appear_v that_o the_o say_a lord_n mount-norris_a utter_v and_o speak_v the_o say_v word_n in_o manner_n and_o former_a and_o at_o the_o time_n and_o place_n aforesaid_a the_o charge_n lay_v against_o first_o for_o this_o nature_n of_o the_o offence_n we_o conceive_v it_o to_o contain_v first_o a_o calumny_n against_o the_o person_n of_o we_o the_o deputy_n and_o general_n of_o the_o army_n insinuate_v by_o these_o word_n the_o public_a affront_n or_o the_o disgrace_n which_o my_o lord_n deputy_n have_v do_v he_o former_o that_o indeed_o there_o have_v be_v such_o a_o affront_n or_o disgrace_v put_v upon_o he_o by_o we_o the_o lord_n deputy_n whereas_o in_o truth_n it_o be_v nothing_o so_o but_o that_o which_o be_v pretend_v by_o the_o lord_n mount-norris_a to_o have_v be_v the_o say_a disgrace_n or_o affront_v to_o his_o kinsman_n be_v this_o that_o his_o say_a kinsman_n be_v one_o of_o the_o horse_n troop_n command_v by_o we_o the_o lord_n deputy_n in_o the_o time_n of_o exercise_v the_o say_a troop_n be_v out_o of_o order_n on_o horseback_n to_o the_o disturbance_n of_o the_o rest_n then_o in_o exercise_v for_o which_o we_o the_o lord_n deputy_n in_o a_o mild_a manner_n reprove_v he_o as_o soon_o as_o we_o turn_v aside_o from_o he_o we_o observe_v he_o to_o laugh_v and_o geere_fw-mi we_o for_o our_o just_a reproof_n of_o he_o which_o we_o dislike_a return_n to_o he_o and_o lay_v a_o small_a cane_n which_o we_o then_o carry_v on_o his_o shoulder_n yet_o without_o any_o blow_n or_o stroke_n then_o give_v he_o therewith_o tell_v he_o that_o if_o he_o do_v serve_v we_o so_o any_o more_o we_o will_v lay_v he_o over_o the_o pate_n the_o truth_n of_o which_o fact_n appear_v unto_o we_o by_o the_o relation_n of_o his_o majesty_n say_v deputy_n and_o our_o general_n avow_v and_o confirm_v by_o two_o of_o we_o the_o captain_n namely_o the_o lord_n kirkudbright_n and_o sir_n frederick_n hamilton_n knight_n who_o then_o see_v the_o manner_n of_o it_o and_o now_o sit_v as_o member_n of_o this_o council_n which_o say_v act_n be_v by_o this_o whole_a council_n adjudge_v to_o have_v be_v a_o far_o mild_a proceed_n with_o the_o say_v annesley_n than_o such_o a_o insolence_n and_o disobedience_n to_o any_o commander_n much_o more_o to_o his_o general_n merit_v and_o therefore_o it_o be_v a_o speech_n savour_v doubtless_o of_o malice_n to_o insinuate_v that_o as_o a_o affront_n or_o disgrace_n which_o be_v indeed_o a_o just_o merit_v but_o mild_a and_o modest_a reprehension_n and_o admonition_n second_o we_o conceive_v the_o offence_n to_o contain_v a_o incitement_n to_o a_o revenge_n in_o these_o word_n but_o be_v have_v a_o brother_n that_o will_v not_o take_v such_o a_o revenge_n which_o incitement_n may_v have_v give_v encouragement_n to_o as_o render_v the_o speaker_n a_o delinquent_n in_o a_o high_a and_o transcendent_a manner_n against_o the_o person_n of_o his_o general_n and_o his_o majesty_n authority_n whence_o we_o derive_v our_o power_n this_o council_n also_o take_v it_o into_o consideration_n that_o if_o the_o like_a word_n have_v be_v speak_v of_o the_o sacred_a person_n of_o our_o dread_a sovereign_a lord_n the_o of_o his_o deputy_n and_o the_o revenge_n thus_o insolent_o vaunt_v to_o have_v be_v take_v upon_o he_o be_v do_v when_o we_o the_o deputy_n and_o general_n have_v that_o great_a and_o high_a honour_n
