day_n be_v so_o continue_v that_o he_o have_v the_o service_n of_o all_o thing_n visible_a yea_o of_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o wind_n which_o be_v a_o invisible_a creature_n attend_v he_o with_o earth_n through_o the_o invention_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n where_o the_o more_o servile_a part_n to_o wit_n the_o fleshly_a body_n of_o man_n can_v enter_v be_v therefore_o in_o its_o glory_n soul_n of_o the_o spiritual_a body_n of_o peace_n to_o who_o in_o the_o eternal_a peace_n they_o be_v unite_v which_o be_v the_o immeasurable_a state_n of_o blessing_n pass_v all_o understanding_n 2._o another_o property_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o holy_a one_o be_v love_n perfect_a love_n without_o hypocrisy_n or_o envy_n in_o himself_o all_o therefore_o unite_n unto_o the_o power_n of_o restoration_n unto_o the_o glorious_a likeness_n will_v come_v to_o see_v the_o eternal_a love_n feed_v and_o save_v his_o enemy_n and_o the_o restore_v be_v of_o the_o same_o similitude_n of_o contrariety_n must_v be_v the_o woeful_a estate_n of_o the_o curse_n yet_o may_v desire_v more_o large_o to_o know_v how_o the_o curse_n come_v through_o a_o open_n of_o the_o original_a cause_n and_o wisdom_n but_o create_v all_o thing_n in_o themselves_o mutable_a even_o man_n innocent_a soul_n also_o in_o itself_o mutable_a as_o well_o as_o any_o other_o of_o the_o creature_n and_o reserve_v unity_n with_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o incorruptible_a one_o nor_o have_v the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o he_o and_o therefore_o in_o worship_v he_o worship_v he_o know_v not_o what_o which_o if_o convincement_n of_o sin_n answ_n judgement_n condemnation_n and_o death_n of_o the_o mind_n of_o transgression_n which_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v for_o the_o cause_n of_o the_o righteousness_n to_o the_o inward_a mind_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o flesh_n keep_v the_o soul_n clean_o out_o of_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o flesh_n in_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o eternal_a spirit_n again_o watch_v to_o fear_v in_o every_o joy_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o every_o glorious_a and_o heavenly_a gift_n lest_o the_o joy_n shall_v slip_v out_o of_o the_o true_a measure_n and_o a_o plant_n tree_n and_o other_o live_a thing_n that_o be_v upon_o the_o face_n thereof_o with_o every_o glory_n of_o the_o heaven_n viz._n the_o sun_n moon_n star_n cloud_n of_o rain_n hail_n and_o snow_n dews_n wind_n rainbow_n lightning_n and_o thunder_n and_o whatsoever_o else_o may_v be_v sense_v by_o the_o external_a see_v hear_v feel_v taste_v or_o smell_a of_o the_o body_n of_o man_n i_o say_v in_o all_o these_o the_o eternul_v most_o holy_a wisdom_n and_o glorious_a sun_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v hide_v and_o veil_v from_o man_n in_o his_o state_n of_o sin_n and_o corruption_n agreeable_a to_o what_o i_o have_v signify_v touch_v the_o contrariety_n between_o corruption_n and_o incorruption_n light_n and_o darkness_n purity_n and_o beastliness_n the_o which_o i_o pass_v by_o for_o the_o present_a draw_v to_o the_o discovery_n of_o a_o few_o thing_n in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o day_n wherein_o it_o may_v be_v understand_v that_o the_o visible_a sun_n in_o the_o firmament_n be_v not_o the_o supreme_a power_n but_o that_o it_o be_v a_o create_a glory_n by_o the_o glorious_a sun_n of_o the_o soul_n which_o be_v the_o eternal_a invisible_a and_o supreme_a power_n first_o from_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o visible_a sun_n as_o it_o be_v a_o simple_a creature_n which_o be_v hot_a fiery_a scorch_a and_o burn_a so_o that_o if_o there_o be_v not_o a_o supreme_a power_n above_o it_o rule_v and_o govern_v it_o in_o