a_o heavenly_a life_n 1._o sect_n i._o we_o have_v now_o by_o the_o guidance_n of_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o by_o the_o assistance_n of_o his_o spirit_n show_v you_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o acquaint_v you_o with_o some_o duty_n in_o relation_n thereto_o we_o come_v now_o to_o the_o close_a of_o all_o to_o press_v you_o to_o the_o great_a duty_n may_v believe_v and_o wish_v though_o not_o make_v any_o sinful_a haste_n i_o be_o content_a to_o wait_v but_o not_o to_o lose_v thou_o and_o when_o thou_o see_v i_o too_o content_v with_o thy_o absence_n and_o satisfy_v and_o please_v myself_o here_o below_o o_o quicken_v up_o then_o my_o dull_a desire_n and_o blow_v up_o the_o die_a spark_n of_o love_n and_o leave_v i_o not_o till_o i_o be_o able_a unfeigned_o to_o cry_v out_o 4._o as_o the_o heart_n pant_v after_o the_o brook_n and_o the_o dry_a land_n thirst_v for_o the_o water_n stream_n so_o thirst_v my_o soul_n after_o thou_o my_o saviour_n till_o my_o affection_n be_v set_v on_o thing_n above_o where_o christ_n be_v reign_v and_o my_o life_n be_v hide_v till_o i_o can_v walk_v by_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o sight_n will_v rather_o to_o be_v absent_a from_o the_o body_n and_o present_a with_o the_o lord_n what_o interest_n have_v this_o empty_a world_n in_o i_o and_o what_o be_v there_o in_o it_o that_o may_v seem_v so_o lovely_a as_o to_o entice_v my_o desire_n and_o delight_n from_o thou_o or_o make_v i_o loath_a to_o come_v away_o when_o i_o look_v about_o i_o with_o a_o deliberate_a undeceived_a eye_n i_o think_v this_o world_n be_v a_o howl_a wilderness_n and_o most_o of_o the_o inhabitant_n be_v untamed_a hideous_a monster_n all_o its_o beauty_n i_o can_v wink_v into_o blackness_n temple_n and_o all_o its_o mirth_n i_o can_v think_v into_o sadness_n i_o can_v drown_v all_o its_o pleasure_n in_o a_o few_o penitent_a tear_n and_o the_o wind_n of_o a_o sigh_n will_v scatter_v they_o away_o when_o i_o look_v on_o thâ—m_n without_o the_o spectacle_n of_o flesh_n i_o call_v they_o nothing_o as_o be_v vainty_a or_o worse_o than_o nothing_o as_o vexation_n o_o let_v not_o this_o flesh_n so_o eject_v by_o violence_n and_o dispossess_v of_o its_o habitation_n against_o its_o will_n but_o draw_v it_o forth_o to_o thyself_o by_o the_o secret_a power_n of_o thy_o love_n as_o the_o sunshine_n in_o the_o spring_n draw_v forth_o the_o creature_n from_o their_o winter_n cell_n meet_v it_o half_a way_n and_o entice_v it_o to_o thou_o as_o the_o loadstone_n do_v the_o iron_n and_o as_o the_o great_a flame_n do_v attract_v the_o less_o dispel_v therefore_o the_o cloud_n that_o hide_v from_o i_o thy_o love_n or_o remove_v the_o scale_n that_o hinder_v my_o eye_n from_o behold_v thou_o for_o only_o the_o beam_n that_o stream_n from_o thy_o face_n and_o the_o foresight_n or_o taste_n of_o thy_o great_a salvation_n can_v make_v a_o soul_n unfeigned_o to_o say_v now_o let_v thy_o servant_n depart_v in_o peace_n read_v and_o hear_v will_v not_o serve_v my_o meat_n be_v not_o sweet_a to_o my_o ear_n or_o to_o my_o eye_n it_o must_v be_v a_o taste_n or_o feeling_n that_o must_v entice_v away_o my_o soul_n though_o argue_v be_v the_o mean_n to_o bend_v my_o will_n yet_o if_o thou_o bring_v not_o the_o matter_n to_o my_o hand_n and_o by_o the_o influence_n of_o thy_o spirit_n make_v it_o not_o effectual_a i_o shall_v never_o reason_v my_o soul_n to_o be_v willing_a to_o depart_v in_o the_o winter_n when_o its_o cold_a and_o dirty_a without_o i_o be_o loath_a to_o leave_v my_o chamber_n and_o fire_n but_o in_o the_o summer_n when_o all_o be_v warm_a and_o green_a i_o be_o loath_a to_o be_v so_o confine_v show_v i_o but_o the_o summer_n fruit_n and_o pleasure_n of_o thy_o paradise_n and_o i_o shall_v free_o quit_v my_o earthly_a cell_n some_o pleasure_n
