david_n though_o a_o man_n choose_v after_o thy_o own_o heart_n paul_n that_o elect_a vessel_n but_o man_n by_o nature_n carnal_a and_o even_o sell_v under_o sin_n until_o thou_o of_o thy_o own_o hear_v we_o and_o help_v we_o he_o will_v delay_v no_o further_o time_n than_o may_v be_v for_o our_o good_a he_o may_v seem_v unto_o we_o long_o in_o come_v but_o he_o will_v come_v in_o a_o time_n convenient_a and_o his_o delay_n work_v only_a patience_n and_o hope_n in_o we_o which_o if_o these_o grace_n have_v their_o perfect_a work_n in_o we_o we_o shall_v find_v that_o he_o will_v never_o fail_v we_o nor_o forsake_v we_o howsoever_o such_o as_o be_v ignorant_a of_o god_n power_n and_o providence_n may_v think_v that_o unless_o god_n come_v at_o our_o first_o call_n he_o will_v not_o though_o he_o cry_v out_o how_o long_a lord_n how_o long_o will_v thou_o absent_v thyself_o for_o ever_o joseph_n likewise_o in_o his_o captivity_n and_o imprisonment_n shall_v we_o think_v that_o he_o cry_v not_o unto_o the_o lord_n for_o delivery_n and_o that_o instant_o and_o yet_o he_o suffer_v he_o to_o endure_v the_o very_a iron_n setter_n and_o stock_n until_o god_n appoint_v time_n come_v and_o then_o when_o the_o counsel_n of_o the_o lord_n have_v sufficient_o try_v they_o than_o he_o deliver_v they_o and_o show_v the_o abundance_n of_o his_o mercy_n towards_o they_o in_o advance_v they_o both_o we_o may_v not_o therefore_o murmur_v or_o repine_v at_o god_n correction_n though_o they_o continue_v in_o our_o opinion_n long_o it_o be_v not_o only_o that_o it_o be_v unsavoury_a to_o our_o carnal_a mind_n but_o for_o want_v of_o faith_n for_o where_o faith_n be_v strong_a it_o produce_v hope_n and_o in_o hope_n we_o wait_v with_o patience_n and_o we_o find_v by_o experience_n that_o hope_n and_o patience_n shall_v not_o be_v in_o vain_a then_o whosoever_o be_v afflict_v let_v they_o cry_v unto_o god_n to_o have_v mercy_n upon_o they_o and_o that_o in_o a_o lively_a faith_n and_o he_o will_v at_o least_o case_n they_o if_o he_o do_v not_o altogether_o deliver_v they_o he_o will_v keep_v his_o own_o under_o his_o own_o hand_n and_o not_o suffer_v they_o to_o have_v the_o freedom_n of_o the_o reins_n at_o their_o own_o pleasure_n know_v the_o unrulinesse_n of_o our_o own_o nature_n which_o if_o he_o curb_v it_o not_o will_v run_v into_o every_o sin_n and_o make_v no_o conscience_n of_o any_o impiety_n as_o we_o may_v see_v by_o holy_a david_n himself_o when_o god_n permit_v he_o but_o to_o have_v a_o little_a liberty_n a_o small_a breathe_a time_n from_o his_o trouble_n into_o what_o sin_n do_v he_o run_v yet_o a_o man_n choose_v of_o god_n if_o he_o so_o far_o forget_v himself_o how_o shall_v we_o that_o have_v not_o his_o spiritual_a gift_n refrain_v ourselves_o from_o offend_a god_n more_o gross_o in_o our_o security_n trouble_n and_o affliction_n fall_v not_o upon_o we_o without_o god_n providence_n though_o satan_n work_v what_o he_o can_v to_o trouble_v we_o as_o appear_v in_o his_o try_v of_o job_n to_o draw_v we_o from_o god_n but_o howsoeruer_n he_o aim_v to_o make_v we_o distrust_n god_n by_o his_o tentation_n and_o afflict_v we_o the_o more_o do_v the_o child_n of_o god_n clean_o unto_o god_n for_o succour_n and_o cry_v unto_o he_o for_o mercy_n and_o that_o which_o satan_n intend_v to_o be_v for_o our_o hurt_n god_n work_v it_o for_o our_o good_a for_o all_o thing_n work_v together_o for_o the_o good_a of_o they_o that_o love_n god_n and_o be_v call_v of_o his_o purpose_n namely_o his_o own_o elect_a who_o as_o they_o be_v true_o god_n own_o so_o they_o depend_v upon_o he_o alone_o and_o know_v that_o what_o cross_n or_o affliction_n soever_o befall_v they_o it_o come_v from_o none_o but_o from_o their_o own_o love_a father_n for_o their_o especial_a good_a to_o prevent_v great_a danger_n as_o the_o holy_a apostle_n paul_n himself_o confess_v y_z t_o lest_o he_o shall_v be_v exalt_v out_o of_o measure_n through_o the_o abundance_n of_o revelation_n there_o be_v give_v unto_o he_o a_o prick_n in_o the_o flesh_n the_o messenger_n of_o satan_n to_o buffet_v he_o because_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v exalt_v out_o of_o measure_n god_n see_v our_o corrupt_a nature_n always_o apt_a to_o be_v puff_v up_o with_o a_o kind_n of_o pride_n and_o security_n when_o we_o feel_v the_o abundance_n of_o god_n grace_n and_o favour_n towards_o we_o in_o his_o wisdom_n and_o mercy_n take_v down_o our_o over_o good_a conceit_n of_o ourselves_o by_o correction_n as_o david_n before_o he_o be_v afflict_v go_v awry_o manasses_n a_o great_a idolater_n by_o trouble_n be_v reclaim_v and_o then_o he_o pray_v unto_o god_n and_o humble_a himself_o we_o may_v see_v it_o also_o in_o the_o prodigal_a son_n who_o as_o long_o as_o he_o have_v money_n to_o bestow_v upon_o his_o vanity_n and_o lust_n he_o live_v a_o rebellious_a life_n against_o his_o father_n but_o when_o he_o be_v afflict_v by_o penury_n and_o want_n he_o return_v home_o to_o his_o father_n repent_v and_o cry_v unto_o he_o in_o effect_n as_o here_o david_n do_v o_o father_n hearken_v unto_o my_o voice_n i_o cry_v unto_o thou_o for_o pardon_n have_v mercy_n also_o upon_o i_o and_o hear_v i_o as_o much_o as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v father_n forgive_v i_o god_n correction_n though_o grievous_a and_o unsavoury_a for_o a_o time_n yet_o good_a and_o profitable_a for_o we_o we_o be_v thereby_o the_o more_o draw_v from_o the_o delight_v in_o sin_n and_o make_v more_o obedient_a unto_o the_o will_n of_o god_n especial_o if_o they_o be_v season_v with_o reverence_n to_o god_n that_o send_v they_o with_o faith_n repentance_n and_o fervent_a prayer_n then_o shall_v we_o find_v that_o they_o will_v bring_v we_o be_v exercise_v with_o they_o the_o quiet_a fruit_n of_o righteousness_n wherefore_o let_v we_o not_o only_o not_o be_v discourage_v at_o the_o chastisement_n of_o god_n for_o they_o be_v in_o love_n but_o
