one_o in_o this_o corrupt_a estate_n but_o that_o he_o do_v profit_n in_o knowledge_n far_o more_o easy_o than_o any_o can_v do_v in_o this_o sinful_a time_n last_o in_o that_o man_n be_v to_o get_v knowledge_n by_o the_o aforesaid_a mean_n it_o appear_v that_o all_o man_n be_v not_o endue_v with_o the_o like_a measure_n of_o actual_a knowledge_n for_o howsoever_o the_o natural_a faculty_n of_o the_o mind_n serve_v for_o the_o get_n of_o knowledge_n be_v much_o alike_o in_o all_o without_o any_o great_a difference_n for_o it_o can_v not_o be_v but_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v some_o difference_n as_o in_o the_o temperament_n of_o the_o body_n so_o also_o in_o the_o mind_n or_o great_a their_o actual_a knowledge_n be_v less_o of_o man_n yet_o as_o man_n do_v give_v themselves_o this_o natural_a increase_n of_o their_o create_a holiness_n again_o this_o increase_n of_o holiness_n have_v place_n as_o in_o particular_a man_n so_o also_o general_o in_o the_o age_n of_o this_o innocent_a state_n for_o as_o in_o this_o sinful_a estate_n wherein_o we_o live_v the_o latter_a age_n be_v more_o sinful_a than_o the_o former_a because_o they_o partake_v the_o sin_n of_o all_o the_o former_a age_n so_o if_o the_o state_n of_o innocency_n have_v continue_v the_o latter_a age_n be_v teach_v by_o the_o first_o will_v have_v exceed_v they_o in_o knowledge_n &_o in_o all_o other_o part_n of_o holiness_n last_o this_o be_v to_o be_v note_v that_o we_o do_v not_o here_o speak_v of_o that_o increase_n of_o holiness_n which_o be_v in_o the_o childhood_n of_o man_n in_o his_o innocency_n during_o which_o time_n he_o do_v grow_v both_o in_o stature_n of_o body_n &_o in_o holiness_n of_o soul_n as_o it_o be_v say_v that_o christ_n do_v in_o his_o innocency_n &_o infancy_n luke_n 2._o 25._o 25._o but_o of_o the_o progress_n in_o holiness_n after_o that_o he_o be_v come_v to_o ripeness_n of_o age_n &_o the_o ordinary_a state_n measure_n and_o degree_n of_o holiness_n to_o wit_n that_o wherein_o adam_n the_o first_o and_o the_o last_o man_n of_o this_o innocent_a generation_n be_v create_v chap._n 3._o of_o the_o natural_a decrease_n of_o sinfulness_n in_o the_o next_o place_n we_o be_v to_o consider_v the_o change_n which_o happen_v in_o the_o sinful_a state_n of_o man_n the_o which_o be_v the_o worst_a of_o all_o state_n ought_v not_o in_o constancy_n to_o excel_v all_o other_o first_o of_o the_o decrease_n then_o of_o the_o increase_n of_o sin_n by_o the_o decrease_n of_o sin_n we_o mean_v the_o increase_n of_o the_o relic_n of_o god_n image_n and_o so_o consequent_o the_o decrease_n of_o the_o corruption_n of_o sin_n which_o be_v contrary_a thereunto_o as_o namely_o when_o as_o the_o light_n and_o knowledge_n remain_v in_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n after_o his_o fall_n be_v by_o any_o mean_v increase_v and_o so_o the_o contrary_a blindness_n and_o ignorance_n in_o part_n expel_v this_o decrease_n may_v happen_v in_o all_o the_o part_n of_o man_n sinfulness_n for_o by_o it_o the_o dulness_n and_o ignorance_n of_o the_o mind_n the_o perverseness_n of_o the_o will_n and_o affection_n the_o wickedness_n of_o life_n in_o outward_a action_n may_v be_v diminish_v for_o the_o better_a understanding_n of_o this_o point_n it_o be_v needful_a that_o we_o set_v down_o what_o be_v the_o natural_a state_n and_o degree_n of_o sinfulness_n the_o which_o be_v sometime_o diminish_v and_o sometime_o augment_v in_o man_n that_o by_o the_o mediocrity_n the_o extreme_n may_v be_v know_v it_o be_v hard_o to_o give_v any_o real_a example_n of_o it_o sinfulness_n because_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n be_v in_o continual_a motion_n be_v always_o either_o under_o or_o above_o this_o state_n of_o sinfulness_n yet_o it_o may_v be_v describe_v after_o this_o manner_n suppose_v a_o man_n of_o ripe_a year_n of_o a_o soft_a and_o simple_a disposition_n the_o which_o be_v to_o be_v find_v in_o man_n who_o body_n be_v of_o some_o cold_a complexion_n for_o hot_a and_o fiery_a nature_n have_v strong_a quick_a vehement_a and_o unconstant_a motion_n able_a to_o change_v themselves_o without_o any_o outward_a mean_n and_o therefore_o do_v always_o run_v into_o the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o extreme_a have_v live_v in_o some_o solitary_a place_n not_o acquaint_v with_o the_o fashion_n corruption_n and_o sin_n of_o the_o world_n not_o have_v give_v himself_o either_o to_o continual_a meditation_n or_o be_v instruct_v by_o other_o in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o religion_n look_v what_o measure_n of_o sinfulness_n be_v in_o this_o man_n the_o same_z or_o there_o about_o be_v the_o natural_a sinfulness_n which_o all_o man_n take_v from_o adam_n and_o bring_v with_o they_o out_o of_o their_o mother_n womb_n into_o the_o world_n again_o suppose_v or_o rather_o behold_v with_o your_o eye_n for_o the_o live_a example_n of_o the_o increase_n of_o sin_n be_v infinite_a one_o bring_v up_o in_o the_o company_n of_o lewd_a and_o wicked_a man_n and_o endue_v with_o wit_n beauty_n strength_n of_o nature_n riches_n
