it_o give_v unto_o thou_o for_o no_o deserve_a of_o thou_o but_o of_o mere_a grace_n and_o this_o faith_n justifi_v thou_o thou_o be_v endue_v herewith_o the_o lord_n remit_v all_o thy_o sin_n and_o be_v after_o this_o sort_n first_o of_o all_o be_v require_v that_o thou_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n next_o that_o thou_o believe_v then_o that_o thou_o do_v work_v &_o so_o at_o the_o last_o become_v save_v and_o happy_a he_z which_o change_v this_o order_n without_o doubt_n be_v not_o of_o god_n paul_n also_o describe_v this_o order_n rom._n 10_o say_v whosoever_o shall_v call_v upon_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v save_v but_o how_o shall_v they_o call_v on_o he_o in_o who_o they_o have_v not_o believe_v and_o how_o shall_v they_o believe_v in_o he_o of_o who_o they_o have_v not_o hear_v and_o how_o shall_v they_o hear_v without_o a_o preacher_n and_o how_o shall_v they_o preach_v except_o they_o be_v send_v therefore_o christ_n teach_v we_o to_o pray_v the_o lord_n of_o the_o harvest_n that_o he_o will_v send_v forth_o labourer_n into_o his_o harvest_n that_o be_v sincere_a preacher_n when_o we_o hear_v these_o preach_v the_o true_a word_n of_o god_n we_o may_v believe_v which_o faith_n justifi_v a_o man_n and_o make_v he_o godly_a in_o deed_n that_o he_o now_o call_v upon_o god_n in_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o son_n and_o work_v nothing_o but_o that_o which_o be_v good_a and_o thus_o become_v a_o man_n save_v which_o be_v no_o other_o thing_n then_o if_o i_o say_v he_o that_o believe_v shall_v be_v save_v again_o he_o that_o work_v without_o faith_n be_v condemn_v as_o christ_n say_v he_o that_o do_v not_o believe_v shall_v be_v condemn_v from_o which_o no_o work_n shall_v deliver_v he_o confer_v now_o herewith_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v wont_v common_o to_o be_v speak_v of_o honesty_n and_o righteousness_n be_v they_o not_o wont_v thus_o to_o say_v i_o will_v endeavour_n that_o i_o may_v yet_o become_v honest_a it_o be_v meet_v sure_o that_o we_o study_v to_o lead_v a_o honest_a life_n and_o to_o do_v good_a work_n well_o admit_v this_o to_o be_v so_o but_o if_o one_o they_o ask_v they_o how_o we_o may_v apply_v ourselves_o unto_o honesty_n and_o by_o what_o mean_v we_o may_v attain_v unto_o it_o they_o answer_v that_o we_o must_v fast_o pray_v frequent_a temple_n avoid_v sin_n etc._n etc._n holiness_n hypocritical_a &_o counterfeit_a holiness_n hereupon_o one_o become_v a_o charterhouse_n monk_n a_o other_o choose_v some_o other_o order_n of_o monk_n a_o other_o be_v consecrate_v a_o priest_n some_o torment_n their_o flesh_n by_o wear_v hear_v cloth_n other_o scourge_n their_o body_n with_o whip_n other_o afflict_v themselves_o after_o other_o sort_n but_o these_o be_v even_o of_o cain_n brood_n &_o their_o work_n be_v no_o whit_n better_o than_o the_o work_n of_o cain_n for_o the_o man_n himself_o continue_v the_o same_o that_o he_o be_v before_o ungodly_a and_o without_o all_o justification_n there_o be_v a_o certain_a change_n make_v only_o of_o outward_a work_n of_o apparel_n of_o place_n etc._n etc._n neither_o be_v these_o any_o other_o they_o very_a ape_n of_o saint_n for_o they_o do_v preposterous_o imitate_v the_o manner_n &_o work_n of_o saint_n when_o as_o they_o themselves_o be_v nothing_o less_o they_o saint_n they_o scarce_o think_v of_o faith_n they_o presume_v only_o of_o such_o work_n as_o seem_v good_a unto_o themselves_o think_v by_o they_o to_o