suffering_n be_v all_o for_o our_o sake_n fvrthermore_o all_o the_o suffering_n and_o temptation_n wherewith_o christ_n be_v assail_v and_o tempt_v be_v exceed_o many_o and_o grievous_a he_o suffer_v that_o the_o death_n of_o all_o the_o godly_a be_v swallow_v up_o and_o quite_o abolish_v i●_n will_v be_v good_a for_o thou_o therefore_o diligent_o to_o meditate_v and_o consider_v in_o thy_o mind_n what_o manner_n of_o death_n he_o die_v and_o how_o he_o behave_v himself_o in_o that_o most_o sharp_a and_o bitter_a conflict_n of_o all_o other_o when_o as_o hang_v upon_o the_o cross_n he_o be_v overwhelm_v as_o it_o be_v with_o most_o grievous_a and_o horrible_a temptation_n imitate_v and_o follow_v he_o and_o call_v unto_o god_n for_o help_v that_o thou_o may_v be_v enable_v thereunto_o chap._n xii_o of_o christ_n his_o threefold_a temptation_n first_o the_o jew_n seek_v to_o tempt_v christ_n with_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n christ_n 1_o temptation_n of_o christ_n as_o one_o in_o down_o and_o thou_o also_o through_o the_o same_o christ_n shall_v likewise_o cast_v he_o down_o and_o overcome_v he_o stretch_v out_o thy_o shield_n of_o faith_n in_o christ_n jesus_n thy_o lord_n and_o saviour_n christ_n be_v lord_n of_o life_n &_o king_n of_o eternal_a glory_n be_v not_o so_o make_v subject_n unto_o death_n as_o to_o be_v overcome_v or_o to_o be_v hold_v still_o of_o death_n but_o he_o live_v and_o reign_v for_o ever_o in_o this_o case_n then_o thy_o lord_n and_o saviour_n live_v and_o reign_v for_o ever_o doubtless_o he_o will_v not_o leave_v thou_o nor_o forsake_v thou_o neither_o will_v he_o suffer_v death_n to_o exercise_v tyranny_n and_o dominion_n over_o thou_o he_o can_v deceive_v thou_o nor_o falsify_v his_o word_n and_o promise_n make_v unto_o thou_o since_o he_o be_v truth_n itself_o have_v this_o confidence_n in_o he_o and_o assure_v thyself_o of_o his_o goodness_n and_o of_o his_o love_n and_o care_n &_o tender_a affection_n towards_o thou_o and_o behold_v thou_o shall_v most_o assure_o live_v with_o he_o for_o ever_o death_n a_o twofold_a benefit_n we_o receive_v by_o death_n and_o whereas_o he_o will_v have_v thou_o through_o many_o affliction_n and_o trial_n to_o undergo_v this_o bodily_a death_n it_o be_v for_o thy_o own_o sake_n and_o for_o thy_o good_a for_o first_o there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n whereby_o to_o pass_v into_o the_o true_a and_o everlasting_a life_n then_o by_o this_o bodily_a death_n we_o must_v then_o leave_v and_o lay_v down_o this_o life_n if_o we_o will_v enjoy_v eternal_a life_n and_o so_o after_o this_o life_n begin_v to_o live_v true_o and_o indeed_o beside_o this_o bodily_a death_n be_v good_a and_o profitable_a in_o this_o respect_n that_o have_v taste_v the_o sharpness_n and_o bitterness_n thereof_o thou_o may_v by_o experience_n know_v and_o perceive_v how_o fervent_a the_o love_n of_o christ_n be_v towards_o thou_o and_o how_o inestimable_a a_o benefit_n he_o bestow_v upon_o thou_o when_o as_o die_v for_o thou_o in_o his_o own_o body_n he_o discharge_v and_o make_v satisfaction_n for_o all_o thy_o sin_n death_n be_v altogether_o extinguish_v and_o abolish_v and_o the_o very_a gate_n of_o hell_n shake_v in_o piece_n cast_v down_o and_o overthrow_v for_o otherwise_o thou_o can_v not_o perceive_v nor_o understand_v the_o operation_n and_o power_n of_o life_n in_o christ_n how_o great_a it_o be_v which_o have_v swallow_v up_o our_o death_n neither_o shall_v thou_o acknowledge_v the_o greatness_n of_o the_o benefit_n nor_o give_v due_a thanks_n as_o thou_o ought_v unto_o christ_n thy_o lord_n and_o thy_o redeemer_n wherefore_o in_o that_o christ_n live_v thou_o also_o shall_v live_v &_o this_o death_n shall_v be_v unto_o thou_o a_o happy_a and_o pleasant_a sleep_n
