on_o which_o even_o natural_a understanding_n make_v a_o man_n to_o rest_n as_o the_o heathen_a do_v upon_o the_o oracle_n of_o their_o god_n now_o then_o if_o man_n natural_a light_n be_v inform_v that_o god_n have_v command_v a_o sabbath_n in_o a_o week_n allow_v we_o first_o six_o day_n and_o the_o seven_o reserve_v only_o for_o the_o sabbath_n man_n in_o his_o understanding_n will_v perpetual_a ix_o that_o a_o perpetual_a law_n and_o precept_n which_o we_o be_v daily_o to_o pray_v unto_o god_n to_o write_v in_o our_o heart_n and_o to_o incline_v our_o heart_n to_o keep_v and_o to_o be_v merciful_a therein_o unto_o we_o but_o thus_o be_v we_o to_o pray_v unto_o god_n concern_v this_o commandment_n and_o that_o by_o the_o direction_n of_o our_o church_n every_o lord_n day_n public_o therefore_o be_v it_o perpetual_a else_o we_o mock_v god_n in_o so_o pray_v the_o holy_a and_o learned_a bishop_n lake_n understand_v it_o of_o our_o lord_n day_n ground_v upon_o the_o four_o yea_o some_o answer_v ridiculous_a and_o absurd_a x._o that_o law_n be_v perpetual_a the_o breach_n whereof_o god_n have_v punish_v heretofore_o and_o yet_o do_v and_o late_o within_o these_o few_o year_n with_o very_o remarkable_a judgement_n for_o god_n punishment_n he_o send_v for_o breach_n of_o his_o own_o law_n if_o the_o law_n be_v not_o in_o force_n then_o be_v there_o no_o sin_n and_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o punishment_n this_o our_o homily_n take_v notice_n of_o and_o albeit_o it_o such_o judgement_n may_v fall_v upon_o other_o day_n yet_o let_v any_o sober_a spirit_n tell_v i_o why_o such_o happen_v on_o these_o day_n so_o frequent_o what_o may_v be_v the_o cause_n but_o sin_n and_o breach_n of_o this_o commandment_n xi_o that_o commandment_n which_o the_o church_n of_o god_n have_v from_o the_o begin_n of_o it_o unto_o this_o day_n observe_v as_o one_o of_o god_n commandment_n that_o be_v perpetual_a but_o so_o have_v this_o be_v observe_v for_o let_v any_o show_v that_o any_o church_n since_o christ_n ever_o reject_v this_o as_o none_o of_o god_n commandment_n who_o be_v they_o that_o ever_o dare_v deny_v it_o or_o ever_o attempt_v to_o expunge_v it_o out_o of_o the_o decalogue_n the_o papist_n make_v it_o a_o commandment_n of_o god_n so_o do_v our_o homily_n our_o book_n of_o common-prayer_n the_o book_n set_v out_o by_o king_n henry_n the_o eight_o approve_v by_o one_o and_o twenty_o prelate_n and_o many_o doctor_n and_o by_o the_o parliament_n allow_v this_o for_o a_o commandment_n affirm_v that_o the_o breach_n thereof_o do_v much_o offend_v god_n and_o provoke_v his_o wrath_n and_o indignation_n against_o we_o therefore_o it_o be_v so_o hold_v to_o be_v one_o of_o god_n commandment_n in_o all_o age_n hitherto_o it_o remain_v in_o all_o have_v further_a revelation_n than_o the_o naturality_n thereof_o can_v extend_v unto_o for_o the_o positivenesse_n only_o accommodate_v the_o naturalitie_n to_o some_o special_a certainty_n again_o albeit_o the_o precept_n be_v mere_o positive_a yet_o may_v it_o be_v perpetual_a as_o the_o law_n to_o adam_n of_o not_o eat_v the_o forbid_a fruit_n it_o be_v perpetual_a to_o adam_n and_o all_o mankind_n as_o we_o may_v see_v in_o the_o bring_n of_o death_n upon_o we_o aswell_o as_o upon_o adam_n also_o be_v not_o the_o institution_n of_o baptism_n and_o the_o lord_n supper_n positive_a and_o not_o natural_a yet_o as_o durable_a as_o the_o world_n to_o the_o second_o come_v of_o christ_n for_o here_o we_o must_v know_v two_o thing_n whether_o the_o law_n be_v natural_a or_o
