tie_n of_o civil_a duty_n the_o religious_a bond_n of_o this_o vow_n and_o protestation_n for_o the_o firm_a oblige_v of_o our_o allegiance_n to_o the_o government_n and_o in_o the_o instruction_n for_o the_o take_n of_o the_o solemn_a league_n and_o covenant_n throughout_o the_o kingdom_n art_n 10._o there_o be_v a_o exhortation_n order_v to_o be_v make_v to_o all_o sort_n of_o person_n to_o take_v it_o as_o that_o which_o they_o judge_v not_o only_o lawful_a but_o all_o thing_n consider_v exceed_v expedient_a and_o necessary_a for_o all_o that_o wish_v well_o to_o religion_n the_o king_n and_o kingdom_n to_o join_v in_o from_o these_o three_o consideration_n as_o premise_n we_o infer_v first_o there_o be_v no_o place_n need_v or_o occasion_n for_o such_o a_o attempt_n 〈◊〉_d be_v the_o abolish_n of_o the_o old_a and_o rear_v a_o new_a model_n of_o government_n 1._o say_v that_o some_o invest_v with_o the_o government_n have_v be_v faulty_a that_o be_v no_o ground_n for_o change_v the_o government_n if_o it_o be_v we_o may_v run_v through_o all_o form_n of_o policy_n and_o stay_v in_o none_o but_o still_o be_v change_v for_o man_n will_v still_o be_v find_v fail_v our_o government_n be_v lawful_a and_o good_a our_o course_n be_v as_o to_o this_o case_n to_o pray_v that_o our_o magistrate_n may_v be_v good_a as_o we_o be_v require_v by_o the_o apostle_n 1.2_o apostle_n 1_o tim._n 2_o 1.2_o for_o unless_o it_o please_v god_n to_o give_v we_o just_a and_o godly_a magistrate_n the_o best_a constitution_n will_v nothing_o avail_v we_o and_o if_o that_o be_v behead_v of_o its_o government_n if_o that_o maxim_n we_o have_v often_o hear_v of_o the_o king_n never_o die_v be_v true_a and_o that_o act_n for_o the_o continuance_n of_o the_o parliament_n till_o it_o dissolve_v itself_o be_v still_o a_o law_n we_o can_v but_o conceive_v we_o have_v a_o government_n actual_o invest_v and_o however_o it_o be_v who_o can_v deny_v but_o still_o there_o be_v a_o obligation_n and_o right_n in_o we_o to_o the_o government_n and_o as_o it_o be_v a_o far_o easy_a way_n to_o restore_v the_o former_a government_n to_o its_o natural_a course_n then_o to_o remove_v it_o and_o settle_v another_o so_o we_o believe_v if_o we_o of_o this_o nation_n shall_v find_v favour_n in_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o lord_n he_o will_v raise_v it_o up_o again_o we_o observe_v if_o we_o understand_v the_o remonstrance_n of_o his_o excellency_n etc._n etc._n of_o novemb_n 20._o and_o the_o declaration_n of_o novemb_n 30._o and_o the_o humble_a answer_n of_o january_n 3._o and_o
