late_o be_v show_v it_o be_v i_o say_v in_o this_o case_n and_o under_o these_o circumstance_n a_o essential_a property_n of_o desire_n in_o man_n to_o engage_v they_o unto_o action_n for_o the_o obtain_n of_o the_o thing_n desire_v because_o whensoever_o man_n act_n or_o endeavour_v themselves_o in_o any_o kind_n to_o bring_v a_o thing_n to_o pass_v they_o be_v always_o presume_v to_o desire_v the_o thing_n or_o the_o come_n of_o it_o to_o pass_v therefore_o god_n also_o according_a to_o scripture_n dialect_n and_o phrase_n may_v be_v say_v to_o desire_v whatsoever_o he_o any_o way_n interpose_v himself_o or_o give_v mean_n to_o bring_v to_o pass_v second_o there_o be_v the_o same_o consideration_n and_o ground_n also_o of_o purpose_n 17._o §._o 17._o and_o intention_n end_n so_o a_o man_n that_o have_v knowledge_n whether_o of_o thing_n past_a present_a or_o to_o come_v be_v wise_a withal_o manage_v and_o dispose_v his_o affair_n according_a to_o the_o exigency_n of_o such_o knowledge_n and_o with_o the_o best_a advantage_n that_o such_o knowledge_n afford_v unto_o he_o a_o man_n that_o be_v just_a do_v thing_n that_o be_v just_a and_o equal_a and_o so_o he_o that_o be_v angry_a frown_n threaten_v or_o strike_v he_o that_o love_v do_v good_a unto_o and_o kind_o by_o those_o who_o be_v love_v of_o he_o he_o that_o hate_v act_n to_o the_o prejudice_n or_o hurt_v of_o the_o person_n hate_v when_o he_o have_v opportunity_n and_o so_o in_o the_o rest_n now_o because_o god_n out_o of_o the_o infinite_a perfection_n of_o his_o nature_n though_o it_o be_v as_o have_v be_v say_v most_o single_o and_o simple_o one_o be_v yet_o able_a to_o act_v and_o do_v act_n when_o he_o please_v all_o this_o variety_n of_o action_n act_n as_o wise_a man_n act_v as_o man_n that_o have_v knowledge_n of_o thing_n act_v as_o man_n that_o be_v angry_a as_o man_n that_o love_v as_o man_n that_o hate_v be_v wont_a to_o act_v etc._n etc._n therefore_o all_o these_o cure_n of_o all_o disease_n as_o gout_n stone_n fever_n apoplexy_n etc._n etc._n and_o further_o that_o there_o be_v particular_a medicine_n or_o receipt_n beside_o appropriate_v to_o every_o disease_n respective_o and_o be_v all_o of_o they_o sufficient_a to_o cure_v their_o appropriate_v disease_n in_o this_o case_n that_o simple_a we_o speak_v of_o may_v be_v say_v to_o have_v the_o several_a virtue_n of_o all_o those_o other_o medicine_n or_o receipt_n in_o it_o because_o it_o be_v able_a to_o do_v alone_o as_o much_o and_o as_o many_o thing_n in_o a_o medicinal_a way_n as_o all_o those_o take_v together_o yet_o can_v it_o not_o be_v say_v to_o have_v the_o virtue_n of_o any_o one_o of_o they_o in_o the_o specifical_a or_o formal_a nature_n of_o it_o but_o only_o eminent_o i._n e._n in_o respect_n of_o that_o sovereign_a property_n which_o though_o it_o be_v simple_o and_o formal_o but_o one_o yet_o answer_v in_o value_n worth_n and_o variety_n of_o operation_n unto_o all_o the_o several_a virtue_n and_o heal_a property_n in_o all_o those_o other_o receipt_n in_o like_a manner_n all_o that_o great_a variety_n of_o faculty_n power_n property_n virtue_n endowment_n excellency_n and_o all_o principle_n of_o action_n whatsoever_o that_o be_v scatter_v in_o their_o proper_a and_o distinct_a nature_n among_o the_o creature_n may_v be_v attribute_v unto_o god_n though_o not_o so_o much_o as_o any_o one_o of_o they_o be_v proper_o and_o formal_o in_o he_o viz._n because_o there_o be_v that_o sovereign_a and_o supper_n transcendent_a perfection_n in_o his_o nature_n be_v but_o simple_o and_o most_o single_o one_o which_o for_o power_n and_o variety_n of_o action_n in_o every_o kind_n answer_v they_o all_o yea_o and_o far_o exceed_v they_o also_o second_o from_o the_o simplicity_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o god_n as_o it_o have_v be_v argue_v 6._o §._o 6._o and_o explain_v it_o clear_o follow_v that_o love_n and_o hatred_n and_o so_o mercy_n and_o justice_n or_o severity_n in_o god_n towards_o his_o creature_n do_v not_o argue_v any_o different_a affection_n or_o inclination_n in_o he_o towards_o it_o the_o simplicity_n of_o his_o nature_n not_o admit_v of_o any_o such_o difference_n but_o only_o a_o different_a dispensation_n answerable_a to_o the_o different_a effect_n or_o expression_n of_o such_o principle_n in_o man_n so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o inconvenience_n nor_o untruth_n in_o it_o at_o all_o to_o affirm_v that_o god_n at_o one_o and_o the_o same_o time_n may_v both_o hate_n and_o love_n and_o so_o again_o love_n and_o hate_n the_o same_o person_n viz._n in_o respect_n of_o several_a dispensation_n of_o a_o contrary_a nature_n and_o import_n as_o for_o example_n when_o he_o severe_o punish_v a_o godly_a person_n for_o some_o sin_n or_o sin_n commit_v and_o yet_o withal_o continue_v such_o a_o measure_n of_o his_o grace_n or_o good_a spirit_n unto_o he_o whereby_o he_o be_v enable_v still_o to_o believe_v in_o god_n and_o to_o love_v he_o his_o fore_z affliction_n notwithstanding_o in_o respect_n of_o this_o latter_a dispensation_n god_n may_v be_v say_v to_o love_v and_o in_o respect_n world_n we_o shall_v understand_v only_o the_o elect_n the_o reason_n or_o cause_n here_o assign_v of_o the_o prementioned_n effect_n will_v be_v find_v inadequate_a to_o it_o and_o insufficient_a to_o produce_v it_o for_o god_n love_n to_o the_o elect_n and_o his_o give_v his_o son_n for_o their_o salvation_n only_o be_v no_o sufficient_a cause_n to_o procure_v or_o produce_v the_o salvation_n of_o whosoever_o shall_v or_o shall_v believe_v on_o he_o for_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o there_o be_v salvation_n in_o christ_n for_o no_o more_o then_o for_o who_o god_n intend_v there_o shall_v be_v salvation_n in_o he_o if_o there_o be_v salvation_n in_o he_o for_o none_o but_o for_o the_o elect_a only_o then_o be_v it_o not_o true_a that_o whosoever_o believe_v in_o he_o shall_v be_v