come_v unto_o heaven_n of_o who_o christ_n say_v enter_v in_o at_o the_o straight_a gate_n for_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o many_o seek_v to_o enter_v in_o at_o it_o &_o can_v not_o why_o be_v this_o because_o they_o know_v not_o what_o this_o narrow_a gate_n be_v for_o it_o be_v faith_n which_o do_v altogether_o annihilate_v or_o make_v a_o man_n nothing_o in_o his_o own_o eye_n &_o require_v that_o he_o put_v no_o trust_n in_o any_o of_o his_o own_o work_n but_o that_o he_o lean_v only_o to_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n &_o be_v prepare_v for_o it_o to_o leave_v &_o suffer_v all_o thing_n but_o those_o holy_a one_o of_o cain_n brood_n think_v their_o good_a work_n to_o be_v the_o narrow_a gate_n &_o be_v not_o therefore_o extenuate_v or_o make_v less_o whereby_o they_o may_v enter_v they_o do_v not_o leave_v confidence_n in_o their_o work_n but_o gather_v they_o together_o in_o great_a cowl_n they_o hang_v they_o about_o they_o and_o so_o go_v about_o to_o enter_v in_o be_v burden_v and_o as_o it_o be_v swell_v big_a which_o be_v as_o possible_a for_o they_o as_o for_o a_o camel_n with_o his_o bounched_a back_n to_o go_v through_o the_o eye_n of_o a_o needle_n when_o thou_o shall_v begin_v to_o preach_v unto_o these_o of_o faith_n they_o laugh_v and_o hiss_v at_o thou_o do_v thou_o count_v we_o say_v they_o for_o turk_n and_o heathen_a who_o it_o behove_v now_o first_o to_o learn_v faith_n be_v there_o such_o a_o company_n of_o priest_n monk_n and_o nun_n &_o be_v not_o faith_n know_v who_o know_v not_o what_o he_o ought_v to_o believe_v even_o manifest_a sinner_n know_v that_o and_o be_v after_o this_o sort_n animate_v and_o stir_v up_o they_o think_v that_o they_o be_v abundant_o endue_v with_o faith_n and_o that_o the_o rest_n be_v now_o to_o be_v finish_v &_o make_v perfect_a by_o work_n whereupon_o they_o make_v too_o small_a &_o slender_a account_n of_o faith_n as_o i_o have_v say_v because_o they_o be_v ignorant_a both_o what_o faith_n be_v &_o that_o it_o alone_o do_v justify_v they_o call_v it_o faith_n when_o they_o believe_v those_o thing_n which_o they_o have_v hear_v of_o christ_n which_o kind_n of_o faith_n the_o devil_n also_o have_v &_o yet_o be_v nothing_o therefore_o justify_v but_o this_o deserve_v to_o be_v call_v rather_o a_o opinion_n of_o man_n than_o faith_n for_o as_o we_o do_v oftentimes_o admonish_v it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a that_o thou_o may_v worthy_o be_v call_v a_o christian_a to_o believe_v those_o thing_n to_o be_v true_a which_o be_v preach_v of_o christ_n which_o kind_n of_o faith_n they_o of_o cain_n brood_n also_o have_v faith_n a_o true_a faith_n but_o thou_o must_v also_o nothing_o doubt_n that_o thou_o be_v of_o the_o number_n of_o they_o unto_o who_o all_o those_o benefit_n of_o christ_n be_v give_v &_o exhibit_v which_o he_o that_o believe_v must_v plain_o confess_v that_o he_o be_v holy_a godly_a righteous_a the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o certain_a of_o salvation_n &_o that_o by_o no_o merit_n of_o his_o own_o but_o by_o the_o only_a mercy_n of_o god_n pour_v forth_o upon_o he_o for_o christ_n sake_n which_o he_o beleeeve_v to_o be_v so_o rich_a and_o plentiful_a as_o it_o be_v in_o deed_n that_o although_o he_o be_v as_o it_o be_v drown_v in_o sin_n he_o be_v notwithstanding_o thereby_o make_v holy_a &_o the_o son_n of_o god_n whereof_o if_o he_o shall_v any_o thing_n doubt_n he_o shall_v procure_v exceed_v ignominy_n &_o reproach_n to_o baptism_n which_o he_o have_v receive_v &_o to_o the_o lords_z supper_n &_o also_o reprove_v the_o word_n &_o grace_n of_o god_n of_o falsehood_n wherefore_o take_v heed_n that_o thou_o nothing_o doubt_v that_o thou_o
