god_n to_o moses_n and_o tell_v pharaoh_n etc_n etc_n let_v my_o people_n go_v &_o serve_v i_o or_o else_o at_o this_o time_n i_o will_v send_v all_o my_o plague_n upon_o thy_o heart_n and_o upon_o be_v a_o severe_a god_n 1â—_o and_o *_o will_v terrible_o punish_v the_o obdurate_a &_o unrepentant_a sinner_n yea_o though_o they_o be_v never_o so_o great_a king_n &_o prince_n that_o he_o be_v a_o wise_a god_n that_o can_v turn_v the_o wicked_a malice_n and_o obstinacy_n of_o sinner_n to_o the_o work_v of_o his_o great_a glory_n that_o he_o be_v a_o careful_a and_o merciful_a god_n toward_o his_o people_n and_o for_o their_o defence_n and_o deliverance_n will_v not_o stick_v to_o break_v and_o pull_v down_o even_o mighty_a prince_n and_o people_n there_o be_v also_o a_o other_o cause_n why_o god_n do_v here_o suffer_v pharaoh_n &_o at_o other_o time_n bear_v with_o other_o grievous_a sinner_n and_o only_o for_o the_o time_n punish_v they_o with_o light_n &_o mean_a plague_n and_o this_o be_v by_o his_o great_a lenity_n sufferance_n and_o mildness_n if_o it_o may_v be_v to_o bring_v they_o to_o repentance_n or_o otherwise_o if_o they_o will_v not_o repent_v that_o they_o shall_v declare_v themselves_o to_o the_o world_n to_o be_v unexcusable_a and_o god_n in_o his_o judgement_n when_o he_o do_v confound_v they_o to_o be_v a_o just_a god_n of_o this_o cause_n speak_v can_v wherefore_o when_o we_o see_v in_o these_o chapiters_n that_n all_o endeavour_n be_v use_v both_o by_o god_n and_o by_o his_o servant_n to_o persuade_v pharaoh_n and_o yet_o that_o he_o be_v nothing_o move_v either_o by_o his_o word_n or_o by_o his_o threaten_n or_o by_o his_o miracle_n or_o by_o the_o counsel_n and_o advertisement_n of_o moses_n and_o aaron_n yea_o or_o of_o his_o own_o subject_n we_o be_v teach_v that_o all_o the_o work_n &_o endeavour_n of_o man_n to_o bring_v sinner_n from_o their_o obstinacy_n unto_o the_o embrace_v of_o god_n holy_a will_n be_v all_o vain_a unless_o it_o please_v god_n also_o to_o work_v by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n wherefore_o we_o must_v submit_v ourselves_o to_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o god_n in_o his_o secret_a judgement_n and_o otherwise_o we_o must_v by_o these_o example_n learn_v that_o they_o come_v not_o by_o chance_n or_o by_o natural_a cause_n only_o but_o that_o they_o be_v send_v of_o god_n as_o punishment_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o disobedience_n to_o the_o will_n and_o word_n of_o god_n 2._o and_o as_o *_o mean_v to_o bring_v we_o to_o repentance_n or_o else_o that_o god_n will_v lay_v on_o we_o continual_o more_o of_o his_o plague_n until_o he_o bring_v we_o to_o utter_a confusion_n as_o he_o do_v pharaoh_n and_o the_o egyptian_n all_o who_o disobedience_n spring_v of_o this_o root_n that_o they_o contemn_v the_o word_n of_o god_n bring_v unto_o they_o by_o his_o servant_n the_o contempt_n whereof_o if_o repentance_n do_v not_o prevent_v it_o god_n have_v always_o punish_v with_o induration_n and_o utter_a desolation_n when_o we_o read_v that_o the_o israelite_n be_v clear_a from_o all_o those_o grievous_a plague_n with_o which_o the_o egyptian_n be_v punish_v we_o must_v to_o our_o comfort_n consider_v
