require_v at_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o sovereign_n protection_n and_o defence_n of_o the_o subject_a against_o all_o wrong_n and_o injury_n whatsoever_o offer_v either_o by_o one_o subject_a to_o another_o or_o by_o the_o common_a enemy_n to_o they_o all_o or_o any_o of_o they_o this_o protection_n the_o law_n consider_v can_v be_v without_o a_o great_a charge_n to_o the_o king_n and_o because_o as_o christ_n say_v no_o man_n go_v to_o war_n upon_o his_o own_o charge_n the_o common-law_n therefore_o have_v not_o only_o give_v the_o king_n great_a prerogative_n and_o favour_n touch_v against_o the_o scot_n or_o welsh_a or_o other_o borderer_n within_o the_o island_n if_o it_o be_v a_o offensive_a war_n upon_o some_o nation_n beyond_o the_o sea_n it_o can_v be_v a_o sudden_a accident_n for_o it_o be_v the_o king_n own_o act_n and_o he_o may_v and_o it_o be_v fit_v he_o shall_v take_v deliberation_n and_o if_o it_o be_v a_o just_a and_o necessary_a war_n he_o may_v crave_v and_o easy_o obtain_v assistance_n of_o his_o subject_n by_o grant_n of_o aid_n in_o parliament_n if_o a_o offensive_a war_n upon_o some_o of_o his_o neighbour_n within_o the_o continent_n of_o this_o
