2_o in_o what_o part_n he_o be_v forsake_v 3_o upon_o what_o ground_n and_o 4_o to_o what_o end_n all_o this_o forsake_v of_o christ_n be_v for_o the_o first_o forsake_v be_v nothing_o else_o but_o when_o god_n leave_v the_o creature_n to_o itself_o either_o in_o regard_n of_o comfort_n or_o of_o grace_n and_o assistance_n i_o will_v show_v you_o how_o christ_n be_v leâ—t_v of_o his_o father_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n as_o also_o that_o give_v merit_n and_o worth_n of_o satisfaction_n to_o his_o suffering_n 3_o neither_o be_v this_o forsake_v in_o regard_n of_o grace_n as_o if_o faith_n or_o love_n or_o any_o other_o grace_n be_v take_v from_o christ_n oh_o no_o for_o he_o believe_v before_o he_o say_v my_o god_n my_o god_n will_v he_o have_v commit_v his_o dear_a jewel_n into_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n if_o he_o have_v not_o believe_v in_o he_o how_o then_o be_v christ_n forsake_v quest._n 1_o in_o regard_n of_o his_o present_a comfort_n and_o joy_n not_o suffer_v in_o his_o soul_n the_o sense_n of_o god_n displeasure_n why_o shall_v he_o thus_o cry_v out_o when_o as_o the_o poor_a thief_n that_o suffer_v by_o he_o make_v no_o such_o exclamation_n if_o he_o have_v suffer_v in_o body_n only_o the_o suffering_n of_o paul_n and_o moses_n have_v be_v more_o for_o they_o wish_v to_o be_v separate_v from_o the_o joy_n of_o heaven_n out_o of_o a_o desire_n to_o promote_v god_n glory_n on_o earth_n therefore_o it_o be_v he_o say_v in_o the_o garden_n my_o soul_n be_v heavy_a unto_o death_n some_o will_v grant_v that_o christ_n suffer_v in_o soul_n object_n but_o say_v they_o it_o be_v by_o way_n of_o sympathy_n for_o there_o be_v suffering_n of_o soul_n immediate_o from_o god_n and_o suffering_n by_o way_n of_o sympathy_n search_v his_o heart_n in_o regard_n of_o corruption_n be_v there_o any_o sin_n that_o i_o be_o not_o willing_a to_o part_v with_o etc._n etc._n belove_a god_n many_o time_n leave_v we_o and_o not_o only_o leave_v we_o but_o make_v our_o naked_a conscience_n smart_v for_o sin_n oh_o this_o be_v a_o quicken_a thing_n a_o child_n of_o god_n that_o be_v of_o the_o right_a stamp_n will_v not_o endure_v to_o be_v under_o god_n wrath_n long_o oh_o it_o be_v bitter_a he_o know_v what_o it_o be_v to_o enjoy_v communion_n with_o god_n he_o will_v not_o endure_v it_o therefore_o it_o stir_v he_o with_o christ_n he_o know_v when_o to_o raise_v and_o when_o to_o allay_v his_o affection_n and_o though_o there_o be_v much_o nature_n in_o these_o affection_n a_o natural_a shun_v of_o grief_n and_o a_o natural_a desire_n of_o god_n presence_n yet_o here_o be_v grace_n to_o direct_v and_o sanctify_v the_o same_o for_o nature_n sometime_o carry_v grace_n with_o a_o strong_a wind_n more_o full_o when_o they_o go_v both_o in_o one_o current_n as_o here_o it_o be_v grace_n to_o have_v the_o love_n of_o god_n yea_o it_o be_v death_n to_o be_v without_o it_o and_o it_o be_v sinless_a nature_n to_o desire_v ease_n for_o without_o sin_n nature_n may_v desire_v ease_n so_o it_o be_v with_o submission_n of_o itself_o too_o god_n for_o the_o soul_n may_v have_v divers_a desire_n as_o there_o be_v divers_a object_n present_v to_o it_o when_o the_o soul_n apprehend_v releafe_n and_o ease_n it_o rejoice_v and_o be_v glad_a but_o when_o upon_o high_a consideration_n and_o better_a end_n there_o be_v pain_n present_v to_o the_o soul_n to_o do_v it_o good_a the_o soul_n may_v desire_v that_o and_o upon_o deliberation_n choose_v that_o it_o refuse_v before_o a_o man_n may_v have_v his_o hand_n cut_v