make_v out_o a_o more_o particular_a answer_n to_o the_o question_n propose_v and_o such_o as_o we_o shall_v find_v reason_n enough_o to_o allow_v for_o it_o appear_v from_o the_o premise_n and_o particular_o from_o the_o prayer_n of_o consecration_n that_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n be_v such_o a_o spiritual_a mean_a as_o depend_v for_o the_o force_n of_o it_o not_o upon_o any_o virtue_n that_o be_v infuse_v into_o it_o and_o much_o less_o upon_o any_o natural_a union_n there_o be_v between_o that_o and_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n but_o upon_o our_o receive_n it_o on_o the_o one_o hand_n according_a to_o our_o saviour_n holy_a institution_n and_o god_n bestow_n on_o the_o other_o hand_n christ_n body_n and_o blood_n upon_o such_o a_o reception_n of_o it_o it_o appear_v therefore_o that_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n
will_v be_v say_v it_o may_v be_v that_o literal_o speak_v one_o thing_n can_v be_v another_o unless_o it_o be_v substantial_o change_v into_o that_o which_o it_o be_v say_v to_o be_v and_o therefore_o if_o the_o bread_n be_v christ_n body_n it_o must_v be_v substantial_o change_v into_o it_o to_o which_o i_o answer_v that_o they_o who_o say_v that_o literal_o speak_v one_o thing_n can_v and_o as_o the_o communion_n 10.16_o communion_n 1_o cor._n 10.16_o of_o that_o body_n which_o it_o be_v intend_v as_o a_o symbol_n of_o for_o how_o be_v that_o eat_v in_o the_o sacrament_n which_o have_v not_o now_o any_o existence_n or_o how_o the_o communion_n of_o christ_n body_n which_o have_v no_o be_v of_o its_o own_o but_o it_o may_v be_v for_o all_o st._n paul_n name_n it_o bread_n he_o allow_v it_o the_o same_o signification_n where_o it_o be_v affirm_v to_o be_v the_o communion_n of_o christ_n body_n because_o that_o which_o be_v the_o communion_n of_o any_o thing_n must_v be_v a_o distinct_a thing_n from_o that_o which_o it_o pretend_v to_o be_v the_o communion_n of_o on_o the_o other_o side_n though_o we_o shall_v allow_v the_o word_n bread_n to_o signify_v only_o the_o method_n oblige_v i_o to_o inquire_v what_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o that_o relation_n or_o that_o i_o may_v speak_v more_o agreeable_o to_o the_o language_n of_o the_o church_n what_o that_o be_v which_o consecrate_v the_o bread_n and_o wine_n of_o it_o and_o make_v they_o become_v the_o sacrament_n of_o christ_n body_n and_o blood_n now_o though_o that_o have_v in_o a_o great_a measure_n be_v satisfy_v already_o and_o so_o may_v seem_v less_o necessary_a to_o be_v consider_v a_o second_o time_n yet_o because_o what_o i_o have_v say_v upon_o it_o lie_v dispersedly_z in_o several_a posture_n of_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o disciple_n to_o be_v obligatory_a it_o must_v be_v some_o cogent_a reason_n in_o the_o practice_n itself_o to_o show_v the_o necessity_n thereof_o and_o indeed_o as_o the_o advancer_n of_o this_o posture_n be_v force_v to_o come_v to_o this_o at_o length_n which_o show_v how_o weak_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o disciple_n mere_a example_n be_v urge_v in_o this_o affair_n so_o they_o think_v they_o have_v reason_n enough_o on_o their_o side_n because_o the_o posture_n of_o sit_v be_v more_o proper_a for_o the_o lord_n supper_n than_o any_o other_o supper_n that_o look_v that_o way_n nay_o do_v not_o the_o institute_n of_o it_o after_o that_o of_o the_o paschal_n lamb_n proclaim_v the_o contrary_a and_o direct_a man_n to_o look_v after_o a_o spiritual_a satisfaction_n rather_o than_o a_o natural_a one_o and_o may_v man_n then_o prescribe_v rule_n to_o such_o a_o feast_n from_o the_o mode_n of_o those_o of_o another_o nature_n or_o not_o very_o advantageous_o to_o be_v do_v where_o the_o posture_n of_o receive_v the_o symbol_n of_o it_o be_v not_o at_o least_o intermix_v with_o something_o that_o have_v in_o it_o a_o different_a air_n from_o that_o of_o a_o ordinary_a feast_n which_o suppose_v it_o will_v not_o be_v difficult_a to_o show_v in_o what_o posture_n of_o body_n this_o sacrament_n ought_v to_o be_v receive_v for_o for_o aught_o that_o i_o can_v see_v by_o the_o very_a nature_n of_o the_o sacrament_n itself_o and_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o ancient_n a_o posture_n of_o adoration_n be_v the_o most_o proper_a
