saviour_n do_v rank_a the_o sabbath_n with_o law_n ceremonial_a see_v all_o the_o instance_n which_o he_o bring_v to_o vindicate_v his_o disciple_n be_v instance_n out_o of_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n for_o when_o his_o disciple_n be_v find_v fault_n with_o for_o rub_v the_o ear_n of_o corn_n etc._n etc._n on_o the_o sabbath-day_n christ_n defend_v they_o by_o allege_v david_n who_o in_o a_o like_a hungty_n condition_n break_v the_o ceremonial_a law_n of_o shewbread_n and_o the_o argument_n seem_v to_o conclude_v thus_o if_o david_n be_v hungry_a may_v without_o blame_n do_v contrary_a to_o the_o argument_n lie_v not_o here_o a_o worse_a thing_n will_v follow_v for_o then_o our_o saviour_n bring_v a_o instance_n very_o unsuitable_a and_o such_o as_o will_v be_v dangerous_a as_o will_v be_v discern_v if_o it_o be_v consider_v that_o it_o be_v no_o reason_n from_o god_n dispense_n with_o a_o ceremonial_a law_n to_o his_o dispense_n with_o a_o moral_a law_n for_o then_o one_o may_v reason_v thus_o god_n dispense_v with_o david_n break_v his_o law_n concern_v shewbread_n in_o a_o case_n of_o necessity_n therefore_o he_o will_v dispense_v with_o another_o in_o worship_v a_o false_a god_n if_o he_o be_v necessitate_v which_o god_n forbid_v so_o then_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o our_o saviour_n compare_v the_o sabbath_n with_o the_o law_n ceremonial_a which_o be_v yet_o more_o evident_a by_o the_o next_o instance_n of_o the_o priest_n profane_v the_o sabbath_n to_o which_o i_o have_v speak_v as_o also_o from_o the_o conclusion_n he_o make_v upon_o the_o whole_a sabbath-day_n the_o substance_n of_o s._n j._n his_o answer_n to_o this_o reason_n be_v this_o that_o the_o six_o precept_n which_o be_v moral_a give_v place_n to_o a_o command_n of_o god_n which_o be_v typical_a and_o a_o figure_n in_o itself_o to_o abraham_n in_o offer_v up_o his_o son_n isaac_n to_o which_o i_o reply_v it_o be_v very_o strange_a that_o man_n do_v not_o consider_v before_o they_o speak_v against_o evident_a truth_n can_v s_o j._n believe_v that_o all_o manner_n of_o kill_v be_v forbid_v in_o these_o word_n thou_o shall_v not_o kill_v if_o so_o what_o will_v become_v receive_a exposition_n of_o this_o precept_n that_o homicide_n and_o murder_n whether_o in_o desire_n or_o fact_n be_v the_o kill_v which_o in_o this_o command_n be_v prohibit_v it_o do_v not_o then_o nor_o never_o do_v prohibit_v man_n for_o kill_v any_o man_n in_o that_o way_n and_o upon_o that_o account_n for_o which_o god_n command_v he_o so_o to_o do_v viz._n either_o in_o execute_v justice_n or_o in_o offer_v to_o god_n a_o sacrifice_n and_o therefore_o no_o man_n well_o advise_v will_v say_v that_o the_o sixth_o command_n be_v break_v for_o such_o a_o give_a place_n the_o reason_n indeed_o it_o be_v for_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a to_o prepare_v meat_n or_o dress_v it_o for_o eat_v on_o that_o day_n as_o appear_v exod._n 16._o 23._o now_o their_o pluck_v the_o ear_n of_o corn_n and_o rub_v they_o in_o their_o hand_n be_v a_o prepare_v or_o dress_v of_o it_o for_o their_o eat_n it_o wherefore_o when_o the_o pharisee_n tell_v our_o saviour_n his_o disciple_n do_v that_o break_v by_o such_o a_o fact_n nay_o the_o fact_n be_v defend_v by_o the_o consideration_n of_o moral_a duty_n the_o three_o reason_n all_o command_v pure_o moral_a be_v indispensible_a in_o case_n of_o necessity_n it_o be_v better_a to_o die_v for_o hunger_n than_o to_o deny_v the_o true_a god_n to_o obtain_v meat_n to_o preserve_v life_n yea_o he_o that_o shall_v so_o save_v his_o life_n shall_v lose_v it_o nor_o may_v i_o commit_v murder_n adultery_n or_o bear_v false_a witness_n against_o my_o neighbour_n to_o preserve_v my_o own_o life_n for_o i_o know_v no_o necessity_n that_o
