we_o on_o the_o other_o side_n ought_v instant_o to_o entreat_v he_o to_o accomplish_v that_o which_o he_o have_v promise_v for_o he_o give_v we_o not_o comfort_v to_o nourish_v we_o in_o idleness_n but_o the_o more_o to_o inflame_v we_o with_o a_o great_a affection_n of_o prayer_n and_o to_o a_o daily_o exercise_v of_o our_o faith_n now_o the_o prophet_n speak_v here_o according_a to_o our_o understanding_n for_o we_o think_v that_o god_n sleep_v as_o long_o as_o he_o defer_v to_o relieve_v our_o misery_n and_o yet_o the_o lord_n bear_v with_o we_o thus_o far_o that_o he_o suffer_v we_o to_o pray_v with_o such_o word_n as_o savour_n somewhat_o of_o the_o infirmity_n of_o our_o nature_n the_o faithful_a then_o pray_v that_o god_n will_v arise_v or_o awake_v not_o as_o if_o he_o be_v idle_a or_o asleep_a in_o heaven_n but_o they_o rather_o acknowledge_v therein_o their_o own_o dulness_n or_o slothfulness_n in_o regard_n they_o can_v conceive_v aught_o else_o of_o god_n as_o long_o as_o he_o defer_v to_o help_v they_o notwithstanding_o howsoever_o the_o flesh_n imagine_v that_o he_o sleep_v and_o neglect_v our_o misery_n yet_o faith_n look_v high_a and_o apprehend_v his_o infinite_a power_n the_o scripture_n therefore_o be_v wont_a to_o say_v etc._n in_o what_o sense_n god_n be_v say_v to_o wake_v etc._n etc._n that_o god_n awake_v and_o put_v on_o strength_n when_o ago_o for_o we_o must_v extend_v our_o thought_n even_o to_o the_o most_o ancient_a generation_n that_o we_o may_v overcome_v those_o temptation_n which_o otherwise_o will_v seem_v to_o overwhelm_v us._n the_o prophet_n do_v here_o then_o gather_v together_o in_o one_o all_o the_o testimony_n of_o god_n favour_n which_o he_o have_v from_o time_n to_o time_n manifest_v to_o his_o people_n that_o if_o two_o or_o three_o be_v not_o sufficient_a yet_o at_o least_o the_o great_a number_n of_o they_o may_v whole_o confirm_v the_o faith_n of_o the_o elect_a now_o because_o it_o be_v too_o tedious_a to_o draw_v a_o long_a catalogue_n of_o all_o he_o name_v this_o first_o and_o excellent_a miracle_n among_o the_o rest_n namely_o the_o wonderful_a deliverance_n of_o the_o people_n out_o of_o
