and_o maintainer_n shall_v incur_v a_o praemunire_n and_o their_o
their_o dweling_n etc._n etc._n shall_v abjure_v the_o realm_n 3._o a_o popish_a recusant_n be_v not_o feme_fw-fr covert_n nor_o have_v land_n worth_a twenty_o mark_n per_fw-la annum_fw-la or_o good_n worth_a forty_o pound_n which_o within_o the_o time_n above-limited_n do_v not_o repair_v to_o the_o place_n of_o his_o abode_n or_o do_v depart_v above_o five_o mile_n thence_o or_o within_o three_o prison_n till_o he_o answer_v etc._n etc._n and_o this_o act_n be_v not_o to_o restrain_v any_o recusant_n urge_v by_o process_n of_o law_n without_o fraud_n to_o travel_v without_o the_o say_a limit_n of_o five_o mile_n so_o that_o he_o return_v in_o convenient_a time_n nor_o shall_v it_o restrain_v he_o that_o be_v compel_v by_o law_n to_o render_v his_o body_n to_o the_o sheriff_n submission_n the_o effect_n of_o the_o submission_n 6._o the_o effect_n of_o the_o submission_n whereby_o they_o may_v avoid_v these_o penalty_n be_v that_o the_o recusant_n submit_v do_v acknowledge_v and_o testify_v in_o his_o conscience_n that_o the_o bishop_n and_o see_v of_o rome_n have_v not_o nor_o aught_o to_o have_v any_o power_n or_o authority_n over_o her_o majesty_n statute_n all_o the_o former_a statute_n of_o queen_n elizabeth_n be_v confirm_v and_o appoint_v to_o be_v put_v in_o due_a execution_n etc._n the_o ancestor_n die_v a_o papist_n the_o heir_n be_v of_o the_o peace_n the_o monthly_a absence_n from_o church_n of_o every_o popish_a recusant_n and_o their_o child_n be_v above_o the_o age_n of_o nine_o year_n and_o their_o servant_n together_o with_o the_o age_n of_o their_o child_n as_o well_o as_o they_o can_v be_v know_v on_o pain_n respective_o to_o forfeit_v 20_o s._n for_o every_o default_n and_o this_o presentment_n to_o be_v enter_v by_o the_o clerk_n of_o the_o peace_n or_o town-clerk_n on_o record_n without_o fee_n on_o pain_n of_o 40_o s._n for_o every_o default_n recusant_n officer_n fee_n for_o present_v recusant_n 4._o if_o the_o recusant_n be_v convict_v upon_o such_o presentment_n the_o officer_n present_v he_o shall_v have_v 40_o s._n out_o of_o the_o say_v recusants_n estate_n by_o order_n of_o the_o justice_n of_o peace_n recusant_n who_o have_v power_n to_o punish_v recusant_n 5._o justice_n of_o assize_n goal-delivery_n and_o of_o the_o peace_n have_v power_n of_o hear_v and_o determine_v the_o offence_n of_o such_o popish_a recusant_n as_o well_o for_o their_o not_o take_v the_o sacrament_n as_o for_o not_o come_v to_o the_o church_n according_a to_o this_o and_o former_a law_n and_o statute_n and_o to_o make_v proclamation_n that_o they_o shall_v tender_v themselves_o to_o the_o sheriff_n or_o bailiff_n of_o the_o liberty_n where_o they_o be_v before_o the_o next_o assize_n goal-delivery_n or_o seminary_n priest_n or_o any_o ecclesiastical_a person_n bear_v within_o the_o queen_n dominion_n and_o ordain_v or_o make_v such_o by_o the_o pretend_a jurisdiction_n of_o the_o see_v of_o rome_n which_o come_v into_o or_o remain_v in_o any_o of_o the_o say_v queen_n dominion_n shall_v be_v adjudge_v guilty_a of_o high_a treason_n etc._n jesuit_n etc._n etc._n the_o receiver_n aider_n etc._n shall_v practise_v the_o common_a law_n civil_a law_n physic_n or_o the_o art_n of_o the_o apothecary_n or_o be_v a_o officer_n of_o or_o in_o any_o court_n or_o bear_v any_o office_n among_o soldier_n or_o in_o a_o ship_n castle_n or_o fortress_n on_o pain_n of_o a_o hundred_o pound_n to_o be_v divide_v between_o the_o king_n and_o the_o persecutor_n etc._n popish_a recusant_n convict_v or_o who_o wefe_n be_v such_o may_v not_o bear_v office_n etc._n etc._n 6._o no_o popish_a recusant_n convict_v or_o who_o wife_n be_v a_o popish_a recusant_n convict_v shall_v exercise_v any_o husband_n death_n shall_v forfeit_v two_o three_o of_o her_o dower_n or_o jointure_n and_o shall_v be_v uncapable_a of_o be_v executrix_n or_o administratrix_n to_o her_o husband_n or_o enjoy_v any_o soever_o they_o shall_v be_v print_v or_o write_a nor_o any_o other_o superstitious_a book_n write_v in_o the_o english_a tongue_n on_o pain_n to_o forfeit_v forty_o shilling_n for_o every_o such_o convict_v for_o popish_a book_n and_o relic_n and_o to_o burn_v and_o deface_v such_o as_o they_o shall_v find_v in_o their_o custody_n but_o such_o as_o be_v of_o value_n in_o open_a session_n and_o
