profession_n and_o a_o call_v will_v do_v well_o to_o consider_v that_o the_o great_a part_n of_o their_o time_n ought_v to_o be_v lay_v out_o in_o do_v good_a in_o the_o world_n in_o be_v useful_a and_o beneficial_a to_o the_o society_n whereof_o they_o be_v part_n and_o member_n in_o inquire_v into_o the_o necessity_n of_o their_o poor_a brethren_n in_o contrive_v way_n and_o mean_n both_o to_o employ_v and_o relieve_v '_o they_o and_o above_o all_o in_o promote_a religion_n and_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n among_o man_n so_o far_o at_o least_o as_o their_o own_o authority_n and_o power_n reach_v whether_o in_o their_o family_n or_o among_o their_o tenant_n neighbour_n and_o dependent_n and_o these_o be_v employment_n which_o will_v yield_v both_o satisfaction_n here_o and_o will_v be_v reward_v with_o eternal_a joy_n hereafter_o these_o be_v employment_n and_o pleasure_n both_o and_o which_o pleasure_n seldom_o do_v will_v turn_v to_o good_a account_n hereafter_o and_o thus_o i_o have_v at_o length_n finish_v all_o that_o i_o think_v necessary_a to_o say_v to_o you_o concern_v renounce_v either_o the_o world_n in_o general_n or_o those_o particular_a good_a thing_n into_o which_o it_o be_v divide_v viz._n the_o riches_n honour_n and_o the_o pleasure_n of_o it_o there_o be_v great_a variety_n of_o useful_a matter_n to_o be_v consider_v under_o these_o several_a head_n and_o therefore_o i_o have_v be_v the_o long_o upon_o they_o i_o shall_v be_v more_o short_a upon_o the_o rest_n the_o next_o of_o which_o be_v second_o the_o evil_n of_o the_o world_n viz._n poverty_n disgrace_n and_o affliction_n affliction_n the_o evil_n of_o the_o world_n be_v poverty_n disgrace_n &_o affliction_n these_o be_v opposite_a to_o the_o other_o good_n and_o they_o be_v instrument_n whereby_o satan_n our_o great_a adversary_n do_v attack_v we_o when_o the_o other_o fail_v he_o as_o be_v eminent_o see_v in_o the_o case_n of_o job_n chap._n 1_o 2._o but_o these_o be_v not_o so_o successful_a to_o ruin_n we_o as_o those_o which_o be_v call_v the_o good_a thing_n of_o the_o world_n common_o be_v there_o be_v less_o variety_n in_o the_o way_n wherein_o these_o do_v tempt_v we_o and_o we_o do_v not_o open_v the_o gate_n of_o our_o soul_n to_o these_o as_o we_o do_v to_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o this_o world_n but_o do_v rather_o fortify_v ourselves_o against_o they_o however_o there_o be_v temptation_n in_o these_o also_o and_o i_o will_v consider_v they_o as_o brief_o as_o i_o can_v and_o how_o they_o be_v to_o be_v resist_v by_o we_o to_o proceed_v then_o first_o as_o to_o poverty_n and_o affliction_n for_o i_o shall_v not_o consider_v these_o two_o altogether_o apart_o the_o temptation_n that_o either_o give_v we_o be_v much_o the_o same_o these_o indeed_o instead_o of_o temptation_n to_o sin_n and_o hindrance_n to_o virtue_n do_v very_o often_o prove_v mortifier_n of_o vice_n and_o the_o great_a occasion_n of_o a_o holy_a life_n life_n life_n for_o beside_o that_o in_o a_o state_n of_o adversity_n and_o want_n we_o be_v not_o so_o subject_a to_o pride_n insolence_n and_o a_o contempt_n of_o religion_n nor_o so_o liable_a to_o luxury_n ambition_n and_o covetousness_n and_o many_o other_o sin_n which_o be_v too_o often_o the_o effect_n of_o a_o prosperous_a and_o flourish_a condition_n the_o divers_a sort_n of_o affliction_n and_o adversity_n as_o sickness_n loss_n of_o good_n and_o of_o friend_n poverty_n and_o want_n and_o the_o like_a be_v natural_o advantageous_a and_o do_v mighty_o tend_v to_o the_o increase_n of_o many_o the_o most_o precious_a grace_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n as_o may_v be_v easy_o make_v appear_v these_o wean_v we_o from_o the_o world_n and_o instead_o of_o set_v our_o affection_n on_o thing_n below_o they_o do_v cause_n we_o to_o put_v our_o affection_n on_o thing_n above_o see_v the_o vanity_n emptiness_n transitoriness_n and_o great_a inconstancy_n of_o this_o world_n enjoyment_n we_o be_v apt_a to_o thirst_v after_o those_o permanent_a certain_a and_o everlasting_a joy_n prepare_v in_o heaven_n for_o we_o when_o affliction_n and_o want_v and_o all_o other_o hope_n and_o expectation_n fail_v we_o we_o do_v