that_o his_o kingdom_n be_v set_v in_o the_o mid_n of_o the_o fight_n yea_o and_o in_o the_o mid_n of_o the_o hater_n thereof_o these_o thing_n be_v write_v for_o our_o comfort_n that_o we_o which_o mind_n to_o serve_v under_o the_o prince_n of_o this_o kingdom_n be_v so_o instruct_v that_o we_o look_v for_o no_o other_o than_o be_v here_o prescribe_v and_o set_v forth_o unto_o we_o world_n the_o godly_a must_v look_v for_o no_o peace_n or_o quietness_n in_o the_o world_n that_o we_o seek_v not_o here_o to_o get_v unto_o we_o the_o favour_n of_o the_o world_n neither_o that_o we_o serve_v the_o world_n and_o labour_n to_o have_v no_o enemy_n therein_o for_o the_o word_n of_o zacharias_n declare_v that_o it_o be_v the_o quality_n of_o this_o kingdom_n to_o deliver_v from_o enemy_n now_o if_o it_o deliver_v we_o from_o enemy_n and_o as_o it_o be_v draw_v we_o out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o they_o that_o hate_v we_o sure_o it_o can_v not_o be_v a_o kingdom_n of_o peace_n but_o such_o a_o kingdom_n as_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o hatred_n and_o malice_n of_o the_o world_n as_o you_o see_v at_o this_o day_n that_o our_o enemy_n bear_v a_o deadly_a hatred_n unto_o the_o light_n which_o have_v a_o little_a shine_v forth_o thanks_n be_v to_o christ_n therefore_o no_o man_n be_v any_o where_o so_o hate_v as_o a_o christian_a both_o the_o pope_n and_o the_o furious_a bishop_n with_o their_o false_a apostle_n also_o the_o rage_a prince_n moreover_o the_o holy_a learned_a and_o wise_a of_o the_o world_n all_o at_o this_o day_n do_v most_o bitter_o hate_v christian_n neither_o be_v they_o content_a that_o they_o be_v kill_v &_o slay_v but_o they_o will_v have_v they_o extinguish_v and_o utter_o root_v out_o that_o there_o may_v be_v no_o memory_n of_o they_o as_o they_o think_v leave_v among_o man_n and_o this_o be_v the_o state_n these_o be_v the_o badge_n and_o cognisance_n of_o christian_n that_o when_o satan_n by_o his_o minister_n persecute_v we_o he_o think_v quite_o to_o root_v we_o out_o this_o verse_n also_o give_v we_o to_o understand_v that_o christ_n be_v our_o king_n that_o he_o may_v save_v and_o deliver_v we_o out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o our_o enemy_n which_o he_o notable_o perform_v and_o show_v his_o power_n in_o the_o mid_n of_o the_o world_n in_o the_o mid_n of_o the_o force_n of_o flesh_n and_o satan_n when_o as_o peace_n and_o quietness_n be_v not_o where_o leave_v to_o a_o christian_a but_o in_o his_o christ_n alone_o this_o also_o we_o must_v mark_v that_o there_o be_v not_o one_o but_o many_o which_o assail_v &_o persecute_v christian_n but_o yet_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o therefore_o be_v destroy_v forasmuch_o as_o we_o have_v one_o which_o be_v strong_a both_o than_o the_o world_n and_o the_o prince_n thereof_o as_o john_n say_v now_o whereas_o he_o promise_v we_o we_o know_v certain_o that_o he_o both_o will_v and_o be_v able_a to_o perform_v we_o shall_v in_o deed_n feel_v the_o assault_n but_o he_o will_v be_v the_o manner_n of_o the_o apostle_n also_o that_o they_o often_o time_n have_v recourse_n to_o the_o old_a testament_n as_o i_o have_v say_v before_o that_o god_n speak_v and_o promise_v by_o the_o mouth_n of_o