nay_o as_o we_o increase_v in_o understand_v it_o so_o do_v it_o like_o we_o the_o better_a and_o the_o high_a it_o be_v the_o more_o do_v it_o stir_v up_o the_o power_n of_o our_o understanding_n and_o as_o you_o will_v say_v reach_v we_o the_o hand_n to_o draw_v we_o to_o the_o atteynement_n thereof_o as_o for_o they_o that_o be_v dim-sighted_a we_o forbid_v they_o to_o behold_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v overbright_a but_o as_o for_o they_o that_o be_v of_o raw_a capacity_n we_o offer_v they_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v most_o understandable_a when_o the_o sense_n begin_v to_o perceyve_v most_o sharp_o then_o be_v it_o fain_o to_o give_v over_o as_o if_o it_o feel_v the_o very_a death_n of_o itself_o contrariwise_o when_o the_o mind_n begin_v to_o understand_v then_o be_v it_o most_o desirous_a to_o hold_v on_o still_o and_o whereof_o come_v that_o but_o that_o our_o sense_n work_v by_o bodily_a instrument_n but_o our_o mind_n work_v by_o a_o bodiless_a substance_n which_o need_v not_o the_o help_n of_o the_o body_n and_o see_v that_o the_o nature_n the_o nourishment_n and_o the_o action_n of_o our_o soul_n be_v so_o far_o differ_v both_o from_o the_o nature_n nourishment_n and_o action_n of_o the_o body_n and_o from_o all_o that_o ever_o be_v do_v or_o wrought_v by_o the_o body_n can_v there_o be_v any_o thing_n more_o childish_a than_o to_o deem_v our_o soul_n to_o be_v mortal_a by_o the_o abate_n and_o decay_v of_o our_o sense_n or_o by_o the_o mortality_n of_o our_o body_n nay_o contrariwise_o it_o may_v be_v most_o sound_o and_o substantial_o conclude_v thereupon_o that_o man_n soul_n be_v of_o it_o own_o nature_n immortal_a see_v that_o all_o death_n as_o well_o violent_a as_o natural_a come_v of_o the_o body_n and_o by_o the_o body_n let_v we_o see_v further_o what_o death_n or_o corruption_n be_v death_n it_o be_v say_v they_o a_o separate_n of_o the_o matter_n from_o his_o form_n and_o forasmuch_o as_o in_o man_n the_o soul_n be_v consider_v to_o be_v the_o form_n and_o the_o body_n to_o be_v as_o the_o matter_n the_o separation_n of_o the_o soul_n from_o the_o body_n be_v common_o call_v death_n now_o then_o what_o death_n can_v there_o be_v of_o the_o soul_n since_o it_o be_v unmaterial_a as_o i_o have_v say_v afore_o and_o a_o form_n that_o abide_v of_o itself_o for_o as_o one_o say_v a_o man_n may_v take_v away_o the_o roundness_n or_o squarenesse_n from_o a_o table_n of_o copper_n because_o they_o have_v no_o abide_v but_o in_o the_o matter_n but_o have_v they_o such_o a_o round_a or_o square_a form_n as_o may_v have_v a_o abide_v without_o matter_n or_o stuff_n wherein_o to_o be_v out_o of_o doubt_v such_o form_n or_o shape_n shall_v continue_v for_o ever_o nay_o which_o more_o be_v how_o can_v that_o be_v the_o corrupt_a of_o a_o thing_n which_o be_v the_o perfection_n thereof_o the_o less_o corsinesse_n a_o man_n have_v the_o more_o have_v he_o of_o reason_n and_o understanding_n the_o less_o our_o mind_n be_v tie_v to_o these_o bodily_a thing_n the_o more_o lively_a and_o cheerful_a be_v they_o at_o a_o word_n the_o full_a and_o perfect_a life_n thereof_o be_v the_o full_a and_o utter_a withdraw_a thereof_o from_o the_o body_n and_o whatsoever_o the_o body_n be_v make_v of_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v so_o clear_a as_o they_o need_v no_o proof_n now_o we_o know_v that_o every_o thing_n work_v according_a to_o the_o proper_a be_v thereof_o and_o that_o the_o same_o which_o perfect_v the_o operation_n of_o a_o thing_n perfect_v the_o be_v thereof_o also_o it_o follow_v therefore_o that_o since_o the_o separation_n of_o the_o body_n from_o the_o soul_n and_o of_o the_o form_n from_o the_o matter_n perfect_v the_o operation_n or_o work_n of_o the_o soul_n as_o i_o have_v say_v afore_o it_o do_v also_o make_v perfect_a and_o strengthen_v the_o very_a be_v thereof_o and_o therefore_o can_v in_o any_o wise_a corrupt_v it_o and_o what_o else_o be_v die_v but_o to_o be_v corrupt_v and_o what_o else_o be_v corrupt_v but_o suffer_v and_o what_o else_o be_v suffer_v but_o receyve_v and_o how_o can_v that_o which_o receyve_v all_o thing_n without_o suffering_n receyve_v corruption_n by_o any_o thing_n fire_n corrupt_v or_o mar_v our_o body_n and_o we_o suffer_v in_o receyve_v it_o so_o do_v also_o extreme_a cold_a but_o if_o we_o suffer_v nothing_o by_o it_o it_o can_v not_o freeze_n us._n our_o sense_n likewise_o be_v mar_v by_o the_o excessive_a force_n of_o the_o thing_n which_o they_o light_v upon_o and_o that_o be_v because_o they_o receyve_v and_o perceyve_v the_o thing_n that_o gréeve_v they_o and_o for_o that_o the_o manner_n of_o their_o behave_v of_o themselves_o towards_o their_o object_n be_v subject_a to_o suffer_v but_o as_o for_o the_o reasonable_a soul_n which_o receive_v all_o thing_n after_o one_o manner_n that_o be_v to_o wit_n by_o way_n of_o understanding_n wherethrough_a it_o always_o work_v &_o be_v never_o wrought_v into_o how_o be_v it_o possible_a for_o it_o to_o corrupt_v or_o mar_v itself_o for_o what_o be_v the_o thing_n whereat_o our_o soul_n suffer_v aught_o in_o the_o substance_n thereof_o i_o mean_v world_n and_o of_o all_o that_o be_v therein_o that_o in_o the_o world_n he_o create_v man_n after_o his_o own_o image_n as_o in_o respect_n of_o mind_n and_o after_o the_o image_n of_o his_o other_o of_o king_n be_v make_v the_o rank_a poison_n for_o look_v what_o degree_n of_o goodness_n a_o thing_n hold_v while_o it_o abide_v in_o his_o nature_n the_o same_o degree_n of_o evil_n do_v it_o come_v unto_o when_o it_o fall_v into_o corruption_n now_o then_o look_v how_o much_o our_o original_a generation_n be_v the_o better_a so_o much_o shall_v the_o corruption_n that_o light_v into_o it_o be_v the_o worse_a which_o thing_n according_a to_o the_o order_n which_o i_o have_v use_v hitherto_o we_o may_v examine_v towards_o god_n towards_o the_o world_n towards_o man_n and_o towards_o ourselves_o great_o in_o good_a sooth_n be_v man_n bind_v unto_o god_n godward_o if_o he_o will_v consider_v it_o and_o very_o blind_a be_v he_o if_o he_o have_v not_o the_o skill_n to_o perceive_v
