that_o thus_o for_o there_o be_v two_o thing_n in_o the_o rational_a part_n of_o man_n his_o understanding_n and_o his_o will_n now_o the_o capacity_n of_o this_o part_n must_v be_v judge_v according_a to_o the_o object_n that_o be_v suitable_a unto_o these_o two_o faculty_n in_o man_n soul_n for_o the_o understanding_n it_o be_v not_o any_o particular_a thing_n that_o be_v the_o therefore_o the_o understanding_n be_v infinite_a because_o it_o be_v not_o satisfy_v in_o this_o or_o that_o particular_a but_o truth_n in_o the_o utmost_a extent_n and_o for_o the_o object_n of_o the_o will_n it_o be_v good_a in_o the_o general_n it_o be_v not_o this_o or_o that_o particular_a good_a but_o good_a in_o the_o universality_n of_o its_o nature_n and_o therefore_o till_o it_o come_v to_o enjoy_v god_n that_o do_v eminent_o contain_v all_o good_a in_o he_o it_o can_v never_o come_v to_o have_v full_a satisfaction_n and_o here_o observe_v the_o difference_n between_o the_o capacity_n of_o man_n nature_n and_o the_o capacity_n of_o other_o creature_n as_o for_o other_o creature_n their_o faculty_n can_v extend_v no_o further_o than_o some_o particular_a good_a and_o they_o be_v limit_v within_o the_o narrow_a bound_n of_o their_o own_o nature_n and_o therefore_o if_o so_o be_v the_o eye_n have_v colour_n it_o go_v no_o further_o and_o if_o the_o ear_n have_v sound_a it_o go_v no_o further_o and_o so_o taste_v it_o go_v no_o further_a than_o some_o particular_a good_a but_o the_o intelligent_a soul_n the_o rational_a soul_n go_v beyond_o all_o particular_n to_o the_o mind_n in_o behold_v god_n and_o his_o glory_n there_o be_v two_o reason_n of_o content_a in_o see_v thing_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o aquin._n object_n or_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o act_n reason_n have_v get_v above_o sense_n and_o we_o may_v easy_o see_v how_o they_o can_v be_v by_o sense_n if_o a_o man_n look_v up_o to_o the_o firmament_n and_o see_v the_o sun_n shine_v he_o will_v think_v it_o be_v little_o big_a than_o a_o bushel_n or_o the_o like_a now_o reason_n will_v tell_v man_n otherwise_o reason_n that_o tell_v man_n that_o this_o creature_n that_o appear_v to_o be_v but_o in_o this_o bigness_n it_o be_v many_o hundred_o time_n big_a than_o the_o earth_n now_o if_o reason_n can_v rectify_v sense_n so_o far_o why_o shall_v not_o faith_n go_v beyond_o reason_n as_o far_o now_o reason_n will_v tell_v we_o of_o much_o happiness_n that_o may_v be_v have_v we_o may_v conceive_v by_o reason_n by_o understanding_n that_o the_o rational_a creature_n be_v capable_a of_o abundance_n of_o glory_n but_o when_o you_o hear_v thing_n deliver_v by_o the_o word_n which_o be_v more_o than_o reason_n can_v conceive_v let_v we_o get_v faith_n to_o rectify_v reason_n and_o we_o in_o the_o earth_n and_o who_o glory_n shall_v be_v external_a not_o consider_v the_o spiritual_a kingdom_n of_o christ_n so_o most_o in_o the_o world_n look_v but_o for_o a_o carnal_a heaven_n it_o be_v a_o good_a evidence_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o grace_n if_o you_o can_v look_v to_o heaven_n with_o a_o right_a eye_n in_o a_o right_a manner_n to_o look_v at_o the_o spiritual_a part_n and_o spiritual_a excellency_n in_o heaven_n but_o that_o which_o make_v people_n to_o call_v these_o thing_n in_o question_n be_v first_o because_o they_o be_v not_o acquaint_v with_o god_n but_o be_v sensual_a their_o heart_n be_v acquaint_v with_o nothing_o but_o sensual_a and_o earthly_a thing_n and_o therefore_o their_o heart_n be_v not_o raise_v to_o these_o thing_n but_o they_o look_v at_o they_o as_o notion_n but_o that_o soul_n that_o be_v acquaint_v with_o god_n and_o the_o counsel_n of_o god_n and_o
claim_n to_o heaven_n and_o eternal_a life_n and_o this_o recompense_n of_o reward_n do_v lie_v right_a in_o the_o point_n of_o justification_n or_o no_o if_o you_o look_v at_o nothing_o but_o the_o work_n that_o you_o do_v though_o they_o be_v never_o so_o glorious_a and_o good_a &_o do_v not_o lay_v your_o claim_n first_o right_n in_o the_o point_n of_o justification_n you_o will_v mistake_v and_o miscarry_v and_o be_v disappoint_v of_o all_o this_o recompense_n of_o reward_n therefore_o paul_n in_o rom._n 8._o 30._o say_v who_o he_o have_v justify_v they_o he_o also_o glorify_v so_o that_o glorification_n do_v depend_v upon_o justification_n now_o than_o the_o first_o thing_n that_o a_o soul_n be_v to_o look_v after_o for_o the_o assurance_n of_o its_o portion_n in_o this_o recompense_n of_o reward_n be_v to_o make_v sure_a in_o the_o point_n of_o justification_n for_o there_o lie_v the_o claim_n to_o heaven_n and_o all_o the_o rest_n come_v but_o as_o a_o consequent_a of_o this_o now_o the_o lay_v our_o claim_n right_o in_o the_o point_n of_o justification_n consist_v in_o this_o when_o a_o soul_n come_v to_o apprehend_v the_o infinite_a need_n it_o have_v of_o a_o perfect_a righteousness_n of_o a_o mediator_n and_o look_n upon_o that_o righteousness_n of_o the_o mediator_n as_o well_o please_v to_o god_n as_o sufficient_a to_o absolve_v it_o from_o former_a sin_n and_o to_o discharge_v it_o from_o former_a guiltiness_n whereby_o another_o reward_n be_v due_a to_o it_o and_o by_o faith_n apply_v this_o righteousness_n whereby_o it_o come_v to_o be_v perfect_a before_o god_n and_o lay_v the_o weight_n of_o all_o its_o confidence_n of_o heaven_n and_o of_o glory_n upon_o this_o than_o you_o may_v hope_v to_o have_v interest_n in_o this_o recompense_n of_o reward_n but_o if_o your_o claim_n come_v in_o any_o other_o way_n then_o this_o it_o do_v not_o give_v you_o any_o interest_n to_o heaven_n and_o therefore_o look_v much_o to_o the_o point_n of_o justification_n and_o be_v sure_a that_o your_o heart_n have_v lay_v the_o claim_n and_o interest_n it_o have_v to_o heaven_n and_o eternal_a life_n right_o there_o and_o then_o there_o may_v be_v great_a hope_n of_o the_o recompense_n of_o reward_n though_o afterward_o there_o be_v many_o fail_n in_o your_o work_n and_o service_n and_o if_o you_o will_v look_v at_o any_o work_n whereby_o you_o shall_v have_v the_o reward_n especial_o look_v at_o the_o work_n of_o believe_v close_v with_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o apprehension_n of_o your_o own_o unworthiness_n this_o be_v the_o great_a work_n that_o any_o man_n be_v able_a to_o do_v that_o shall_v have_v the_o great_a reward_n in_o heaven_n you_o think_v if_o you_o be_v able_a to_o perform_v