the_o prophet_n etc._n etc._n even_o as_o zacharias_n do_v in_o this_o place_n objection_n a_o objection_n some_o man_n may_v now_o say_v they_o be_v dead_a how_o therefore_o will_v he_o show_v mercy_n unto_o they_o again_o what_o need_n be_v there_o to_o rehearse_v that_o he_o will_v show_v mercy_n to_o the_o father_n when_o as_o it_o be_v declare_v in_o the_o prophet_n but_o of_o every_o one_o may_v be_v stop_v that_o he_o that_o will_v glory_n may_v glory_v in_o the_o lord._n for_o thus_o the_o lord_n may_v say_v that_o thou_o live_v in_o my_o kingdom_n that_o thou_o in_o outward_a appearance_n let_v they_o even_o raise_v the_o dead_a if_o faith_n in_o christ_n be_v absent_a whereof_o we_o have_v now_o speak_v so_o much_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v to_o no_o purpose_n these_o most_o false_a show_n do_v as_o yet_o deceive_v the_o whole_a world_n and_o seduce_v almost_o every_o one_o they_o make_v the_o gospel_n obscure_a and_o extinguish_v the_o faith_n of_o christ_n all_o their_o work_n and_o order_n although_o they_o appear_v goodly_a and_o they_o think_v they_o to_o have_v merit_v never_o so_o much_o do_v avail_v no_o more_o unto_o salvation_n at_o the_o last_o be_v drive_v to_o despeire_n of_o himself_o if_o so_o be_v that_o one_o be_v once_o after_o this_o sort_n compel_v then_o do_v not_o long_o delay_v to_o let_v he_o come_v in_o but_o so_o before_o man_n as_o it_o seem_v good_a to_o their_o obscure_a opinion_n but_o if_o god_n be_v of_o that_o opinion_n he_o may_v then_o have_v well_o keep_v still_o christ_n and_o the_o gospel_n only_o and_o thereby_o they_o do_v altogether_o hinder_v the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n and_o strive_v against_o faith_n and_o grace_n whereunto_o if_o they_o be_v not_o blind_a the_o law_n will_v direct_v and_o drive_v they_o and_o so_o they_o continue_v always_o a_o blind_a blockish_a and_o miserable_a people_n these_o thing_n paul_n teach_v rom._n 3_o and_o 7._o and_o do_v free_o pronounce_v that_o no_o man_n be_v justify_v before_o god_n by_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n law_n no_o man_n be_v justify_v by_o the_o law_n add_v no_o other_o cause_n hereof_o than_o this_o for_o that_o the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n only_o come_v by_o the_o law_n if_o thou_o will_v know_v how_o this_o come_v to_o pass_v consider_v well_o some_o one_o of_o cain_n brood_n and_o thou_o shall_v by_o and_o by_o see_v it_o verify_v first_o he_o work_v his_o work_n according_a to_o the_o law_n with_o great_a grief_n and_o labour_n and_o yet_o he_o therewith_o confess_v that_o he_o be_v uncertain_a whether_o he_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o holy_a yea_o he_o condemn_v and_o curse_v this_o faith_n as_o the_o most_o pernicious_a arrogancy_n and_o error_n of_o all_o other_o and_o will_v continue_v in_o his_o dout_n until_o he_o be_v make_v certain_a by_o his_o work_n here_o thou_o see_v plain_o that_o such_o a_o man_n be_v not_o good_a or_o righteous_a see_v that_o he_o want_v this_o faith_n and_o belief_n that_o he_o be_v count_v acceptable_a before_o god_n and_o his_o son_n yea_o he_o be_v a_o enemy_n of_o this_o faith_n and_o therefore_o of_o righteousness_n also_o wherefore_o neither_o can_v his_o work_n be_v count_v good_a although_o they_o pretend_v a_o fair_a show_n of_o fulfil_v the_o law_n and_o thus_o be_v it_o easy_a to_o understand_v that_o which_o paul_n say_v that_o no_o man_n be_v justify_v before_o god_n