that_o can_v more_o move_v either_o a_o godly_a person_n or_o any_o man_n of_o common_a sense_n and_o reason_n to_o love_n and_o obey_v one_o than_o to_o consider_v his_o great_a work_n and_o benefit_n do_v for_o his_o defence_n and_o deliverance_n out_o of_o thraledome_n and_o misery_n 18._o therefore_o moses_n will_v the_o child_n of_o israel_n to_o descend_v into_o earnest_a *_o consideration_n with_o themselves_o 11._o how_o great_a and_o marvelous_a work_n god_n have_v do_v for_o they_o 9_o that_o he_o choose_v they_o first_o as_o his_o peculiar_a people_n among_o all_o and_o to_o all_o his_o prince_n 13_o that_o as_o the_o promise_n be_v conditional_a and_o require_v as_o well_o their_o obedience_n on_o the_o one_o part_n as_o his_o truth_n on_o the_o other_o so_o if_o they_o fulfil_v not_o the_o condition_n they_o neither_o may_v nor_o shall_v be_v partaker_n of_o the_o benefit_n of_o the_o covenant_n the_o place_n be_v holy_a wherein_o the_o king_n of_o juda_n do_v sit_v and_o they_o be_v figure_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n therefore_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n may_v the_o less_o bear_v with_o their_o wickedness_n by_o this_o we_o may_v for_o any_o other_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v bind_v hand_n and_o foot_n and_o cast_v into_o it_o and_o that_o with_o so_o great_a haste_n and_o fury_n that_o they_o may_v not_o tarry_v to_o put_v of_o their_o garment_n but_o to_o be_v cast_v in_o clothes_n and_o all_o etc_n etc_n the_o flame_n of_o the_o fire_n destroy_v they_o that_o put_v in_o sidrach_n etc_n misach_n and_o etc_n etc_n hitherto_o god_n may_v seem_v to_o neglect_v the_o defence_n of_o his_o servant_n and_o to_o suffer_v tyrant_n and_o tormentor_n to_o use_v all_o extremity_n toward_o they_o but_o when_o man_n help_n be_v past_a than_o god_n show_v his_o power_n and_o deliver_v his_o faithful_a with_o the_o dreadful_a punishment_n of_o the_o wicked_a the_o same_o god_n that_o make_v the_o fire_n hurtless_a to_o his_o angel_n to_o comfort_v his_o servant_n to_o abash_v his_o enemy_n and_o to_o make_v his_o glorious_a name_n and_o power_n to_o be_v know_v in_o the_o world_n and_o confess_v even_o by_o the_o mouth_n of_o they_o that_o before_o with_o all_o endeavour_n seek_v to_o oppress_v the_o same_o the_o king_n be_v astonish_v his_o noble_n flock_v together_o to_o behold_v the_o thing_n all_o the_o multitude_n wonder_v to_o see_v the_o marvelous_a work_n of_o god._n then_o speak_v nabuchodonozor_n and_o say_v 29._o bless_a be_v the_o lord_n god_n of_o sidrach_n etc_n etc_n now_o follow_v the_o conversion_n of_o nabuchodonozor_n and_o his_o repentance_n make_v open_a confession_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_o and_o as_o a_o good_a convert_n show_v the_o fruit_n of_o repentance_n he_o jakes_n if_o nabuchodonozor_n a_o heathen_a prince_n by_o this_o one_o miracle_n be_v so_o move_v as_o in_o his_o whole_a domination_n he_o will_v not_o suffer_v one_o without_o punishment_n to_o blaspheme_v the_o name_n of_o god_n what_o shall_v we_o think_v of_o they_o which_o profess_v themselves_o to_o be_v christian_n have_v hard_o the_o voice_n of_o the_o gospel_n these_o many_o year_n sound_v throughout_o all_o christendom_n and_o have_v see_v great_a &_o strange_a work_n of_o god_n to_o the_o advauncement_n of_o the_o same_o and_o yet_o remain_v both_o themselves_o obstinate_a and_o cause_v their_o subject_n for_o the_o profession_n of_o god_n truth_n cruel_o to_o be_v murder_v the_o 19_o sunday_n after_o trinity_n at_o evening_n prayer_n daniel_n 6._o it_o please_v darius_n to_o set_v over_o his_o kingdom_n a_o hundred_o and_o twenty_o governor_n which_o shall_v be_v over_o the_o whole_a kingdom_n 2_o above_o these_o he_o set_v three_o prince_n of_o who_o
