and_o to_o pass_v through_o a_o great_a part_n of_o the_o air_n by_o fly_v in_o a_o most_o short_a time_n if_o the_o habit_n or_o clothing_n of_o the_o body_n it_o be_v far_o more_o commodious_a to_o be_v cover_v with_o hair_n or_o feather_n which_o be_v no_o hindrance_n to_o the_o agility_n of_o the_o body_n then_o to_o be_v oppress_v with_o the_o weight_n of_o outward_a vestment_n fival_o if_o the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o body_n be_v compare_v it_o be_v certain_a that_o beast_n do_v use_v they_o more_o daily_o and_o free_o than_o man_n since_o they_o be_v give_v to_o their_o feed_n by_o the_o space_n of_o whole_a day_n &_o more_o frequent_o exercise_v the_o act_n of_o copulation_n and_o this_o without_o fear_n or_o shame_n from_o all_o which_o it_o be_v most_o clear_o gather_v that_o other_o live_a creature_n be_v far_o more_o happy_a than_o man_n if_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n do_v present_o die_v upon_o the_o dissolution_n of_o the_o body_n from_o it_o the_o twefth_a reason_n chap._n xiii_o it_o will_v not_o only_o follow_v from_o the_o former_a reason_n that_o all_o other_o live_v creature_n shall_v be_v more_o happy_a than_o man_n but_o it_o also_o will_v follow_v that_o height_n of_o perfection_n whereof_o each_o kind_n of_o they_o be_v capable_a therefore_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v expect_v that_o man_n soul_n shall_v in_o like_a sort_n arrive_v and_o ascend_v to_o chief_a power_n be_v beautify_v &_o adorn_v and_o by_o mean_n of_o which_o those_o power_n obtain_v their_o end_n &_o chief_a perfection_n but_o few_o there_o be_v who_o in_o this_o life_n give_v themselves_o to_o the_o obtain_n of_o wisdom_n and_o therefore_o the_o great_a part_n of_o man_n make_v small_a or_o no_o progress_n therein_o and_o those_o who_o spend_v their_o time_n in_o the_o search_n or_o purchase_n of_o it_o do_v scarce_o get_v the_o hundred_o part_n of_o that_o abundance_n of_o wisdom_n whereof_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n be_v capable_a for_o though_o a_o man_n shall_v despicable_a thing_n never_o do_v any_o thing_n without_o a_o due_a purpose_n &_o end_n shall_v in_o the_o most_o noble_a creature_n of_o all_o work_n and_o labour_n so_o much_o in_o vain_a and_o to_o the_o world_n as_o their_o phrase_n be_v the_o soul_n than_o know_v not_o either_o what_o itself_o be_v or_o of_o what_o quality_n whether_o a_o simple_a or_o pure_a spirit_n or_o consist_v of_o a_o most_o thin_a body_n whether_o it_o have_v distinct_a faculty_n and_o power_n in_o itself_o or_o that_o it_o perform_v all_o her_o operation_n immediate_o by_o itself_o what_o be_v the_o power_n and_o nature_n of_o those_o faculty_n how_o they_o perform_v their_o function_n how_o the_o object_n do_v meet_v and_o associate_v themselves_o with_o their_o faculty_n how_o the_o organ_n and_o instrument_n of_o the_o sense_n do_v concur_v and_o cooperate_v with_o the_o animal_n spirit_n in_o these_o and_o almost_o all_o other_o thing_n belong_v to_o herself_o the_o soul_n be_v strange_o blind_a and_o divine_v and_o coniecture_v of_o they_o as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o dream_n therefore_o if_o the_o soul_n do_v perish_v together_o with_o the_o body_n she_o never_o know_v herself_o but_o remain_v ignorant_a thereof_o both_o when_o she_o be_v first_o engender_v while_o she_o live_v and_o after_o her_o death_n but_o now_o it_o be_v most_o fit_a both_o in_o nature_n and_o reason_n that_o sometime_o she_o may_v be_v able_a to_o contemplate_v herself_o to_o see_v and_o perfect_o to_o apprehend_v she_o own_o beauty_n nature_n and_o ornament_n for_o as_o nothing_o more_o clear_o belong_v to_o the_o soul_n than_o her_o own_o nature_n and_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v intrinsical_v and_o inward_a to_o she_o so_o no_o knowledge_n be_v more_o necessary_a to_o she_o than_o the_o knowledge_n of_o herself_o and_o thing_n appertain_v to_o she_o for_o she_o be_v most_o near_o and_o de●re_a to_o herself_o therefore_o it_o must_v necessary_o be_v grant_v that_o she_o be_v not_o extinguish_v after_o this_o life_n but_o that_o after_o she_o be_v once_o free_v of_o the_o body_n and_o of_o all_o corporal_a object_n which_o afore_o she_o apprehend_v by_o help_n of_o the_o external_a sense_n and_o that_o by_o mean_n thereof_o she_o enjoy_v she_o own_o simplicity_n then_o shall_v she_o see_v herself_o distinct_o and_o clear_o and_o shall_v daily_o esteem_v those_o her_o good_n &_o ornament_n which_o in_o this_o life_n she_o so_o small_o prize_v for_o one_o kind_n of_o understanding_n agree_v to_o she_o while_o she_o be_v tie_v to_o this_o mortal_a body_n another_o when_o by_o mean_n of_o the_o body_n death_n she_o shall_v be_v set_v at_o liberty_n &_o shall_v naked_o exist_v by_o herself_o for_o while_o she_o remain_v in_o the_o body_n she_o can_v know_v nothing_o perfect_o but_o what_o be_v corporal_a and_o under_o a_o corporal_a show_n whereupon_o it_o follow_v that_o she_o can_v see_v or_o know_v herself_o but_o after_o she_o be_v once_o divorce_v from_o of_o god_n may_v be_v make_v immortal_a so_o as_o it_o shall_v never_o die_v certain_o those_o function_n of_o the_o member_n which_o belong_v to_o nourishment_n of_o the_o body_n and_o to_o generation_n shall_v cease_v notwithstanding_o it_o follow_v not_o that_o those_o member_n shall_v be_v superfluous_a because_o they_o shall_v serve_v to_o the_o natural_a constitution_n of_o the_o nourishment_n of_o the_o body_n cease_v and_o the_o function_n belong_v thereto_o when_o the_o body_n by_o a_o divine_a hand_n and_o power_n shall_v become_v immortal_a for_o see_v these_o function_n