by_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n for_o the_o worker_n must_v be_v justify_v before_o god_n before_o he_o work_v any_o good_a thing_n although_o before_o man_n which_o esteem_v a_o man_n by_o outward_a thing_n and_o not_o by_o the_o mind_n they_o be_v count_v righteous_a which_o apply_v themselves_o to_o the_o do_v of_o good_a work_n for_o man_n judge_v the_o worker_n by_o the_o work_n god_n judge_v the_o work_n by_o the_o worker_n now_o the_o first_o precept_n require_v that_o we_o acknowledge_v &_o worship_v one_o god_n that_o be_v that_o we_o trust_v and_o rest_n in_o he_o alone_o which_o in_o deed_n be_v the_o true_a faith_n whereby_o we_o become_v the_o son_n of_o god_n but_o how_o easy_a be_v it_o by_o this_o precept_n to_o know_v that_o sin_n be_v both_o in_o he_o of_o cain_n brood_n &_o in_o thyself_o inasmuch_o as_o both_o of_o you_o want_v such_o a_o faith_n even_o by_o your_o own_o nature_n which_o thou_o can_v not_o know_v but_o by_o mean_n of_o this_o law_n and_o this_o be_v that_o which_o paul_n mean_v when_o he_o say_v that_o by_o the_o law_n come_v the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n 3.20_o rom._n 3.20_o now_o thou_o can_v be_v deliver_v from_o this_o evil_n of_o infidelity_n neither_o by_o thy_o own_o power_n nor_o by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o law_n wherefore_o all_o thy_o work_n whereby_o thou_o go_v about_o to_o satisfy_v the_o law_n can_v be_v nothing_o but_o work_n of_o the_o law_n of_o far_o less_o importance_n then_o that_o they_o be_v able_a to_o justify_v thou_o before_o god_n who_o count_v they_o only_o righteous_a which_o true_o believe_v in_o he_o for_o they_o only_o acknowledge_v he_o the_o true_a god_n be_v his_o son_n and_o do_v true_o fulfil_v the_o law_n but_o if_o thou_o shall_v even_o kill_v thyself_o with_o work_n yet_o be_v it_o so_o far_o of_o that_o thy_o hart_n can_v obtain_v this_o faith_n thereby_o that_o thy_o work_n be_v even_o a_o hindrance_n that_o thou_o can_v not_o know_v it_o yea_o they_o be_v a_o cause_n that_o thou_o do_v persecute_v it_o hereupon_o it_o be_v that_o he_o that_o study_v to_o fulfil_v the_o law_n without_o faith_n be_v afflict_v for_o the_o devil_n sake_n and_o not_o for_o god_n sake_n and_o continue_v a_o persecutor_n both_o of_o faith_n and_o of_o the_o law_n until_o he_o come_v to_o himself_o and_o do_v plain_o cease_v to_o trust_v in_o himself_o and_o in_o his_o own_o work_n do_v give_v this_o glory_n unto_o god_n who_o justifi_v the_o ungodly_a acknowledge_v himself_o to_o be_v nothing_o and_o figh_v for_o god_n his_o grace_n whereof_o he_o do_v now_o know_v be_v teach_v by_o the_o law_n that_o he_o have_v need_n then_o faith_n and_o grace_n come_v and_o fill_v he_o be_v empty_a satisfy_v he_o be_v hungry_a by_o and_o by_o follow_v good_a work_n which_o be_v true_o good_a neither_o be_v they_o now_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n but_o of_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n and_o grace_n and_o they_o be_v call_v in_o the_o scripture_n the_o work_n of_o god_n which_o he_o work_v in_o us._n for_o whatsoever_o we_o do_v of_o our_o own_o power_n &_o strength_n evil_a all_o that_o we_o do_v of_o ourselves_o be_v not_o assist_v by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n be_v evil_a and_o be_v not_o wrought_v in_o we_o by_o his_o grace_n without_o doubt_n it_o be_v a_o work_n of_o the_o law_n and_o avail_v nothing_o to_o justification_n but_o be_v both_o evil_a and_o hate_a of_o god_n because_o of_o