a_o most_o glorious_a power_n of_o wisdom_n by_o send_v rain_n in_o due_a season_n which_o as_o a_o distinct_a and_o simple_a creature_n be_v contrary_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o sun_n be_v cold_a and_o moist_a the_o whole_a earth_n will_v become_v dry_v up_o and_o utter_o unfruitful_a by_o which_o mean_v every_o thing_n upon_o the_o face_n thereof_o must_v of_o necessity_n die_v and_o perish_v wherefore_o in_o the_o light_n of_o thou_o sun_n of_o the_o soul_n you_o will_v come_v to_o know_v that_o the_o visible_a sun_n in_o the_o firmament_n be_v make_v and_o create_v to_o serve_v man_n and_o consequent_o not_o for_o man_n to_o how_o down_n and_o worship_v it_o to_o serve_v man_n thus_o in_o one_o respect_n as_o a_o light_n to_o the_o sight_n of_o man_n fleshly_a or_o bodily_a eye_n whereby_o he_o may_v travel_v work_n and_o labour_n in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o day_n for_o the_o sustenance_n of_o his_o outward_a be_v as_o the_o eternal_a power_n in_o his_o wisdom_n have_v appoint_v and_o in_o another_o respect_n tend_v also_o to_o man_n subsistence_n the_o eternal_a wisdom_n have_v create_v it_o to_o serve_v man_n yield_v unto_o the_o earth_n of_o the_o strength_n of_o its_o heat_n after_o the_o cold_a time_n and_o rain_n draw_v up_o from_o the_o earth_n visible_a and_o bodily_a shape_n of_o tree_n herb_n corn_n and_o all_o the_o good_a increase_n that_o the_o earth_n in_o due_a season_n do_v yield_v again_o it_o be_v to_o be_v understand_v that_o the_o visible_a sun_n have_v its_o decree_n and_o appointment_n from_o a_o power_n above_o it_o as_o it_o be_v manifest_a in_o its_o rise_n and_o fall_v in_o sundry_a degree_n in_o winter_n and_o summer_n and_o also_o by_o its_o constant_a course_n in_o twenty_o four_o hour_n compass_v the_o earth_n as_o a_o circle_n and_o so_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o it_o be_v not_o its_o own_o ruler_n and_o governor_n because_o it_o be_v limit_v to_o a_o course_n in_o all_o season_n of_o its_o appointment_n and_o therefore_o can_v be_v the_o creator_n of_o any_o thing_n but_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v as_o the_o other_o creature_n a_o create_a thing_n because_o if_o one_o thing_n visible_a be_v create_v by_o a_o power_n certain_o all_o thing_n visible_a must_v be_v create_v by_o the_o same_o power_n and_o consequent_o the_o visible_a sun_n and_o moon_n also_o and_o that_o man_n beast_n worm_n and_o fowl_n be_v create_v by_o a_o wisdom_n and_o power_n be_v very_o plain_a appear_v by_o their_o several_a kind_n and_o service_n and_o also_o be_v dead_a and_o rot_a their_o very_a dust_n show_v of_o what_o they_o be_v make_v in_o the_o beginning_n for_o whilst_o their_o end_n be_v see_v to_o be_v dust_n their_o beginning_n or_o creation_n must_v needs_o be_v understand_v to_o be_v of_o dust_n also_o and_o the_o same_o power_n that_o create_v the_o earth_n and_o all_o that_o in_o it_o be_v also_o create_v the_o sea_n and_o all_o that_o in_o they_o be_v which_o be_v a_o element_n contrary_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o visible_a sun_n where_o the_o visible_a sun_n have_v no_o power_n of_o burn_a nor_o yet_o of_o make_v food_n in_o the_o deep_n to_o grow_v at_o the_o bottom_n thereof_o to_o feed_v the_o fish_n that_o be_v therein_o but_o the_o same_o eternal_a power_n and_o wisdom_n which_o fill_v all_o place_n provide_v a_o sustenance_n as_o well_o for_o the_o fish_n in_o the_o deep_n and_o all_o the_o worm_n of_o his_o workmanship_n in_o their_o bottom_n as_o he_o do_v for_o man_n beast_n fowl_n and_o creeping-thing_n that_o live_v upon_o the_o face_n of_o the_o earth_n unto_o which_o the_o visible_a sun_n moon_n and_o star_n with_o the_o cloud_n of_o rain_n dews_n and_o wind_n be_v servant_n ordain_v and_o appoint_v by_o the_o eternal_a and_o infinite_o wise_a creator_n of_o all_o thing_n