up_o his_o rest_n upon_o it_o as_o suppose_v if_o this_o will_v not_o serve_v his_o turn_n there_o be_v no_o more_o fight_v for_o he_o all_o this_o will_v i_o give_v thou_o say_v he_o and_o such_o a_o value_n he_o set_v upon_o this_o stake_n that_o no_o less_o than_o the_o extreme_a degree_n of_o horrible_a idolatry_n can_v serve_v his_o turn_n to_o oppose_v against_o it_o all_o this_o will_v i_o give_v thou_o if_o thou_o will_v fall_v down_o and_o worship_v i_o and_o when_o he_o see_v that_o this_o proffer_n will_v not_o be_v accept_v he_o present_o quit_v the_o field_n despair_v utter_o of_o any_o success_n the_o more_o dangerous_a indeed_o be_v this_o enemy_n i_o may_v say_v more_o dangerous_a to_o we_o than_o the_o devil_n himself_o because_o we_o all_o acknowledge_v the_o devil_n in_o person_n to_o be_v our_o enemy_n and_o therefore_o not_o one_o of_o we_o will_v be_v behold_v to_o he_o for_o any_o thing_n if_o he_o bring_v we_o the_o gift_n himself_o a_o sick_a man_n will_v not_o be_v heal_v by_o he_o nor_o a_o poor_a man_n make_v rich_a but_o scarce_o one_o among_o a_o thousand_o have_v that_o opinion_n of_o the_o vain_a pomp_n and_o sinful_a pleasure_n of_o the_o world_n our_o enemy_n no_o certain_o it_o be_v the_o best_a and_o most_o comfort_a friend_n we_o have_v in_o this_o life_n all_o our_o thought_n be_v take_v up_o with_o it_o it_o possess_v we_o at_o all_o time_n we_o dream_v of_o it_o sleep_v and_o pursue_v it_o wake_v and_o yet_o our_o saviour_n say_v you_o can_v serve_v god_n and_o mammon_n and_o again_o how_o can_v you_o believe_v who_o seek_v honour_v one_o of_o another_o and_o again_o if_o any_o man_n love_v the_o world_n the_o love_n of_o the_o father_n be_v not_o in_o he_o what_o strength_n then_o have_v we_o to_o oppose_v this_o enemy_n 22._o why_o sure_o that_o which_o will_v suffice_v but_o a_o ordinary_a reasonable_a man_n and_o may_v serve_v any_o of_o we_o but_o that_o we_o will_v needs_o be_v unreasonable_a only_o in_o thing_n which_o concern_v our_o everlasting_a welfare_n and_o that_o be_v the_o consideration_n of_o those_o unspeakable_a joy_n which_o shall_v attend_v those_o who_o can_v despise_v the_o unsatisfy_a vain_a pleasure_n of_o this_o life_n a_o philosopher_n which_o but_o read_v plato_n poetical_a description_n of_o the_o serenity_n of_o that_o life_n which_o a_o virtuous_a soul_n deliver_v from_o the_o prison_n of_o the_o body_n live_v be_v so_o far_o transport_v with_o the_o conceit_n of_o it_o though_o for_o aught_o he_o know_v there_o be_v no_o such_o thing_n indeed_o or_o if_o there_o be_v perhaps_o never_o intend_v for_o he_o that_o he_o become_v present_o weary_a of_o this_o prison_n and_o by_o a_o violent_a death_n free_v himself_o from_o it_o and_o god_n only_o know_v what_o a_o change_n he_o find_v whereas_o we_o have_v god_n word_n for_o the_o certainty_n of_o that_o glorious_a life_n which_o his_o servant_n shall_v live_v yea_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o pain_n he_o have_v take_v to_o make_v it_o desirable_a and_o amiable_a unto_o we_o by_o ransack_v all_o the_o treasure_n of_o this_o world_n the_o most_o costly_a jewel_n the_o most_o precious_a
