they_o as_o captain_n of_o their_o enemy_n band_n and_o put_v unto_o vile_a shame_n and_o reproach_n four_o it_o be_v add_v god_n himself_o shall_v go_v before_o as_o the_o captain_n of_o the_o enemy_n band_n as_o abd._n cap._n 1._o namely_o that_o both_o the_o israelite_n and_o also_o other_o man_n may_v understand_v that_o these_o thing_n come_v to_o pass_v worthy_o for_o their_o sin_n and_o that_o they_o be_v the_o vengeance_n of_o god_n just_o angry_a against_o they_o from_o the_o which_o they_o can_v now_o deliver_v themselves_o when_o as_o god_n favour_v their_o enemy_n and_o be_v most_o mighty_a both_o in_o number_n of_o man_n and_o also_o in_o strength_n of_o army_n verse_n 3._o a_o sire_n devour_v before_o he_o and_o behind_o he_o a_o flame_n burn_v up_o the_o land_n be_v as_o the_o garden_n of_o eden_n before_o he_o and_o behind_o he_o a_o desolate_a wilderness_n so_o that_o nothing_o shall_v escape_v he_o for_o 2._o by_o the_o effect_n unlooked_v for_o second_o he_o describe_v the_o say_a enemy_n and_o chaldee_n by_o the_o effect_n and_o those_o unlooked_a for_o but_o yet_o such_o as_o shall_v be_v unto_o the_o jew_n most_o sorrowful_a and_o inevitable_a or_o unescapeable_a because_o that_o the_o jew_n shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o withstand_v so_o great_a strength_n for_o god_n do_v in_o such_o sort_n arm_v those_o who_o he_o will_v have_v to_o be_v that_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o be_v overcomen_v but_o will_v leave_v and_o scatter_v abroad_o their_o fear_n in_o every_o place_n where_o they_o shall_v come_v wherefore_o in_o this_o place_n also_o there_o be_v a_o similitude_n take_v from_o fire_n the_o which_o like_v as_o it_o burn_v up_o all_o thing_n which_o come_v in_o the_o way_n of_o it_o so_o also_o shall_v the_o people_n of_o the_o chaldee_n like_v unto_o a_o fire_n and_o flame_n that_o be_v like_o a_o burn_a and_o most_o flame_a fire_n devour_v and_o consume_v the_o enemy_n which_o shall_v stand_v against_o they_o yea_o and_o that_o in_o such_o sort_n that_o the_o country_n the_o which_o before_o be_v most_o flourish_a as_o the_o land_n of_o judah_n then_o be_v shall_v afterward_o become_v most_o desolate_a or_o waste_a when_o as_o they_o shall_v have_v enter_v and_o range_v in_o it_o and_o to_o be_v short_a none_o of_o they_o shall_v escape_v their_o hand_n so_o diligent_a shall_v they_o be_v in_o search_v out_o their_o enemy_n further_o in_o this_o place_n every_o flourish_a country_n be_v understand_v by_o the_o name_n of_o eden_n as_o it_o be_v also_o often_o in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n
