virtue_n itself_o will_v have_v no_o where_o to_o exist_v for_o who_o sake_n he_o undergo_v death_n but_o as_o to_o this_o divine_a man_n have_v abundant_o demonstrate_v that_o the_o soul_n be_v immortal_a and_o natural_o apt_a to_o be_v adorn_v with_o virtue_n but_o now_o put_v a_o end_n to_o the_o present_a disputation_n we_o will_v proceed_v to_o what_o follow_v add_v this_o only_a to_o what_o have_v be_v say_v that_o as_o from_o the_o ignorance_n of_o our_o nature_n all_o manner_n of_o wickedness_n flow_v in_o upon_o we_o so_o if_o we_o know_v ourselves_o and_o disdain_n whatever_o do_v not_o become_v our_o rational_a nature_n we_o shall_v true_o and_o constant_o perform_v all_o our_o office_n and_o this_o be_v the_o measure_n of_o every_o particular_a virtue_n for_o if_o we_o attend_v to_o our_o nature_n as_o to_o a_o rule_n we_o shall_v find_v that_o which_o be_v decent_a in_o all_o thing_n live_v according_a to_o right_a reason_n and_o agreeable_o to_o nature_n for_o whatsoever_o make_v the_o soul_n better_o that_o be_v true_o virtue_n and_o the_o law_n of_o philosophy_n but_o those_o thing_n which_o tend_v only_o to_o humane_a decency_n and_o show_n be_v seem_v to_o come_v to_o pass_v without_o order_n but_o that_o upon_o examination_n of_o their_o cause_n we_o bear_v they_o generous_o never_o find_v fault_n with_o those_o who_o have_v the_o charge_n of_o we_o who_o distribute_v to_o every_o one_o according_a to_o merit_n do_v not_o reward_v all_o alike_o who_o proficiency_n be_v unequal_a for_o how_o since_o the_o world_n be_v rule_v by_o which_o we_o may_v do_v also_o in_o good_a thing_n if_o we_o do_v use_v they_o right_o as_o health_n riches_n and_o power_n for_o we_o may_v do_v ill_a with_o these_o and_o obtain_v virtue_n with_o the_o contrary_n but_o real_a evil_n be_v voluntary_a offence_n such_o as_o be_v inconsistent_a with_o virtue_n and_o these_o be_v injustice_n intemperance_n and_o whatever_o else_o be_v contrary_a engrave_v and_o implant_v natural_o on_o it_o when_o blind_v with_o passion_n that_o right_a reason_n be_v implant_v in_o man_n this_o be_v a_o sure_a sign_n that_o a_o unjust_a man_n give_v a_o right_a judgement_n in_o those_o thing_n wherein_o his_o interest_n be_v not_o concern_v and_o so_o a_o intemperate_a man_n read_v lecture_n of_o temperance_n to_o other_o in_o a_o word_n every_o that_o the_o cause_n of_o this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v seek_v for_o out_o of_o ourselves_o so_o that_o the_o connexion_n of_o our_o election_n and_o his_o judgement_n make_v a_o divine_a fortune_n all_o therefore_o that_o be_v mean_v by_o divine_a fortune_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n against_o sin_n and_o so_o the_o artificial_a contrivance_n of_o this_o phrase_n salve_v god_n providence_n and_o the_o soul_n liberty_n and_o immortality_n so_o that_o the_o matter_n of_o our_o life_n come_v not_o to_o pass_v altogether_o by_o fate_n nor_o yet_o at_o random_n and_o fortuitous_o nor_o be_v our_o whole_a life_n to_o be_v resolve_v one_o way_n but_o whenever_o we_o offend_v in_o thing_n within_o our_o power_n it_o be_v to_o be_v refer_v to_o our_o own_o choice_n but_o whatsoever_o follow_v our_o sin_n according_a to_o the_o law_n of_o justice_n that_o be_v our_o fate_n and_o whatever_o good_a proceed_v primary_o from_o god_n be_v to_o be_v refer_v same_o to_o one_o another_o not_o with_o any_o regard_n to_o the_o merit_n of_o they_o that_o suffer_v but_o either_o to_o satisfy_v their_o own_o hunger_n or_o to_o cure_v a_o disease_n in_o a_o word_n to_o relieve_v their_o necessity_n which_o way_n soever_o they_o can_v so_o that_o the_o infelicity_n of_o brute_n be_v occasion_v by_o the_o supply_n of_o our_o need_n and_o their_o seem_a happiness_n depend_v upon_o our_o favour_n if_o it_o be_v therefore_o urge_v by_o any_o that_o there_o may_v be_v some_o being_n more_o excellent_a than_o ourselves_o which_o may_v abuse_v we_o to_o the_o pythagorean_n who_o will_v have_v nothing_o mortal_a to_o be_v the_o immediate_a production_n of_o god_n and_o that_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n be_v make_v of_o the_o same_o temperament_n with_o the_o mundane_a god_n demon_n and_o illustrious_a hero_n and_o therefore_o that_o providence_n be_v conspicuous_a in_o every_o man_n after_o what_o manner_n he_o be_v distant_a from_o they_o there_o after_o what_o manner_n he_o aspire_v to_o they_o after_o what_o manner_n he_o live_v here_o and_o after_o what_o manner_n he_o depart_v hence_o thither_o none_o of_o all_o which_o be_v to_o be_v do_v concern_v a_o irrational_a nature_n for_o neither_o can_v that_o come_v to_o god_n which_o be_v not_o to_o be_v wrought_v on_o by_o moral_a persuasion_n neither_o can_v that_o converse_v upon_o earth_n which_o be_v natural_o a_o heavenly_a plant_n neither_o be_v it_o apt_a to_o be_v translate_v into_o its_o proper_a orb._n and_o so_o much_o by_o way_n of_o apology_n to_o malcontent_n who_o endeavour_n to_o undermine_v the_o be_v of_o providence_n to_o who_o this_o be_v fit_a to_o be_v say_v over_o and_o above_o that_o the_o great_a argument_n of_o a_o rational_a and_o consider_a frame_n of_o mind_n be_v to_o endure_v affliction_n patient_o which_o not_o only_o alleviate_v the_o present_a misery_n but_o prevent_v future_a trouble_n but_o what_o do_v you_o by_o impatience_n but_o add_v
