from_o he_o those_o strong_a cry_n those_o deep_a and_o woeful_a complaint_n that_o bloody_a and_o bitter_a sweat_n which_o draw_v compassion_n from_o the_o very_a rock_n and_o sure_o it_o be_v no_o derogation_n to_o the_o dignity_n of_o christ_n person_n but_o on_o the_o other_o side_n a_o great_a magnify_v of_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n against_o sin_n of_o the_o power_n of_o christ_n against_o the_o law_n and_o of_o the_o mercy_n of_o they_o both_o towards_o sinner_n to_o affirm_v that_o the_o suffering_n of_o christ_n whatever_o they_o be_v in_o specie_fw-la in_o the_o kind_n of_o they_o be_v yet_o in_o pondere_fw-la in_o their_o weight_n and_o pressure_n equal_o grievous_a with_o those_o which_o we_o shall_v have_v suffer_v for_o be_v in_o all_o thing_n save_o sin_n like_o unto_o we_o and_o most_o of_o all_o in_o his_o liablenesse_n to_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n so_o far_o as_o it_o do_v not_o necessary_o denotate_v either_o sin_n inherent_a or_o weakness_n to_o break_v through_o in_o the_o person_n suffer_v why_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v obnoxious_a to_o as_o great_a extremity_n of_o pain_n i_o see_v no_o reason_n for_o no_o degree_n of_o mere_a anguish_n and_o dolour_n can_v be_v unbefitting_a the_o person_n of_o he_o who_o be_v to_o be_v know_v by_o that_o title_n a_o man_n of_o sorrow_n and_o sure_o far_a more_o indignity_n it_o be_v to_o he_o to_o suffer_v a_o violent_a death_n of_o body_n from_o the_o hand_n of_o base_a man_n than_o to_o suffer_v with_o patience_n obedience_n and_o victory_n far_o sore_a stripe_n from_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n his_o father_n who_o be_v please_v upon_o he_o to_o lay_v the_o iniquity_n of_o we_o all_o for_o the_o second_o thing_n propose_v why_o christ_n suffer_v these_o thing_n the_o scripture_n give_v principal_o these_o five_o reason_n first_o to_o execute_v the_o decree_n of_o his_o father_n act._n 4.27_o 28._o second_o to_o fulfil_v the_o prophecy_n prefiguration_n and_o prediction_n of_o holy_a scripture_n luk._n 24.46_o three_o to_o magnify_v his_o mercy_n and_o free_a love_n to_o sinner_n and_o most_o impotent_a enemy_n rom._n 5.8_o four_o to_o declare_v the_o righteousness_n and_o unsearchable_a riches_n of_o love_n and_o mercy_n towards_o sinner_n and_o in_o all_o thing_n to_o make_v way_n to_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o glory_n last_o to_o show_v forth_o his_o own_o power_n which_o have_v strength_n to_o stand_v under_o all_o this_o punishment_n of_o sin_n and_o at_o last_o to_o shake_v it_o off_o and_o to_o declare_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n by_o the_o resurrection_n from_o the_o dead_a rom._n 1.4_o for_o though_o christ_n do_v exceed_o fear_v and_o for_o that_o seem_v to_o decline_v and_o pray_v against_o these_o his_o passion_n yet_o none_o of_o that_o be_v out_o of_o jealousy_n or_o suspicion_n that_o he_o shall_v not_o break_v through_o they_o but_o he_o fear_v they_o as_o be_v pain_n unavoidable_a which_o he_o be_v most_o certain_o to_o suffer_v and_o as_o pain_n very_o heavy_a and_o grievous_a which_o he_o shall_v not_o overcome_v without_o much_o bitterness_n and_o very_o woeful_a conflict_n now_o for_o a_o word_n of_o the_o last_o clause_n therefore_o shall_v he_o lift_v up_o the_o head_n we_o may_v hence_o observe_v that_o christ_n have_v conquer_v all_o his_o suffering_n by_o his_o own_o power_n as_o in_o his_o passion_n when_o he_o suffer_v he_o bow_v down_o his_o head_n beforehand_o and_o give_v up_o the_o ghost_n with_o a_o loud_a voice_n to_o note_v that_o his_o suffering_n be_v voluntary_a joh._n