visible_a and_o invisible_a so_o then_o thus_o it_o may_v be_v clear_o apprehend_v touch_v the_o work_n of_o creation_n that_o none_o other_o can_v possible_o be_v the_o creator_n of_o all_o thing_n beside_o a_o power_n and_o eternal_a essence_n which_o have_v something_o of_o a_o be_v in_o all_o thing_n in_o the_o tranquillity_n love_n and_o peace_n of_o his_o own_o life_n in_o himself_o by_o and_o in_o which_o all_o thing_n be_v uphold_v and_o preserve_v in_o their_o due_a and_o appoint_a course_n for_o that_o which_o create_v all_o thing_n must_v absolute_o be_v the_o life_n and_o preservation_n of_o all_o thing_n by_o his_o continual_a presence_n and_o undeniable_o also_o the_o death_n of_o all_o thing_n through_o the_o withdraw_n of_o his_o essence_n and_o presence_n because_o as_o the_o creator_n be_v but_o one_o and_o his_o life_n but_o one_o doubtless_o therefore_o it_o be_v but_o his_o life_n alone_o that_o do_v or_o can_v give_v life_n his_o presence_n that_o give_v be_v and_o preserve_v life_n and_o the_o withdraw_a thereof_o the_o fall_n of_o all_o flesh_n unto_o death_n whereby_o it_o appear_v that_o his_o glorious_a wisdom_n have_v hide_v and_o conceal_v himself_o from_o all_o the_o child_n and_o seed_n of_o corruption_n in_o the_o decree_n of_o the_o death_n of_o man_n body_n by_o sickness_n poison_v drown_v burn_a strangle_v wound_v starve_v etc._n etc._n for_o he_o have_v create_v all_o thing_n can_v make_v man_n to_o live_v under_o water_n in_o fire_n not_o feel_v wound_n without_o food_n etc._n etc._n but_o his_o glorious_a power_n and_o wisdom_n will_v not_o be_v tempt_v because_o he_o will_v be_v reverence_v and_o great_o fear_v in_o all_o thing_n and_o in_o fear_n worship_v and_o serve_v as_o the_o creator_n of_o all_o thing_n now_o as_o for_o the_o visible_a sun_n be_v natural_o contrary_a to_o the_o element_n of_o the_o river_n and_o sea_n can_v possible_o dwell_v with_o the_o fish_n that_o be_v in_o their_o water_n so_o as_o to_o give_v they_o a_o constanr_a subsistence_n of_o life_n the_o which_o the_o mean_a capacity_n may_v easy_o perceive_v be_v a_o fiery_a
retain_v in_o the_o lamp_n always_o burn_v and_o give_v light_n to_o the_o whole_a soul_n it_o may_v turn_v into_o the_o darkness_n of_o folly_n and_o filthiness_n and_o again_o may_v become_v adulterate_a and_o degenerate_a from_o the_o life_n of_o incorruption_n and_o immortal_a unchangeable_a glory_n which_o be_v the_o curse_a state_n wisdom_n therefore_o smite_v the_o stroke_n of_o death_n upon_o the_o head_n of_o presumption_n and_o keep_v the_o watch_n upon_o the_o watch-tower_n of_o the_o light_n which_o discover_v the_o approach_n of_o the_o enemy_n and_o retain_v the_o fear_n as_o a_o strength_n for_o courage_n and_o clothes_n the_o soul_n with_o the_o humbleness_n and_o contritedness_n of_o heart_n for_o with_o such_o the_o immortal_a power_n dwell_v in_o who_o immutable_a strength_n the_o salvation_n and_o preservation_n be_v witness_v so_o in_o he_o the_o redeem_a have_v the_o continual_a enjoyment_n of_o a_o surpass_a sweet_a and_o consolate_v repose_n and_o rest_n first_o in_o the_o knowledge_n that_o the_o gracious_a power_n that_o have_v unite_v they_o unto_o himself_o in_o the_o life_n of_o incorruption_n and_o innocency_n can_v never_o vary_v change_n nor_o altar_n from_o his_o grace_n love_n and_o faithfulness_n and_o next_o though_o a_o change_n may_v be_v which_o can_v be_v by_o the_o unchangeable_a king_n of_o glory_n unless_o it_o be_v first_o by_o the_o degeneration_n of_o man_n weak_a and_o mutable_a mind_n from_o his_o power_n of_o holiness_n yet_o the_o soul_n in_o the_o fear_n and_o watchfulness_n out_o of_o the_o presumption_n and_o arrogancy_n in_o the_o ground_n of_o meekness_n and_o lowliness_n come_v to_o grow_v in_o such_o a_o strength_n of_o the_o power_n of_o hope_n faith_n and_o trust_n in_o the_o immutable_a preserver_n of_o the_o low_a