to_o make_v good_a in_o reason_n or_o conscience_n that_o the_o magistrate_n authorise_v person_n with_o a_o power_n of_o try_v such_o man_n whether_o they_o be_v qualify_v for_o the_o employment_n of_o preach_v in_o parish_n can_v be_v say_v to_o be_v the_o erect_n of_o a_o power_n in_o and_o over_o the_o church_n three_o though_o it_o will_v be_v beside_o the_o present_a business_n to_o start_v that_o controversy_n whether_o or_o how_o far_o the_o magistrate_n may_v intermeddle_v in_o matter_n of_o religion_n yet_o certain_o it_o be_v fit_a to_o consider_v that_o the_o same_o thing_n england_n be_v a_o christian_a professor_n by_o continue_v that_o public_a way_n of_o maintenance_n which_o the_o law_n of_o the_o land_n and_o the_o bounty_n of_o the_o state_n have_v allow_v to_o support_v and_o encourage_v the_o public_a preach_v of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o thereupon_o by_o exert_v his_o magistratical_a authority_n in_o transfer_v it_o by_o way_n of_o trust_n into_o the_o hand_n of_o certain_a person_n who_o he_o see_v cause_n to_o confide_v in_o as_o commissioner_n under_o he_o for_o the_o prove_v and_o try_v of_o man_n whether_o they_o be_v fit_a to_o be_v own_v upon_o the_o public_a account_n in_o order_n to_o so_o high_a a_o employment_n as_o preach_v to_o the_o people_n have_v therein_o do_v his_o duty_n and_o in_o so_o do_v keep_v within_o his_o sphere_n be_v exceed_o increase_v and_o the_o lord_n be_v please_v to_o add_v to_o the_o church_n daily_o such_o as_o shall_v be_v save_v all_o that_o the_o magistrate_n have_v do_v here_o by_o such_o a_o ordinance_n be_v a_o act_n only_o of_o state_n a_o mere_a civil_a constitution_n and_o by_o virtue_n thereof_o the_o commissioner_n not_o exercise_v any_o power_n of_o legislation_n or_o
