it_o be_v of_o the_o trinity_n for_o as_o there_o be_v in_o god_n distinct_a person_n and_o yet_o every_o person_n have_v the_o whole_a essence_n so_o there_o be_v in_o the_o soul_n distinct_a faculty_n and_o yet_o every_o faculty_n have_v in_o it_o the_o whole_a soul_n yea_o be_v the_o whole_a soul_n now_o that_o the_o body_n also_o be_v god_n image_n these_o reason_n may_v prove_v 1._o man_n be_v say_v to_o be_v make_v after_o god_n image_n in_o the_o first_o creation_n man_z i_o say_v not_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n only_o 2._o god_n image_n be_v in_o christ_n body_n for_o he_o say_v it_o be_v certain_a type_n or_o resemblance_n of_o some_o of_o the_o perfection_n of_o god_n 3._o because_o the_o gift_n of_o the_o mind_n do_v cause_n the_o body_n to_o shine_v as_o the_o candle_n do_v the_o horn_n in_o the_o lantern_n three_o man_n be_v after_o god_n image_n in_o the_o quality_n of_o the_o soul_n such_o as_o be_v wisdom_n love_n zeal_n patience_n meekness_n and_o the_o rest_n for_o in_o these_o he_o resemble_v in_o some_o manner_n those_o glorious_a and_o bless_a attribute_n of_o god_n 4._o man_n be_v after_o god_n image_n in_o respect_n of_o sanctity_n of_o action_n in_o that_o he_o be_v holy_a as_o he_o be_v holy_a and_o in_o that_o he_o resemble_v god_n in_o his_o work_n as_o in_o love_v and_o hate_v where_o god_n love_v and_o hate_v and_o in_o know_v and_o approve_v of_o thing_n as_o god_n approve_v or_o know_v of_o they_o it_o be_v plain_a man_n resemble_v god_n in_o love_v and_o show_v kindness_n to_o his_o enemy_n 5._o enemy_n mat._n 5._o but_o general_o by_o holiness_n of_o carriage_n man_n do_v resemble_v god_n i_o mean_v in_o the_o creation_n do_v so_o and_o by_o grace_n the_o faithful_a begin_v to_o do_v so_o last_o man_n bear_v the_o image_n of_o god_n in_o his_o sovereignty_n of_o dominion_n and_o that_o both_o over_o himself_o and_o as_o he_o be_v god_n vicegerent_n over_o the_o live_a creature_n and_o the_o earth_n and_o thus_o image_n of_o god_n according_a to_o the_o threefold_a estate_n of_o man_n be_v likewise_o threefold_a 1._o there_o be_v the_o image_n of_o nature_n which_o adam_n have_v 2._o the_o image_n of_o grace_n which_o the_o saint_n now_o have_v and_o three_o the_o image_n of_o glory_n which_o the_o bless_a have_v in_o heaven_n the_o image_n of_o god_n in_o adam_n have_v distinct_a specialty_n adam_n be_v a_o perfect_a divine_a and_o a_o perfect_a philosopher_n even_o in_o a_o instant_n he_o know_v the_o nature_n of_o all_o thing_n in_o the_o instant_n of_o his_o creation_n which_o now_o be_v attain_v unto_o with_o extreme_a labour_n and_o singular_a weakness_n 2._o he_o have_v a_o immortal_a nature_n free_a from_o infirmity_n disease_n death_n 3._o he_o shall_v have_v propagate_v a_o immortal_a seed_n after_o the_o image_n of_o god_n whereas_o now_o grace_n will_v not_o be_v

that_o can_v tell_v of_o no_o call_n but_o attendance_n 2._o in_o trustiness_n and_o in_o this_o servant_n must_v be_v faithful_a two_o way_n first_o in_o their_o care_n to_o see_v their_o master_n direction_n execute_v in_o the_o family_n as_o if_o they_o have_v be_v present_a second_o in_o their_o speedy_a dispatch_n of_o business_n abroad_o a_o slothful_a messenger_n be_v a_o exceed_a provocation_n to_o they_o that_o send_v he_o and_o it_o be_v a_o wretched_a fault_n in_o servant_n when_o they_o be_v send_v forth_o of_o the_o family_n about_o business_n they_o can_v find_v the_o way_n in_o again_o in_o any_o due_a time_n thus_o of_o the_o duty_n to_o which_o they_o be_v exhort_v to_o they_o that_o be_v your_o master_n they_o must_v be_v subject_a and_o obedient_a to_o all_o praise_n to_o be_v a_o religious_a servant_n of_o a_o irreligious_a master_n to_o fear_n god_n in_o a_o profane_a house_n 2._o to_o servant_n and_o so_o they_o be_v a_o limitation_n they_o be_v subject_a only_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o flesh_n and_o body_n and_o so_o here_o be_v two_o thing_n to_o be_v observe_v the_o one_o express_v the_o body_n of_o servant_n be_v in_o the_o power_n and_o at_o the_o dispose_n of_o the_o master_n and_o therefore_o