reception_n and_o participation_n and_o a_o union_n of_o denomination_n we_o be_v unite_v to_o christ_n so_o that_o thereby_o we_o have_v interest_n in_o and_o benefit_n by_o christ_n as_o a_o mediator_n and_o head_n but_o not_o so_o as_o to_o be_v denominate_v mediator_n only_o the_o union_n of_o the_o divine_a and_o humane_a nature_n in_o christ_n denominate_v he_o to_o be_v head_n and_o mediator_n for_o to_o make_v christ_n to_o be_v a_o mediator_n it_o be_v not_o only_o necessary_a that_o there_o shall_v be_v such_o a_o union_n but_o also_o that_o the_o person_n in_o who_o that_o to_o be_v find_v shall_v be_v god_n he_o that_o be_v a_o mediator_n betwixt_o god_n and_o man_n as_o he_o must_v be_v man_n so_o also_o he_o must_v be_v god_n but_o though_o we_o be_v unite_v to_o the_o divine_a nature_n in_o christ_n as_o well_o as_o to_o his_o humane_a nature_n yet_o we_o be_v not_o god_n first_o whether_o we_o be_v unite_v to_o the_o divine_a or_o humane_a nature_n first_o 3._o quest_n whether_o by_o faith_n we_o be_v first_o unite_v unto_o and_o join_v with_o the_o divine_a nature_n or_o humane_a nature_n of_o christ_n with_o himself_o first_o consider_v as_o man_n or_o with_o he_o first_o consider_v as_o god_n answer_v sol._n this_o question_n although_o i_o find_v it_o argue_v in_o the_o writing_n of_o very_a godly_a and_o learned_a man_n yet_o true_o unto_o i_o it_o do_v seem_v to_o savour_v of_o too_o much_o curiosity_n and_o for_o my_o own_o part_n so_o far_o as_o i_o do_v yet_o apprehend_v i_o do_v think_v it_o but_o a_o scholastical_a nicety_n for_o although_o you_o do_v find_v jesus_n christ_n reveal_v and_o manifest_v in_o the_o gospel_n sometime_o as_o man_n and_o many_o act_n ascribe_v unto_o his_o humane_a nature_n in_o reference_n to_o our_o redemption_n and_o someme_v as_o god_n and_o several_a act_n of_o his_o divine_a nature_n yet_o with_o submission_n to_o better_a judgement_n i_o do_v conceive_v that_o our_o union_n do_v not_o begin_v first_o with_o one_o nature_n and_o after_o that_o with_o the_o other_o nature_n of_o christ_n but_o our_o union_n be_v with_o the_o person_n of_o christ_n as_o consist_v of_o both_o nature_n at_o once_o and_o my_o reason_n be_v this_o because_o our_o union_n be_v with_o christ_n as_o mediator_n with_o whole_a christ_n at_o once_o i_o beseech_v you_o consider_v when_o the_o gospel_n offer_v christ_n to_o a_o poor_a and_o distress_a sinner_n it_o do_v not_o offer_n christ_n in_o one_o nature_n first_o and_o in_o his_o other_o nature_n next_o but_o the_o gospel_n offer_v whole_a spirit_n at_o once_o apply_v the_o whole_a christ_n unto_o you_o and_o faith_n at_o once_o look_v on_o christ_n as_o head_n and_o mediator_n and_o as_o so_o unite_v you_o unto_o christ_n faith_n look_v on_o christ_n not_o in_o one_o nature_n only_o or_o in_o the_o other_o nature_n only_o but_o as_o a_o mediator_n as_o a_o head_n as_o a_o saviour_n and_o under_o that_o notion_n unite_v you_o
