degree_n or_o at_o least_o new_a desire_n of_o it_o a_o live_a desire_n that_o will_v follow_v its_o point_n oh_o this_o be_v good_a repetition_n a_o strange_a folly_n of_o multitude_n of_o we_o to_o set_v ourselves_o no_o mark_n to_o propound_v no_o end_n in_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o merchant_n sail_v not_o only_o that_o he_o may_v sail_v but_o for_o traffic_v and_o traffic_v that_o he_o may_v be_v rich_a the_o husband_n man_n blow_v not_o only_o to_o keep_v himself_o busy_a with_o no_o further_a end_n but_o blow_n that_o he_o may_v sow_v and_o sow_n that_o he_o may_v reap_v with_o advantage_n and_o shall_v we_o do_v the_o most_o excellent_a and_o fruitful_a work_n fruitless_o hear_v only_o to_o hear_v and_o look_v no_o

most_o advantageous_a and_o gainful_a and_o yet_o all_o meeting_n be_v full_a of_o this_o now_o when_o you_o come_v this_o be_v not_o simple_o to_o hear_v a_o discourse_n and_o relish_v or_o dislike_v it_o in_o hear_v but_o a_o matter_n of_o life_n and_o death_n of_o eternal_a death_n and_o eternal_a life_n and_o the_o spiritual_a life_n beget_v and_o nourish_v by_o the_o word_n be_v the_o begin_n of_o that_o eternal_a life_n follow_v to_o they_o that_o be_v dead_a by_o which_o i_o conceive_v he_o intend_v such_o as_o have_v hear_v and_o believe_v the_o gospel_n when_o it_o come_v to_o they_o and_o now_o be_v dead_a and_o this_o i_o think_v he_o do_v to_o strengthen_v these_o brethren_n to_o who_o he_o write_v to_o commend_v the_o gospel_n to_o this_o intent_n and_o not_o to_o think_v the_o condition_n and_o end_n of_o it_o hard_o as_o our_o saviour_n mollify_v the_o matter_n of_o outward_a suffering_n thus_o so_o persecute_v they_o the_o prophet_n that_o be_v before_o you_o and_o the_o apostle_n afterward_o in_o this_o chapter_n use_v the_o same_o reason_n in_o that_o same_o subject_n so_o here_o that_o they_o may_v not_o judge_v the_o point_n of_o mortification_n he_o press_v no_o other_o but_o that_o they_o may_v have_v still_o be_v with_o you_o here_o in_o this_o place_n and_o exercise_v at_o this_o time_n and_o many_o year_n after_o this_o and_o yet_o who_o have_v lay_v salvation_n think_v therefore_o wise_o of_o these_o thing_n 1._o what_o be_v the_o proper_a end_n of_o the_o gospel_n 2._o of_o the_o approach_a end_n of_o thy_o day_n and_o let_v thy_o certainty_n of_o this_o drive_v thou_o to_o seek_v more_o certainty_n of_o the_o other_o that_o thou_o may_v partake_v of_o it_o and_o then_o this_o again_o will_v make_v the_o thought_n of_o the_o other_o