off_o and_o cast_v his_o ware_n into_o the_o sea_n that_o he_o will_v not_o willing_o do_v yet_o when_o upon_o deliberation_n he_o consider_v i_o shall_v save_v my_o life_n by_o it_o he_o will_v do_v it_o so_o christ_n by_o a_o natural_a desire_n without_o sin_n may_v desire_v release_n of_o pain_n but_o when_o it_o be_v present_v to_o he_o what_o shall_v become_v of_o the_o salvation_n of_o man_n and_o obedience_n to_o god_n then_o upon_o these_o consideration_n that_o respect_v high_a end_n there_o may_v be_v another_o choice_n so_o in_o thing_n subordinate_a one_o to_o another_o one_o thing_n may_v cross_v another_o and_o yet_o all_o be_v good_a too_o but_o you_o must_v know_v this_o likewise_o that_o forsake_v and_o to_o be_v sensible_a of_o forsake_v be_v no_o sin_n especial_o when_o it_o be_v not_o contract_v by_o any_o sin_n of_o we_o it_o be_v a_o suffering_n but_o not_o a_o sin_n and_o to_o be_v sensible_a of_o it_o be_v no_o sin_n it_o be_v rather_o a_o sin_n to_o be_v otherwise_o affect_v god_n allow_v those_o affection_n that_o he_o have_v plant_v in_o we_o he_o have_v plant_v fear_n and_o forrow_n in_o present_v dolorous_a object_n if_o a_o power_n of_o hell_n be_v round_o about_o he_o satan_n as_o he_o be_v busy_a about_o he_o at_o the_o entrance_n into_o his_o office_n 4._o so_o he_o be_v now_o vex_v his_o righteous_a soul_n with_o temptation_n god_n have_v for_o saken_a thou_o and_o this_o and_o that_o we_o know_v not_o the_o malice_n of_o satan_n at_o such_o a_o time_n but_o certain_o the_o power_n of_o hell_n be_v all_o let_v have_v stoop_v so_o low_a to_o poor_a creature_n to_o be_v a_o father_n and_o a_o friend_n to_o they_o will_v suffer_v they_o familiar_o as_o there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o familiarity_n in_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n yet_o reverent_o to_o lay_v open_a their_o grief_n into_o his_o bosom_n and_o reason_n the_o case_n with_o his_o majesty_n without_o sin_n why_o lord_n be_o i_o thus_o forsake_v what_o be_v the_o matter_n where_o be_v the_o sound_v of_o thy_o bowel_n where_o be_v thy_o former_a mercy_n etc._n etc._n there_o be_v another_o kind_n of_o familiarity_n between_o god_n and_o his_o child_n than_o the_o world_n take_v notice_n of_o yet_o withal_o remember_v they_o be_v not_o murmur_v complaint_n but_o season_v with_o faith_n and_o love_n as_o here_o my_o god_n my_o god_n still_o whence_o you_o see_v that_o christ_n in_o his_o great_a extremity_n have_v a_o spirit_n of_o faith_n there_o be_v a_o question_n between_o the_o papist_n and_o we_o conclâ—s_n about_o christ_n faith_n they_o will_v have_v he_o to_o be_v a_o comprehend_a and_o a_o traveller_n etc._n etc._n indeed_o he_o need_v no_o justify_v faith_n to_o apply_v any_o thing_n from_o without_o he_o own_o people_n thy_o name_n be_v call_v upon_o they_o and_o they_o call_v upon_o thy_o name_n though_o they_o have_v sin_v yet_o thou_o deserve_v to_o be_v like_o thyself_o and_o christ_n have_v deserve_v mercy_n for_o they_o thus_o if_o we_o contend_v with_o god_n and_o keep_v not_o silence_n and_o give_v god_n no_o rest_n faith_n will_v work_v wonder_n the_o state_n of_o the_o church_n below_o wherein_o he_o manifest_v his_o grace_n yea_o the_o whole_a world_n in_o a_o sort_n be_v his_o house_n because_o he_o manifest_v his_o power_n and_o wisdom_n in_o it_o but_o heaven_n and_o his_o church_n in_o a_o more_o peculiar_a manner_n and_o that_o in_o these_o respect_n 1._o reason_n because_o god_n by_o his_o grace_n have_v residence_n in_o his_o church_n 2._o because_o by_o the_o