the_o infidelity_n wherein_o it_o be_v do_v again_o whatsoever_o he_o of_o cain_n brood_n work_v he_o do_v nothing_o that_o they_o do_v rather_o hate_v the_o law_n from_o their_o hart_n and_o have_v lever_n that_o there_o be_v no_o law_n at_o all_o wherefore_o it_o be_v plain_o manifest_a that_o they_o be_v not_o good_a and_o consequent_o that_o neither_o their_o work_n be_v good_a for_o how_o shall_v evil_a man_n work_v good_a work_n moreover_o those_o their_o work_n which_o in_o appearance_n &_o show_n seem_v to_o be_v good_a be_v either_o wrest_v from_o they_o by_o fear_n or_o be_v buy_v with_o promise_n a_o evil_a hart_n can_v do_v nothing_o that_o be_v good_a but_o this_o naughtiness_n of_o the_o hart_n &_o unwillingnes_n to_o do_v good_a the_o law_n bewray_v when_o it_o teach_v that_o god_n do_v not_o great_o esteem_v what_o the_o hand_n do_v but_o what_o the_o hart_n do_v which_o see_v it_o hate_v the_o law_n that_o be_v good_a who_o will_v deny_v it_o to_o be_v most_o evil_a sure_o it_o
this_o knowledge_n of_o themselves_o which_o he_o law_n bring_v bring_v even_o unto_o nothing_o in_o their_o own_o eye_n then_o by_o and_o by_o come_v the_o gospel_n and_o lift_v they_o up_o be_v humble_v whereby_o the_o lord_n give_v his_o grace_n unto_o they_o thus_o cast_v down_o themselves_o and_o endu_v they_o with_o faith_n hereby_o they_o receive_v that_o covenant_n of_o the_o eternal_a blessing_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o renu_v their_o hart_n that_o now_o it_o be_v delight_v with_o the_o law_n hate_v sin_n and_o be_v willing_a and_o ready_a to_o do_v those_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a â–ª_o and_o here_o now_o thou_o may_v see_v not_o the_o work_n but_o the_o hart_n of_o the_o law_n and_o this_o be_v the_o very_a time_n appoint_v to_o the_o heir_n of_o the_o father_n when_o he_o must_v be_v no_o long_o a_o servant_n but_o a_o son_n and_o do_v now_o begin_v to_o be_v lead_v by_o a_o free_a spirit_n be_v no_o more_o keep_v in_o subjection_n under_o tuter_n and_o governor_n after_o the_o manner_n of_o a_o servant_n which_o be_v even_o that_o that_o paul_n teach_v in_o the_o word_n follow_v verse_n 3._o even_o so_o we_o when_o we_o be_v child_n be_v in_o bondage_n under_o the_o rudiment_n of_o the_o world_n rudiment_n what_o be_v to_o be_v understand_v by_o this_o word_n rudiment_n by_o the_o word_n rudiment_n thou_o may_v understand_v here_o the_o first_o principle_n or_o law_n write_v which_o be_v as_o it_o be_v the_o first_o exercise_n and_o instruction_n of_o holy_a erudition_n whereof_o it_o be_v speak_v also_o heb._n 5_z as_o concern_v the_o time_n you_o ought_v to_o be_v teacher_n yet_o have_v you_o need_v again_o that_o we_o teach_v you_o what_o be_v the_o first_o principle_n or_o rudiment_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o colos_n 2_o beware_v lest_o there_o be_v any_o that_o spoil_v you_o through_o philosophy_n and_o vain_a deceit_n through_o the_o tradition_n of_o man_n according_a to_o the_o rudiment_n of_o the_o world_n again_o gal._n 4._o how_o turn_v you_o again_o unto_o impotent_a &_o beggarly_a rudiment_n whereunto_o as_o from_o the_o beginning_n you_o will_v be_v in_o bondage_n again_o you_o observe_v day_n &_o month_n etc._n etc._n here_o as_o it_o be_v in_o contempt_n he_o call_v the_o law_n rudiment_n he_o add_v also_o why_o the_o law_n call_v beggarly_a rudiment_n and_o why_o impotent_a &_o beggarly_a both_o because_o it_o be_v not_o able_a to_o perform_v that_o righteousness_n which_o