but_o a_o infant_n in_o grace_n be_v violent_o assail_v by_o satan_n according_a to_o his_o nature_n with_o extreme_a rage_n and_o subtlety_n and_o if_o it_o have_v so_o fall_v out_o that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v fain_o to_o batter_v down_o the_o height_n of_o his_o heart_n and_o make_v passage_n for_o himself_o with_o horrible_a fear_n and_o terror_n then_o satan_n labour_v often_o to_o revive_v those_o terror_n and_o by_o infinite_a cavil_n and_o objection_n to_o make_v he_o even_o despair_v of_o his_o salvation_n there_o be_v none_o end_v almost_o of_o the_o devil_n strive_v in_o this_o case_n but_o he_o will_v labour_v continual_o with_o new_a doubt_n and_o objection_n to_o call_v his_o salvation_n into_o question_n and_o to_o make_v he_o think_v that_o he_o shall_v never_o enjoy_v the_o quiet_a possession_n of_o his_o heavenly_a inheritance_n yet_o against_o all_o these_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n so_o strengthen_v he_o that_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o gracious_a promise_n of_o god_n and_o by_o the_o power_n of_o constant_a prayer_n and_o supplication_n he_o support_v himself_o and_o still_o continue_v to_o rest_v himself_o upon_o the_o free_a goodness_n of_o and_o unnatural_a crime_n but_o satan_n be_v not_o willing_a to_o deal_v so_o rough_o with_o they_o if_o he_o can_v choose_v for_o he_o stand_v ever_o in_o most_o danger_n of_o lose_v they_o when_o he_o carry_v himself_o towards_o they_o in_o so_o hard_a a_o fashion_n wherefore_o he_o rather_o flatter_v and_o faun_n endeavour_v to_o rock_v they_o asleep_a still_o if_o he_o can_v in_o the_o cradle_n of_o security_n and_o presumption_n neither_o will_v he_o storm_v thus_o but_o when_o he_o see_v his_o advantage_n in_o regard_n of_o some_o bodily_a cross_n or_o distemper_n or_o that_o he_o duty_n command_v so_o his_o memory_n become_v a_o principal_a instrument_n of_o order_n both_o to_o his_o heart_n and_o to_o his_o life_n for_o example_n a_o godly_a man_n and_o a_o unregenerate_a come_v both_o to_o one_o sermon_n it_o be_v make_v against_o filthiness_n or_o covetousness_n or_o any_o vice_n as_o it_o fall_v out_o the_o unsanctified_a man_n may_v perhaps_o be_v able_a to_o repeat_v ten_o time_n more_o and_o more_o orderly_a than_o the_o sanctify_a this_o be_v a_o fruit_n of_o nature_n not_o of_o grace_n but_o when_o some_o time_n be_v past_a and_o that_o both_o shall_v be_v tempt_v to_o covetousness_n or_o filthiness_n all_o that_o that_o the_o unregenerate_a man_n can_v so_o ready_o repeat_v be_v slip_v quite_o out_o of_o his_o mind_n as_o a_o thing_n careless_o image_n shine_v that_o be_v to_o he_o as_o good_a and_o better_a than_o twenty_o year_n acquaintance_n yea_o it_o surpass_v all_o name_n of_o blood_n and_o alliance_n who_o he_o see_v godly_a he_o he_o prize_v above_o all_o other_o man_n in_o truth_n this_o charity_n do_v then_o show_v its_o warmth_n when_o almost_o the_o breath_n of_o grace_n be_v choke_v by_o vice_n of_o diverse_a kind_n pass_n as_o scarce_o to_o show_v to_o other_o or_o find_v in_o themselves_o any_o sign_n of_o live_v perhaps_o this_o may_v be_v the_o very_a case_n of_o some_o among_o you_o that_o hear_v i_o at_o this_o time_n o_o if_o it_o be_v get_v thou_o a_o preservative_n take_v thou_o a_o large_a quantity_n of_o godly_a sorrow_n feed_v upon_o the_o bitter_a but_o wholesome_a herb_n of_o humiliation_n
