they_o first_o spring_v up_o before_o they_o have_v falsify_v the_o rule_n of_o the_o ancient_a faith_n while_o they_o be_v hinder_v by_o straitness_n of_o time_n and_o before_o the_o poison_n spread_v abroad_o they_o have_v endeavour_v to_o corrupt_v the_o write_n of_o the_o father_n so_o that_o heretic_n have_v inclination_n enough_o where_o they_o be_v not_o hinder_v by_o straitness_n of_o time_n to_o corrupt_v the_o most_o ancient_a write_n of_o the_o church_n for_o which_o cause_n he_o further_o say_v in_o the_o same_o place_n but_o heresy_n that_o ibid._n be_v spread_v abroad_o and_o waxen_a old_a must_v not_o be_v set_v upon_o in_o this_o sort_n because_o by_o long_a continuance_n they_o have_v have_v opportunity_n to_o steal_v away_o the_o truth_n whatsoever_o 〈◊〉_d ness_v that_o have_v get_v possession_n of_o book_n and_o library_n it_o may_v falsisie_v the_o rule_n of_o the_o ancient_a faith_n and_o steal_v away_o the_o truth_n by_o corrupt_v the_o write_n of_o the_o father_n in_o which_o case_n he_o will_v not_o have_v the_o controversy_n decide_v by_o the_o father_n but_o by_o the_o scripture_n only_o or_o by_o old_a universal_a council_n but_o if_o error_n proceed_v so_o far_o as_o to_o corrupt_v the_o council_n too_o then_o of_o necessity_n we_o must_v have_v recourse_n to_o some_o other_o remedy_n either_o to_o the_o scripture_n alone_o as_o he_o direct_v or_o else_o we_o must_v detect_v the_o fraud_n whereby_o the_o council_n themselves_o be_v falsify_v for_o that_o they_o be_v liable_a to_o the_o same_o inconvenience_n be_v evident_a both_o by_o the_o paveity_n of_o ancient_a record_n and_o the_o many_o revolution_n that_o have_v be_v in_o the_o world_n especial_o since_o nature_n teach_v man_n to_o strike_v at_o the_o root_n attempt_n be_v more_o apt_a to_o be_v make_v upon_o they_o because_o heretic_n be_v prone_a to_o be_v most_o busy_a in_o undermine_v the_o foundation_n that_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o man_n so_o far_o to_o act_v against_o their_o conscience_n as_o to_o corrupt_v the_o ancient_a record_n of_o truth_n you_o see_v by_o the_o premise_n and_o that_o it_o be_v a_o easy_a thing_n for_o they_o to_o effect_v it_o that_o have_v get_v all_o kind_n of_o book_n and_o library_n into_o their_o hand_n be_v apparent_a because_o they_o that_o keep_v