and_o humble_a that_o in_o the_o live_n and_o sensible_a persuasion_n it_o come_v to_o utter_v through_o its_o assurance_n of_o the_o immediate_a unity_n that_o neither_o affliction_n trial_n tribulation_n temptation_n reproach_n buffet_n wound_n torture_n prison_n life_n nor_o death_n principality_n power_n height_n depth_n thing_n present_a nor_o thing_n to_o come_v shall_v be_v ever_o able_a to_o separate_v the_o soul_n from_o its_o life_n and_o unity_n in_o and_o with_o the_o immutable_a preserver_n and_o king_n of_o glory_n in_o the_o joy_n of_o his_o everlasting_a virtue_n ah_o who_o therefore_o will_v not_o run_v as_o a_o greyhound_n in_o the_o course_n and_o flow_v as_o the_o flood_n of_o the_o springtide_n yea_o and_o fly_v as_o the_o dove_n to_o her_o nest_n unto_o that_o which_o unite_v with_o the_o original_a fountain_n of_o all_o excellency_n wisdom_n sweetness_n and_o joy_n to_o be_v swallow_v up_o in_o its_o ocean_n for_o ever_o oh_o the_o felicity_n of_o consolation_n in_o the_o state_n of_o redemption_n how_o can_v my_o weakness_n declare_v its_o ravish_a power_n forasmuch_o as_o in_o the_o state_n of_o the_o soul_n restoration_n unto_o the_o first_o beauty_n glory_n and_o unity_n with_o the_o king_n of_o glory_n there_o be_v find_v a_o tower_n of_o joyous_a safety_n far_o exceed_v the_o safety_n that_o the_o first_o man_n have_v in_o his_o state_n of_o innocency_n know_v that_o though_o he_o be_v innocent_a and_o pure_a yet_o want_v the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o mutability_n and_o changeableness_n of_o his_o soul_n from_o the_o power_n that_o only_o can_v preserve_v it_o in_o the_o immutable_a life_n and_o therefore_o the_o concupiscence_n say_v you_o shall_v not_o sure_o die_v which_o be_v a_o lie_n by_o which_o the_o innocency_n be_v beguile_v and_o overcome_v to_o taste_v of_o the_o fruit_n of_o knowledge_n in_o his_o own_o flesh_n and_o then_o in_o the_o loss_n he_o see_v not_o the_o recovery_n but_o cloud_v himself_o more_o under_o it_o by_o cover_v the_o defile_a part_n but_o whereas_o the_o soul_n now_o see_v its_o unity_n with_o the_o immutable_a glory_n and_o know_v the_o changeableness_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o all_o man_n out_o of_o the_o unchangeable_a power_n and_o comprehend_v the_o power_n of_o darkness_n with_o its_o work_n and_o perdition_n and_o also_o know_v the_o power_n of_o redemption_n from_o curse_n restoration_n to_o bliss_n and_o union_n with_o the_o immutable_a glory_n i_o say_v in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o all_o this_o which_o man_n in_o his_o first_o state_n of_o innocency_n know_v not_o stand_v more_o glorious_a arm_v and_o secure_o fortify_v on_o the_o watch-tower_n of_o the_o light_n in_o the_o pure_a fear_n than_o the_o first_o man_n in_o his_o state_n of_o innocency_n do_v and_o by_o how_o much_o also_o the_o mercy_n pity_v compassion_n love_n and_o glorious_a wisdom_n of_o the_o creator_n be_v now_o reveal_v in_o his_o work_n of_o redemption_n restoration_n and_o unite_n the_o soul_n of_o man_n again_o unto_o himself_o in_o the_o power_n of_o his_o quicken_a spirit_n these_o wall_n of_o the_o eternal_a love_n which_o the_o unite_a soul_n now_o enter_v to_o within_o be_v a_o glory_n fort_n and_o fortress_n infinite_o exceed_v that_o of_o the_o first_o man_n state_n of_o bliss_n in_o innocency_n yea_o i_o may_v even_o speak_v as_o a_o tongue_n without_o end_n of_o this_o matter_n and_o yet_o never_o speak_v enough_o of_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o power_n appear_v in_o glory_n to_o the_o redeem_a restore_v and_o unite_a soul_n how_o far_o it_o surpass_v that_o of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o first_o man_n in_o bliss_n who_o in_o his_o state_n of_o innocency_n before_o transgression_n be_v can_v not_o know_v what_o pity_n compassion_n mercy_n and_o reconciliation_n be_v