servant_n must_v learn_v to_o subject_v their_o flesh_n to_o their_o master_n both_o command_n restraint_n and_o correction_n the_o other_o imply_v the_o soul_n of_o servant_n be_v not_o in_o the_o power_n and_o at_o the_o dispose_n of_o master_n their_o spirit_n be_v free_a nor_o master_n nor_o king_n can_v command_v the_o conscience_n use_n be_v first_o for_o reproof_n of_o such_o servant_n as_o give_v more_o to_o their_o master_n then_o be_v due_a thou_o ought_v to_o be_v of_o the_o same_o call_n trade_n labour_n etc._n etc._n that_o thy_o master_n be_v of_o but_o thou_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o be_v of_o the_o same_o religion_n or_o humour_n with_o thy_o master_n it_o be_v a_o great_a fault_n not_o to_o give_v the_o body_n to_o thy_o master_n but_o a_o great_a fault_n also_o to_o give_v both_o body_n and_o soul_n to_o be_v at_o his_o dispose_n both_o be_v extreme_n second_o shall_v servant_n fear_v their_o master_n because_o they_o have_v power_n over_o the_o flesh_n how_o much_o more_o shall_v we_o fear_v god_n that_o have_v power_n to_o destroy_v both_o soul_n and_o flesh_n in_o hell_n math._n 10._o three_o this_o may_v be_v a_o great_a comfort_n to_o a_o servant_n thy_o soul_n be_v as_o free_a as_o the_o soul_n of_o he_o that_o sit_v on_o a_o throne_n thy_o service_n in_o the_o flesh_n derogate_v nothing_o from_o the_o liberty_n of_o christ_n in_o thy_o heart_n thy_o best_a part_n be_v free_a in_o all_o thing_n servant_n must_v obey_v in_o all_o thing_n even_o in_o thing_n that_o be_v against_o their_o credit_n profit_n like_v ease_n etc._n etc._n there_o be_v a_o great_a sturdiness_n in_o many_o servant_n either_o they_o will_v not_o do_v something_n require_v or_o not_o at_o the_o time_n when_o they_o be_v bid_v or_o not_o in_o the_o manner_n but_o as_o they_o listen_v these_o course_n be_v vile_a and_o here_o condemn_v ob._n ob._n object_n but_o unlawful_a and_o unmeet_a thing_n be_v require_v sol._n sol._n i_o answer_v that_o in_o case_n of_o this_o nature_n three_o rule_n be_v to_o be_v observe_v by_o inferior_n first_o if_o the_o matter_n require_v be_v only_o inexpedient_a and_o unmeet_a thou_o must_v obey_v neither_o do_v this_o rule_n let_v but_o that_o servant_n or_o inferior_n may_v use_v all_o humble_a and_o lawful_a mean_n to_o prevent_v unmeet_a thing_n second_o thou_o must_v be_v sure_a it_o be_v sin_n that_o thou_o refuse_v thou_o must_v not_o disobey_v upon_o conceit_n or_o conjecture_v nor_o upon_o thy_o own_o humour_n and_o opinion_n but_o it_o must_v appear_v by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n to_o be_v a_o sin_n or_o else_o thy_o conjecture_n be_v no_o ground_n of_o disobedience_n if_o thou_o must_v needs_o doubt_v on_o both_o side_n it_o be_v better_a doubt_n and_o obey_v than_o doubt_n and_o disobey_v three_o when_o it_o be_v apparent_a to_o be_v impious_a and_o sinful_a that_o be_v require_v yet_o thou_o must_v look_v to_o the_o manner_n of_o disobedience_n thou_o must_v yield_v thyself_o to_o obey_v by_o suffer_v yea_o it_o be_v a_o wretched_a fault_n in_o servant_n or_o inferior_n that_o be_v urge_v to_o unlawful_a thing_n to_o refuse_v with_o sturdy_a and_o insolent_a and_o provoke_a word_n or_o behaviour_n god_n free_v thou_o from_o disobedience_n in_o act_n but_o he_o free_v thou_o not_o from_o reverence_n and_o from_o a_o holy_a estimation_n and_o humble_a demeanour_n the_o use_n be_v for_o great_a reproof_n of_o servant_n both_o indiscretion_n and_o stubborness_n and_o withal_o it_o charge_v master_n they_o must_v not_o require_v their_o servant_n to_o lie_v and_o swear_v in_o their_o shop_n only_o to_o please_v and_o profit_v they_o nor_o may_v they_o make_v their_o servant_n break_v god_n they_o so_o that_o he_o meet_v with_o the_o wretched_a faultinesse_n of_o such_o servant_n as_o when_o their_o master_n back_n be_v turn_v neglect_v their_o labour_n fall_v to_o loiter_v or_o get_v they_o out_o of_o the_o door_n or_o which_o be_v worse_o fall_v to_o wantonness_n drunkenness_n filch_v smite_v of_o their_o fellow_n and_o quarrel_v these_o servant_n shall_v have_v their_o portion_n