it_o require_v and_o also_o for_o that_o it_o make_v man_n in_o deed_n poor_a &_o impotent_a for_o whereas_o it_o earnest_o require_v a_o hart_n and_o mind_n give_v to_o godliness_n and_o nature_n be_v not_o able_a to_o satisfy_v it_o herein_o it_o plain_o make_v man_n to_o feel_v his_o poverty_n and_o to_o acknowledge_v his_o infirmity_n that_o that_o be_v by_o right_n require_v of_o he_o which_o he_o not_o only_o have_v not_o but_o also_o be_v not_o able_a to_o have_v â–ª_o hereunto_o pertain_v that_o which_o paul_n have_v leave_v write_v 2._o cor._n 3_o the_o letter_n kill_v but_o the_o spirit_n give_v life_n moreover_o paul_n call_v they_o the_o rudiment_n of_o the_o world_n ordinance_n and_o way_n to_o go_v to_o heaven_n against_o these_o paul_n speak_v colos_n 2_o wherefore_o if_o you_o be_v dead_a with_o christ_n from_o the_o rudiment_n of_o the_o world_n why_o as_o though_o you_o live_v in_o the_o world_n be_v you_o burden_v with_o tradition_n as_o touch_v not_o taste_v not_o handle_v not_o which_o all_o perish_v with_o the_o use_n and_o be_v after_o the_o state_n of_o spiritual_a man_n as_o we_o call_v they_o do_v plain_o disagree_v with_o the_o gospel_n and_o christian_a liberty_n and_o that_o therefore_o it_o be_v much_o more_o dangerous_a to_o live_v in_o these_o kind_n of_o life_n then_o among_o most_o profane_a man_n for_o all_o their_o thing_n be_v nothing_o but_o rudiment_n &_o ordinance_n of_o the_o world_n consist_v in_o the_o difference_n and_o use_n of_o apparel_n place_n time_n and_o other_o present_a thing_n whereunto_o see_v they_o be_v so_o addict_v that_o they_o hope_v by_o they_o to_o attain_v righteousness_n &_o salvation_n faith_n be_v make_v no_o account_n of_o amongst_o they_o neither_o be_v they_o christian_n but_o in_o name_n wherefore_o all_o their_o life_n and_o holiness_n be_v mere_a sin_n and_o most_o detestable_a hypocrisy_n themselves_o they_o that_o be_v under_o the_o rudiment_n of_o the_o world_n ought_v most_o diligent_o to_o look_v to_o themselves_o it_o be_v needful_a therefore_o that_o they_o that_o be_v occupy_v in_o such_o ordinance_n shall_v above_o all_o other_o man_n most_o diligent_o look_v unto_o themselves_o that_o they_o trust_v not_o to_o these_o ordinance_n that_o they_o be_v not_o too_o much_o addict_v unto_o they_o but_o that_o they_o do_v persevere_v in_o a_o free_a faith_n which_o be_v tie_v to_o none_o of_o those_o outward_a thing_n but_o rest_v in_o the_o â–ª_o we_o be_v in_o bondage_n under_o the_o rudiment_n of_o the_o world_n that_o be_v when_o we_o be_v as_o yet_o ignorant_a of_o faith_n and_o be_v exercise_v only_o with_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n we_o do_v those_o outward_a work_n of_o the_o law_n consist_v in_o worldly_a thing_n but_o with_o a_o unwilling_a mind_n and_o with_o no_o faith_n hope_v that_o by_o these_o rudiment_n of_o the_o world_n we_o shall_v obtain_v salvation_n wherefore_o we_o be_v no_o other_o than_o servant_n now_o this_o false_a and_o servile_a opinion_n faith_n alone_o take_v away_o and_o teach_v we_o to_o trust_v unto_o and_o rest_n upon_o the_o only_a grace_n of_o god_n whereby_o at_o once_o be_v give_v free_o that_o which_o be_v needful_a to_o work_v all_o thing_n for_o these_o work_n of_o the_o law_n if_o that_o false_a opinion_n be_v away_o be_v not_o ill_o
be_v not_o want_v for_o before_o we_o shall_v want_v the_o very_a angel_n shall_v come_v &_o minister_v unto_o we_o food_n whereas_o therefore_o man_n be_v common_o oppress_v with_o so_o great_a
