thing_n and_o the_o action_n which_o may_v be_v intend_v by_o we_o for_o some_o good_a end_n but_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o reflection_n itself_o that_o whether_o we_o meditate_v or_o consult_v we_o may_v have_v a_o rule_n to_o order_v the_o reflection_n of_o our_o mind_n upon_o any_o subject_n whatsoever_o the_o rule_n then_o which_o we_o seek_v at_o this_o time_n be_v to_o be_v gather_v from_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o act_n of_o the_o mind_n to_o set_v they_o in_o their_o right_n frame_v one_o towards_o another_o and_o not_o from_o the_o relation_n which_o they_o may_v have_v to_o w●rds_n the_o discovery_n of_o any_o thing_n in_o respect_n of_o outward_a object_n you_o see_v then_o that_o the_o act_n of_o the_o mind_n ●●_o they_o have_v a_o twofold_a relation_n so_o they_o admit_v of_o inward_a property_n 3._o what_o the_o end_n of_o this_o relation_n be_v and_o how_o it_o must_v be_v gain_v for_o this_o relation_n be_v the_o ground_n of_o this_o reflection_n and_o the_o end_n of_o this_o relation_n be_v the_o first_o inward_a principle_n of_o goodness_n and_o of_o that_o well_o be_v whereupon_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n have_v be_v 〈◊〉_d and_o constitute_v and_o from_o which_o all_o the_o well_o order_a act_n thereof_o must_v natural_o flow_v and_o whatsoever_o be_v not_o answerable_a thereunto_o in_o the_o agitation_n of_o thought_n &_o motion_n of_o the_o mind_n be_v to_o be_v judge_v irrational_a &_o void_a of_o understanding_n now_o then_o to_o lay_v open_a the_o act_n of_o a_o man_n mind_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a except_o we_o know_v what_o of_o the_o mind_n in_o the_o memory_n in_o the_o discern_a and_o judge_v faculty_n and_o in_o the_o will_n the_o spiritual_a arise_v from_o the_o conscience_n bear_v witness_n of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o of_o our_o agreement_n or_o disagreement_n with_o the_o same_o by_o which_o you_o see_v what_o be_v call_v the_o mind_n of_o man_n who_o act_n we_o shall_v regulate_v viz._n the_o live_a faculty_n of_o the_o spirit_n dwell_v in_o the_o conscience_n and_o of_o the_o rational_a soul_n dwell_v in_o the_o will_n and_o understanding_n as_o concern_v the_o sensual_a life_n wherein_o we_o differ_v not_o from_o beast_n we_o make_v it_o no_o part_n of_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n although_o we_o hold_v not_o that_o man_n have_v more_o soul_n than_o one_o or_o that_o these_o act_n of_o the_o
