o this_o time_n be_v appoint_v only_o upon_o account_n of_o the_o season_n of_o the_o year_n because_o the_o quaker_n come_v yearly_a to_o attend_v this_o their_o most_o solemn_a meeting_n from_o foreign_a country_n even_o from_o the_o west-indies_n that_o excuse_n will_v not_o do_v for_o this_o feast_n be_v movable_a sometime_o a_o come_v to_o be_v almost_o a_o distract_v man_n how_o will_v they_o reconcile_v this_o with_o what_o other_o of_o the_o quaker_n nay_o and_o themselves_o at_o other_o time_n say_v that_o these_o extraordinary_a quaking_n and_o convulsion_n of_o gilpin_n be_v the_o working_n of_o the_o h._n ghost_n in_o he_o do_v the_o b._n influence_n of_o god_n h._n spirit_n bring_v man_n to_o distraction_n and_o madness_n g._n fox_n say_v ibid._n that_o the_o lord_n smite_v gilpin_n that_o he_o come_v to_o be_v almost_o a_o distract_v man._n that_o be_v true_a it_o be_v the_o lord_n who_o smite_v he_o but_o how_o by_o deliver_v of_o he_o to_o satan_n for_o the_o destruction_n that_o be_v the_o punishment_n of_o his_o flesh_n that_o his_o spirit_n may_v be_v save_v in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n 1_o cor._n 5.5_o which_o punishment_n god_n do_v usual_o inflict_v in_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o gospel_n upon_o excommunicate_v person_n who_o despise_v the_o authority_n of_o his_o church_n for_o the_o terror_n of_o other_o as_o well_o as_o the_o reclaim_n of_o themselves_o and_o in_o these_o late_a day_n god_n have_v exert_v his_o power_n in_o the_o same_o signal_n manner_n upon_o many_o of_o those_o who_o have_v wilful_o excommunicate_v themselves_o and_o trample_v under_o their_o foot_n that_o high_a authority_n with_o which_o christ_n have_v invest_v his_o church_n even_o the_o same_o that_o the_o father_n give_v unto_o he_o of_o these_o scorner_n the_o quaker_n be_v the_o most_o outrageous_a and_o blasphemous_a and_o therefore_o this_o judgement_n from_o god_n have_v fall_v most_o upon_o them_o and_o this_o be_v the_o great_a part_n of_o their_o judgement_n that_o they_o know_v it_o not_o to_o be_v such_o but_o mistake_v the_o stroke_n of_o god_n executioner_n the_o devil_n for_o the_o working_n of_o the_o h._n spirit_n of_o god_n and_o so_o construe_v that_o as_o a_o approbation_n of_o their_o curse_a state_n which_o be_v send_v to_o reclaim_v they_o from_o it_o at_o least_o to_o be_v a_o warn_v to_o other_o how_o they_o fall_v into_o their_o snare_n who_o be_v by_o the_o just_a judgement_n of_o god_n deliver_v up_o to_o the_o devil_n both_o soul_n and_o body_n even_o in_o this_o life_n this_o be_v a_o most_o material_a point_n therefore_o i_o insist_v so_o long_o upon_o it_o and_o i_o desire_v the_o quaker_n and_o all_o other_o to_o consider_v that_o as_o this_o gilpin_n be_v thus_o deliver_v over_o to_o satan_n upon_o his_o forsake_v of_o the_o church_n and_o public_a ordinance_n of_o the_o prayer_n and_o sacrament_n so_o upon_o his_o return_n to_o these_o holy_a institution_n he_o be_v by_o the_o great_a mercy_n of_o god_n rescue_v from_o the_o power_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o restore_v to_o his_o former_a state_n which_o
