reason_n why_o he_o shall_v 〈◊〉_d 3._o how_o then_o can_v a_o man_n be_v liable_a to_o heretical_a obstinacy_n because_o he_o only_o refuse_v to_o believe_v when_o he_o see_v no_o reason_n to_o believe_v 5._o suppose_v he_o do_v believe_v that_o which_o the_o church_n propose_v not_o mere_o upon_o its_o authority_n but_o upon_o the_o reason_n which_o the_o church_n offer_v why_o must_v this_o man_n be_v liable_a to_o heretical_a obstinacy_n for_o believe_v upon_o the_o church_n reason_n what_o a_o wonderful_a nice_a thing_n be_v heresy_n make_v it_o seem_v by_o this_o rare_a doctrine_n it_o do_v not_o excuse_v from_o heresy_n to_o believe_v even_o truth_n itself_o if_o it_o be_v upon_o ground_n of_o reason_n which_o the_o church_n itself_o give_v but_o it_o must_v be_v take_v mere_o from_o the_o church_n authority_n and_o yet_o that_o very_a authority_n must_v be_v believe_v on_o the_o ground_n of_o reason_n or_o the_o motive_n of_o gredibility_n 6._o suppose_v a_o person_n have_v use_v the_o best_a mean_n he_o can_v to_o find_v out_o his_o obligation_n to_o believe_v on_o the_o church_n authority_n and_o after_o all_o he_o can_v find_v any_o such_o thing_n what_o obligation_n be_v he_o under_o to_o inquire_v far_o and_o from_o whence_o do_v it_o arise_v and_o if_o he_o be_v not_o under_o any_o how_o can_v he_o be_v guilty_a of_o herecial_a obstinacy_n who_o be_v under_o no_o obligation_n to_o search_v any_o far_o for_o obstinacy_n must_v suppose_v resist_v some_o obligation_n 7._o suppose_v he_o be_v willing_a to_o believe_v on_o the_o church_n authority_n if_o that_o church_n be_v make_v appear_v to_o he_o to_o be_v the_o one_o catholic_n church_n of_o christ_n but_o when_o he_o come_v to_o examine_v this_o he_o find_v that_o he_o must_v exclude_v very_o great_a and_o considerable_a part_n of_o the_o catholic_n church_n to_o reduce_v the_o authority_n of_o the_o catholic_n church_n to_o that_o of_o the_o roman_a communion_n how_o can_v it_o then_o be_v heretical_a obstinacy_n not_o to_o suppose_v a_o part_n to_o be_v the_o whole_a 8._o suppose_v he_o have_v overcome_v this_o yet_o if_o he_o shall_v mistake_v about_o the_o seat_n of_o infallibility_n be_v he_o not_o still_o as_o liable_a to_o the_o charge_n of_o heretical_a obstinacy_n because_o the_o true_a reason_n of_o it_o be_v that_o such_o a_o person_n reject_v that_o which_o god_n have_v choose_v as_o the_o proper_a mean_n to_o propound_v matter_n of_o faith_n to_o we_o but_o if_o he_o shall_v be_v mistake_v in_o the_o true_a proponent_n he_o be_v in_o as_o much_o danger_n of_o heretical_a obstinacy_n still_o as_o suppose_v a_o man_n take_v a_o general_n council_n as_o represent_v the_o catholic_n church_n to_o be_v the_o only_a true_a proponent_n of_o faith_n and_o therefore_o reject_v the_o authority_n of_o the_o pope_n in_o this_o matter_n i_o desire_v to_o know_v whether_o this_o be_v heretical_a obstinacy_n or_o not_o if_o not_o then_o reject_v the_o true_a proponent_n do_v not_o make_v any_o liable_a to_o it_o if_o it_o do_v than_o there_o be_v heretical_a obstinacy_n in_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n as_o well_o as_o out_o of_o it_o and_o so_o much_o in_o answer_n to_o the_o replier_n charge_v of_o heresy_n on_o the_o church_n of_o england_n 3._o the_o next_o charge_n relate_v to_o the_o insufficient_a authority_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o that_o on_o these_o account_n 1._o in_o that_o it_o leave_v every_o man_n to_o judge_v for_o himself_o 2._o because_o she_o dare_v not_o use_v the_o true_a argument_n against_o sect_n for_o fear_v of_o their_o be_v turn_v upon_o herself_o 3._o because_o she_o deny_v a_o appeal_n to_o a_o high_a judicature_n 1._o it_o be_v urge_v in_o the_o paper_n that_o among_o we_o every_o man_n think_v himself_o as_o competent_a a_o judge_n of_o scripture_n as_o the_o very_a apostle_n it_o be_v answer_v that_o every_o man_n among_o we_o do_v not_o pretend_v to_o a_o infallible_a spirit_n but_o all_o yield_v the_o apostle_n have_v it_o and_o by_o be_v a_o judge_n of_o scripture_n if_o no_o more_o be_v mean_v than_o that_o
