blunt_a clamorous_a answer_n that_o they_o conceive_v the_o true_a reason_n of_o it_o be_v that_o their_o officer_n intend_v to_o have_v the_o tithe_n themselves_o or_o at_o least_o the_o full_a value_n of_o they_o in_o tax_n for_o their_o pay_n that_o so_o the_o people_n much_o impoverish_v and_o complain_v of_o their_o heavy_a tax_n may_v be_v able_a to_o hold_v out_o the_o long_a to_o pay_v they_o be_v seem_o ease_v by_o the_o soldier_n in_o their_o tithe_n though_o they_o take_v they_o all_o out_o again_o in_o their_o increase_a monthly_a contribution_n and_o that_o this_o be_v the_o private_a talk_n and_o opinion_n they_o have_v of_o this_o petition_n among_o themselves_o but_o they_o must_v not_o speak_v of_o it_o in_o public_a to_o any_o i_o be_o not_o apt_a to_o be_v suspicious_a of_o any_o man_n action_n or_o design_n unless_o i_o see_v some_o probable_a ground_n of_o inducement_n but_o if_o this_o be_v one_o principal_a design_n of_o the_o officer_n and_o soldier_n present_v stickle_v against_o minister_n tithe_n to_o get_v they_o into_o their_o own_o hand_n in_o kind_n as_o they_o have_v do_v much_o of_o the_o bishop_n dean_n chapter_n and_o crown-land_n &_o the_o rest_n in_o money_n in_o their_o sales_n for_o their_o arrear_n &_o pay_n or_o at_o least_o to_o fetch_v they_o out_o of_o the_o people_n purse_n in_o double_a or_o augment_v tax_n equivalent_a to_o their_o tithe_n in_o value_n or_o exceed_v they_o as_o the_o premise_n persuade_v i_o to_o incline_v to_o the_o ease_n and_o gain_n either_o promise_v to_o or_o expect_v by_o the_o people_n upon_o the_o abolish_n of_o tithe_n will_v prove_v but_o a_o mere_a delusion_n and_o cheat_n at_o last_o and_o instead_o of_o ease_v they_o will_v only_o double_v treble_a and_o augment_v their_o heavy_a intolerable_a tax_n now_o impose_v and_o dispose_v too_o by_o the_o soldier_n themselves_o alone_o beyond_o all_o precedent_n of_o former_a age_n or_o king_n of_o the_o worst_a edition_n and_o continue_v they_o the_o long_o on_o their_o break_a estate_n and_o drain_v purse_n which_o will_v be_v but_o a_o most_o just_a deserve_v divine_a punishment_n on_o they_o for_o detain_v their_o minister_n tithe_n as_o the_o forecited_a author_n resolve_v whereas_o if_o these_o saint-seeming_a officer_n and_o soldier_n so_o much_o pretend_v the_o people_n ease_n and_o weal_n will_v cast_v off_o the_o veil_n of_o dissimulation_n and_o real_o ease_v the_o people_n in_o good_a earnest_n out_o of_o conscience_n and_o justice_n they_o shall_v do_v it_o as_o i_o tell_v they_o
