reason_n of_o his_o ordinance_n with_o more_o assurance_n to_o the_o conscience_n then_o from_o any_o private_a person_n use_v 3_o be_v it_o so_o that_o the_o apostle_n etc._n etc._n this_o than_o that_o they_o may_v admire_v christ_n that_o the_o thought_n and_o affection_n of_o man_n may_v be_v carry_v to_o he_o they_o must_v not_o preach_v themselves_o but_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n as_o the_o apostle_n do_v 2_o cor._n 4_o 5._o use_v 4_o be_v it_o so_o that_o apostle_n minister_n etc._n etc._n then_o let_v the_o church_n be_v here_o direct_v and_o advise_v to_o prove_v those_o when_o indeed_o he_o never_o send_v they_o they_o be_v messenger_n of_o satan_n and_o not_o of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o it_o concern_v the_o church_n to_o prove_v they_o well_o who_o come_v with_o these_o pretence_n and_o to_o sift_v they_o to_o the_o bottom_n that_o they_o may_v know_v not_o the_o speech_n of_o these_o man_n only_o but_o the_o power_n as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v 1_o cor._n 4_o 19_o and_o here_o you_o be_v not_o only_o to_o consider_v whether_o they_o have_v obtain_v the_o election_n and_o ordination_n of_o the_o church_n or_o no_o for_o many_o reach_n to_o this_o who_o be_v never_o send_v by_o christ_n but_o there_o be_v other_o thing_n to_o be_v observe_v i_o shall_v lay_v they_o down_o in_o order_n they_o that_o be_v send_v by_o jesus_n christ_n be_v furnish_v with_o competent_a ability_n at_o least_o for_o the_o delivery_n of_o their_o message_n you_o must_v not_o think_v that_o christ_n will_v send_v by_o the_o hand_n of_o a_o fool_n no_o if_o there_o be_v a_o messenger_n of_o christ_n he_o be_v one_o of_o a_o thousand_o for_o gift_n and_o ability_n in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o law_n when_o he_o raise_v up_o prophet_n what_o spirit_n what_o power_n what_o understanding_n be_v there_o in_o they_o and_o be_v his_o hand_n shorten_v

the_o power_n of_o darkness_n as_o it_o be_v style_v in_o the_o scripture_n all_o the_o unite_a strength_n of_o hell_n itself_o nothing_o but_o the_o power_n of_o heaven_n be_v able_a to_o out_o wrestle_v this_o and_o they_o that_o will_v struggle_v with_o it_o have_v need_n be_v strengthen_v by_o that_o glorious_a power_n and_o hence_o our_o saviour_n place_v the_o security_n of_o his_o strength_n that_o be_v within_o they_o or_o without_o they_o and_o therefore_o i_o beseech_v thou_o father_n keep_v they_o through_o thy_o own_o name_n well_o then_o my_o brethren_n let_v none_o of_o we_o be_v strong_a in_o his_o own_o strength_n let_v we_o not_o trust_v to_o our_o own_o ability_n to_o support_v we_o and_o uphold_v we_o to_o bear_v we_o up_o and_o to_o safeguard_v we_o in_o temptation_n and_o affliction_n but_o let_v we_o know_v that_o grace_n receive_v and_o infuse_v be_v not_o sufficient_a of_o itself_o to_o keep_v we_o unless_o it_o be_v corroborate_v and_o support_v still_o with_o new_a assist_a grace_n and_o strength_n from_o god_n and_o therefore_o he_o be_v say_v to_o keep_v we_o who_o be_v sanctify_v that_o we_o fall_v not_o and_o we_o be_v keep_v not_o by_o inherent_a faith_n alone_o but_o by_o the_o power_n of_o god_n through_o faith_n unto_o salvation_n 1_o pet._n 1.4_o and_o thus_o the_o lord_n have_v order_v it_o that_o though_o we_o be_v endue_v with_o some_o degree_n of_o grace_n and_o spiritual_a strength_n we_o may_v be_v hold_v to_o a_o perpetual_a necessary_a firm_a dependence_n on_o he_o notwithstanding_o and_o therefore_o when_o we_o strength_n of_o his_o inherent_a grace_n he_o think_v no_o doubt_n his_o faith_n be_v so_o impregnable_a that_o no_o temptation_n can_v prevail_v so_o far_o against_o it_o to_o cause_v he_o to_o deny_v his_o lord_n and_o master_n no_o not_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n itself_o and_o therefore_o god_n desert_v he_o in_o reference_n to_o his_o assist_a grace_n and_o so_o he_o fall_v in_o the_o temptation_n let_v we_o be_v wary_a of_o the_o same_o error_n lest_o we_o find_v the_o same_o issue_n use_v 2_o be_v it_o so_o that_o they_o that_o belong_v to_o jesus_n christ_n be_v keep_v etc._n etc._n this_o than_o shall_v teach_v we_o to_o be_v bold_a and_o resolute_a in_o all_o case_n and_o not_o to_o cast_v away_o our_o confidence_n how_o desperate_a soever_o our_o condition_n be_v i_o say_v as_o the_o prophet_n who_o be_v among_o you_o that_o fear_v the_o lord_n that_o walk_v in_o darkness_n and_o can_v see_v no_o light_n let_v he_o trust_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n the_o danger_n be_v within_o we_o shall_v be_v keep_v by_o the_o almighty_a power_n of_o god_n within_o we_o strengthen_v if_o our_o danger_n be_v without_o we_o shall_v be_v keep_v by_o the_o almighty_a power_n of_o god_n without_o we_o guard_v and_o defend_v if_o our_o danger_n be_v within_o by_o reason_n of_o temptation_n or_o affliction_n that_o lie_v hard_a upon_o we_o and_o be_v about_o to_o overcome_v we_o let_v we_o take_v courage_n to_o ourselves_o and_o resolve_v we_o shall_v be_v keep_v by_o this_o almighty_a power_n of_o god_n within_o we_o strengthen_v and_o support_v and_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v strengthen_v with_o all_o might_n according_a to_o his_o glorious_a power_n oh_o thy_o temptation_n or_o affliction_n thou_o will_v say_v be_v a_o crush_a burden_n to_o thou_o thou_o be_v not_o able_a to_o sustain_v it_o thou_o will_v cry_v out_o as_o job_n perhaps_o job_n 6.11_o what_o be_v my_o strength_n that_o i_o shall_v hope_v be_v my_o strength_n the_o