be_v not_o then_o in_o a_o condition_n of_o the_o service_n of_o such_o property_n and_o quality_n that_o be_v hide_v in_o the_o eternal_a wisdom_n of_o glory_n who_o though_o he_o be_v dishonour_v at_o first_o by_o transgression_n yet_o such_o be_v his_o infinite_a wisdom_n that_o he_o gain_v himself_o the_o great_a honour_n through_o the_o power_n of_o his_o redeem_v man_n out_o of_o transgression_n wherefore_o the_o discovery_n of_o the_o face_n of_o glory_n be_v now_o the_o more_o excellent_a and_o great_a the_o wall_n and_o bulwark_n of_o love_n must_v needs_o be_v the_o strong_a and_o the_o unity_n infinite_o near_a and_o dear_a than_o the_o tongue_n of_o ten_o thousand_o multitude_n can_v ever_o utter_v or_o express_v which_o may_v be_v joyful_o receive_v as_o the_o everlasting_a consolation_n of_o all_o consolation_n by_o all_o the_o innocent_a lamb_n who_o through_o the_o glorious_a redemption_n do_v know_v their_o unity_n in_o the_o immutable_a power_n that_o create_v they_o who_o therefore_o thus_o in_o brief_a can_v witness_v to_o every_o opposer_n and_o gain-say_a that_o question_v their_o state_n and_o condition_n we_o be_v in_o the_o immutable_a life_n and_o power_n final_o the_o knowledge_n of_o unchanableness_n only_o consist_v in_o the_o eternal_a power_n cut_v off_o the_o strength_n of_o all_o insult_v of_o reproach_n by_o the_o seed_n of_o enmity_n cast_v upon_o the_o truth_n and_o the_o redeem_a people_n that_o do_v abide_v walk_v in_o it_o because_o one_o or_o two_o or_o a_o few_o have_v turn_v from_o it_o like_o the_o dog_n to_o the_o vomit_n and_o the_o wash_a swine_n again_o to_o the_o wallow_n in_o the_o mire_n which_o can_v stand_v upon_o the_o immutable_a power_n or_o principle_n of_o holiness_n because_o if_o all_o soul_n shall_v turn_v from_o it_o as_o it_o be_v a_o manifest_a light_n in_o every_o conscience_n yet_o the_o light_n and_o truth_n change_v not_o but_o be_v still_o the_o same_o in_o itself_o in_o nature_n power_n virtue_n and_o glory_n which_o no_o man_n can_v just_o deny_v though_o veil_v cloud_a and_o in_o great_a measure_n hide_v from_o the_o mutable_a soul_n that_o be_v turn_v from_o it_o nor_o can_v reproach_n or_o infamy_n just_o stand_v upon_o they_o that_o abide_v in_o the_o unity_n with_o the_o immutable_a glory_n because_o by_o the_o power_n thereof_o they_o be_v preserve_v out_o of_o evil_n walk_v before_o all_o man_n innocent_o not_o give_v any_o occasion_n but_o of_o good_a report_n to_o fill_v the_o mouth_n of_o all_o man_n therefore_o if_o any_o man_n shall_v reproach_v i_o and_o my_o brethren_n whilst_o we_o continue_v and_o persevere_v in_o the_o life_n of_o restoration_n unite_v to_o the_o unchangeable_a holiness_n because_o other_o one_o or_o two_o or_o a_o few_o be_v go_v out_o into_o the_o defilement_n and_o curse_n this_o show_v that_o he_o which_o so_o reproach_v we_o stand_v disunite_v unto_o and_o adulterate_v from_o the_o life_n of_o his_o creator_n who_o be_v the_o power_n of_o equity_n and_o enter_v into_o the_o power_n of_o the_o blackness_n of_o iniquity_n give_v false_a weight_n and_o false_a measure_n in_o the_o balance_n and_o bushel_n of_o enmity_n which_o be_v the_o curse_a state_n because_o his_o creator_n can_v do_v the_o like_a in_o the_o balance_n of_o his_o sanctuary_n but_o be_v righteous_a to_o every_o man_n cause_n so_o then_o the_o reproacher_n by_o his_o own_o unrighteous_a reproach_n write_v the_o mark_n of_o gild_n in_o his_o own_o forehead_n and_o draw_v the_o sentence_n of_o righteous_a judgement_n upon_o his_o own_o head_n as_o a_o rebellious_a son_n of_o enmity_n and_o despiser_n of_o the_o life_n of_o integrity_n and_o thus_o the_o eternal_a sun_n of_o the_o soul_n power_n wisdom_n holiness_n and_o king_n of_o glory_n in_o himself_o and_o in_o all_o his_o redeem_a people_n stand_v magnify_v honour_v glorify_v praise_v and_o renown_v eternal_o amen_n the_o end_n
