be_v also_o evident_a that_o as_o the_o parliament_n can_v well_o be_v without_o their_o force_n so_o they_o can_v be_v without_o the_o parliament_n authority_n upon_o all_o these_o consideration_n the_o soldier_n have_v reason_n to_o be_v against_o this_o paper_n which_o propose_v by_o agreement_n to_o take_v away_o the_o cause_n they_o have_v fight_v for_o reason_n 13_o because_o although_o there_o be_v a_o quiet_a possession_n of_o all_o that_o be_v desire_v in_o this_o paper_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o like_a to_o stand_v long_o the_o interest_n of_o all_o that_o be_v most_o considerable_a oblige_v they_o to_o be_v against_o the_o keep_n of_o this_o agreement_n for_o instance_n in_o reason_n all_o king_n will_v be_v against_o it_o for_o they_o and_o their_o heir_n and_o successor_n be_v utter_o exclude_v out_o of_o this_o government_n the_o peer_n will_v be_v against_o it_o there_o be_v likewise_o a_o exclusion_n of_o the_o house_n of_o peer_n the_o soldier_n will_v be_v against_o it_o because_o it_o offer_v forcible_o to_o take_v away_o the_o parliament_n they_o have_v fight_v for_o who_o authority_n give_v they_o a_o being_n as_o soldier_n and_o under_o who_o authority_n they_o act_v the_o magistrate_n or_o people_n of_o that_o quality_n capable_a of_o government_n will_v be_v against_o it_o because_o it_o leave_v at_o the_o best_a

but_o the_o colour_n of_o a_o magistrate_n with_o no_o power_n but_o such_o as_o be_v alterable_a and_o revokeable_a at_o the_o pleasure_n of_o any_o multitude_n the_o faithful_a and_o conscientious_a minister_n will_v be_v against_o it_o for_o as_o it_o give_v they_o no_o protection_n countenance_n encouragement_n or_o assistance_n by_o the_o magistrate_n so_o it_o leave_v all_o their_o people_n to_o the_o practice_n and_o profession_n of_o blasphemy_n atheism_n heresy_n error_n and_o profaneness_n without_o control_n and_o it_o be_v like_o that_o most_o of_o the_o religious_a and_o discreet_a people_n will_v be_v against_o it_o because_o it_o neither_o provide_v for_o increase_v of_o piety_n nor_o give_v security_n for_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o liberty_n or_o property_n nor_o hope_n of_o union_n which_o may_v bring_v a_o settlement_n and_o peace_n and_o what_o sort_n of_o people_n be_v leave_v who_o interest_n it_o will_v be_v to_o preserve_v this_o agreement_n i_o leave_v any_o one_o to_o consider_v whether_o they_o will_v not_o be_v only_o such_o who_o because_o they_o can_v bring_v themselves_o within_o the_o protection_n of_o the_o law_n establish_v and_o present_a government_n will_v possible_o sign_v this_o agreement_n that_o so_o they_o may_v bring_v the_o law_n and_o government_n to_o their_o will_n and_o corrupt_a interest_n for_o so_o indeed_o they_o do_v that_o subscribe_v this_o agreement_n no_o obedience_n be_v to_o be_v give_v to_o this_o representative_a but_o in_o their_o keep_v this_o agreement_n and_o there_o be_v no_o other_o judge_n thereof_o but_o the_o subscriber_n who_o in_o the_o result_n of_o all_o have_v the_o law_n in_o their_o own_o will_n upon_o all_o which_o ground_n there_o be_v no_o hope_n that_o this_o agreement_n if_o it_o pay_v that_o there_o be_v no_o restriction_n which_o be_v no_o regulation_n of_o trade_n that_o there_o be_v no_o lawyer_n nor_o law_n but_o new_a rule_n in_o english_a to_o be_v make_v by_o the_o new_a representative_a and_o twelve_o man_n in_o every_o hundred_o to_o be_v judge_n of_o all_o cause_n who_o be_v likewise_o intend_v to_o supply_v the_o office_n of_o all_o mayor_n sheriff_n choose_v such_o a_o representative_a as_o will_v grant_v they_o all_o indeed_o if_o these_o must_v be_v have_v i_o agree_v there_o be_v a_o necessity_n by_o some_o mean_n or_o other_o to_o take_v away_o this_o parliament_n for_o i_o believe_v that_o they_o will_v never_o grant_v such_o thing_n as_o the_o make_n of_o law_n in_o the_o favour_n of_o treason_n burglary_n felony_n sodemy_n buggery_n rape_n and_o such_o like_a abomination_n from_o which_o the_o punishment_n of_o death_n be_v by_o these_o man_n desire_v to_o be_v take_v off_o especial_o consider_v that_o the_o many_o good_a law_n which_o have_v be_v make_v under_o high_a penalty_n as_o now_o they_o stand_v do_v not_o hinder_v nor_o deter_v man_n from_o those_o foul_a offence_n which_o be_v daily_o and_o frequent_o commit_v in_o all_o part_n of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o therefore_o there_o rather_o appear_v need_n of_o strict_a provision_n against_o they_o but_o when_o the_o new_a representative_a shall_v take_v appear_v that_o they_o be_v work_v to_o a_o universal_a licentiousness_n as_o well_o in_o the_o civil_a state_n as_o in_o matter_n of_o religion_n by_o which_o liberty_n all_o truth_n and_o every_o man_n property_n with_o the_o government_n which_o be_v the_o band_n of_o human_a society_n will_v be_v destroy_v i_o have_v think_v to_o have_v close_v here_o but_o i_o can_v conclude_v without_o a_o word_n upon_o that_o particular_a propose_v that_o no_o tithe_n be_v pay_v because_o i_o believe_v that_o take_v away_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n with_o their_o maintenance_n lie_v at_o the_o bottom_n of_o it_o i_o say_v so_o upon_o this_o ground_n because_o i_o do_v yet_o never_o speak_v with_o any_o man_n who_o be_v for_o the_o take_v away_o tithe_n from_o minister_n without_o as_o good_a maintenance_n first_o provide_v in_o a-settled_a and_o certain_a way_n which_o i_o can_v never_o yet_o hear_v propound_v but_o he_o be_v for_o the_o take_v away_o the_o minister_n themselves_o
