shall_v be_v vital_o unite_v to_o the_o body_n of_o peter_n and_o the_o soul_n of_o peter_n vital_o unite_v to_o the_o body_n of_o john_n i_o will_v ask_v the_o animadverter_n whether_o he_o think_v that_o such_o a_o change_n of_o body_n will_v make_v any_o change_n in_o their_o person_n whether_o john_n will_v not_o as_o much_o feel_v himself_o to_o be_v john_n and_o peter_n to_o be_v peter_n as_o ever_o they_o do_v i_o believe_v indeed_o a_o innocent_a good-natured_a soul_n will_v not_o be_v willing_a to_o venture_v a_o change_n of_o body_n with_o every_o body_n for_o fear_v of_o some_o moral_a infection_n but_o the_o natural_a person_n will_v be_v the_o same_o for_o nothing_o make_v any_o body_n we_o but_o a_o vital_a union_n and_o who_o body_n soever_o it_o be_v before_o it_o become_v our_o own_o when_o our_o soul_n inform_v it_o and_o feel_v the_o impression_n of_o it_o now_o if_o the_o soul_n be_v the_o person_n when_o unite_v to_o the_o body_n it_o can_v lose_v its_o personality_n by_o go_v out_o of_o it_o nay_o if_o the_o soul_n can_v subsist_v in_o separation_n from_o the_o body_n and_o live_v and_o perform_v all_o the_o action_n of_o a_o rational_a nature_n it_o must_v be_v a_o person_n if_o a_o individual_a subsist_v rational_a nature_n be_v a_o person_n and_o if_o it_o be_v not_o i_o will_v know_v what_o to_o call_v it_o but_o this_o animadverter_n be_v a_o very_a wagg_n and_o banter_n the_o poor_a dean_n most_o unmerciful_o and_o demonstrate_v beyond_o all_o contradiction_n that_o the_o soul_n in_o a_o state_n of_o separation_n can_v be_v a_o person_n because_o it_o be_v neither_o the_o same_o person_n which_o the_o man_n himself_o be_v while_o he_o be_v live_v and_o 76._o in_o the_o body_n nor_o another_o person_n and_o therefore_o it_o know_v yet_o he_o know_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o same_o man_n and_o the_o same_o person_n that_o ever_o he_o be_v but_o the_o animadverter_n very_o learned_o prove_v that_o the_o soul_n out_o of_o the_o body_n can_v be_v the_o same_o person_n with_o the_o man_n because_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o the_o soul_n and_o body_n too_o as_o the_o man_n be_v when_o the_o soul_n and_o body_n be_v unite_v which_o be_v well_o observe_v that_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o the_o body_n nor_o a_o part_n the_o whole_a but_o yet_o if_o the_o personality_n be_v not_o compound_v of_o soul_n and_o body_n the_o soul_n may_v be_v the_o whole_a and_o same_o person_n in_o the_o body_n and_o out_o of_o it_o there_o be_v no_o need_n then_o to_o say_v that_o the_o soul_n in_o a_o state_n of_o separation_n be_v be_v in_o the_o body_n or_o out_o of_o it_o do_v not_o concern_v the_o personality_n but_o the_o different_a state_n wherein_o the_o same_o person_n live_v to_o proceed_v the_o dean_n have_v upon_o another_o occasion_n say_v that_o all_o the_o suffering_n and_o action_n of_o the_o body_n be_v attribute_v to_o the_o man_n though_o the_o soul_n be_v the_o person_n because_o it_o be_v the_o
