mean_v this_o bless_a work_n may_v be_v both_o begin_v and_o carry_v on_o go_v to_o the_o cross_n of_o jesus_n christ_n that_o be_v the_o stock_n from_o whence_o must_v issue_v this_o mortify_a virtue_n for_o the_o crucify_a kill_v of_o sin_n it_o be_v not_o all_o our_o own_o purpose_n resolution_n promise_n vow_n covenant_n endeavour_n undertake_n in_o our_o own_o strength_n that_o will_v effect_v the_o mortify_n of_o sin_n no_o this_o be_v the_o work_n of_o a_o supernatural_a power_n a_o fruit_n and_o effect_n of_o the_o death_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o therefore_o whoever_o of_o we_o will_v have_v this_o work_n wrought_v in_o we_o let_v we_o have_v recourse_n to_o his_o cross_n his_o death_n and_o that_o in_o a_o threefold_a way_n by_o way_n of_o meditation_n application_n imitation_n 1._o by_o way_n of_o meditation_n serious_o meditation_n 1_o by_o way_n of_o meditation_n upon_o sad_a and_o deliberate_a thought_n consider_v and_o contemplate_v the_o death_n of_o jesus_n christ_n how_o shameful_a how_o painful_a how_o bitter_a it_o be_v
