see_v and_o hear_v the_o many_o though_o scarce_o divers_a petition_n to_o this_o honourable_a assembly_n by_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o divers_a county_n and_o city_n of_o this_o land_n as_o also_o corporation_n company_n and_o trade_n some_o against_o bishop_n some_o against_o the_o common_a prayer_n and_o all_o against_o such_o judicial_a and_o thing_n super-elementary_a to_o the_o region_n of_o their_o capacity_n of_o judge_v and_o matter_n only_o belong_v to_o the_o judicature_n of_o this_o grave_a synod_n which_o seem_v either_o to_o distrust_v or_o direct_v or_o both_o your_o great_a wisdom_n we_o therefore_o the_o gentleman_n and_o other_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o cornwall_n with_o as_o many_o heart_n though_o not_o hand_n with_o as_o many_o good_a will_n though_o not_o person_n not_o in_o imitation_n but_o rather_o by_o provocation_n and_o necessity_n in_o these_o time_n to_o show_v our_o good_a mind_a affection_n do_v humble_o prostrate_v the_o utmost_a of_o our_o service_n to_o your_o foot_n in_o which_o or_o rather_o after_o which_o we_o take_v leave_v humble_o to_o beg_v that_o you_o will_v be_v please_v to_o bend_v your_o auxiliary_a and_o good_a affection_n to_o the_o redress_n of_o the_o distress_n of_o the_o miserable_a protestant_n in_o ireland_n to_o gain_v who_o good_a prosperity_n peace_n and_o tranquillity_n to_o preserve_v the_o sovereignty_n of_o that_o land_n to_o our_o royal_a king_n and_o to_o maintain_v he_o and_o this_o kingdom_n honour_n we_o shall_v willing_o lay_v down_o our_o life_n and_o fortune_n that_o you_o will_v be_v please_v in_o high_a account_n and_o eternize_v as_o far_o as_o in_o you_o lie_v the_o divine_a and_o excellent_a form_n of_o commonprayer_n to_o correct_v brain-forged_a doctrine_n by_o your_o exemplary_a precept_n strike_v a_o reverence_n of_o god_n house_n into_o every_o man_n breast_n that_o you_o will_v be_v please_v to_o intimate_v to_o the_o people_n your_o honourable_a and_o wise_a intention_n concerning_o divine_a service_n lest_o while_o you_o hold_v your_o peace_n some_o reject_v it_o in_o part_n other_o altogether_o they_o vain_o conceive_v you_o countenance_v they_o last_o not_o to_o trouble_v your_o great_a affair_n any_o long_o that_o you_o will_v be_v please_v to_o take_v into_o your_o sage_a consideration_n those_o scandalous_a and_o ill-affected_a pamphlet_n which_o fly_v abroad_o in_o such_o swarm_n as_o be_v able_a to_o cloud_v the_o pure_a air_n of_o truth_n and_o present_v a_o dark_a ignorance_n to_o those_o who_o have_v not_o the_o two_o wing_n of_o justice_n and_o knowledge_n to_o fly_v above_o they_o now_o to_o polish_v this_o our_o work_n with_o a_o smooth_a demonstration_n of_o our_o modest_a intent_n that_o the_o tincture_n which_o in_o introduction_n fall_v on_o the_o fore-mentioned_a present_n may_v slide_v without_o a_o stain_n from_o this_o we_o do_v in_o all_o humility_n declare_v that_o neither_o distrust_n of_o your_o intention_n nor_o opinion_n of_o any_o of_o our_o counsel_n worthy_a your_o ear_n ever_o taint_v our_o thought_n but_o that_o we_o have_v still_o be_v and_o be_v confident_a that_o this_o most_o wise_a synod_n have_v ever_o think_v fit_a resolve_v and_o will_v confirm_v into_o action_n what_o we_o now_o humble_o request_v therefore_o this_o our_o present_n not_o so_o much_o a_o petition_n as_o a_o prayer_n of_o willing_a and_o thankful_a heart_n for_o the_o hope_a sequel_n be_v only_o to_o show_v our_o true_a intention_n and_o good_a will_n towards_o his_o gracious_a majesty_n and_o this_o high_a court_n as_o instrument_n of_o the_o peace_n of_o our_o soul_n and_o body_n for_o which_o we_o be_v unanimous_o and_o immutable_o resolve_v to_o spend_v our_o dear_a blood_n publish_a by_o i.b._n gent._n
