they_o walk_v not_o answerable_o whence_o learn_v 1._o the_o lord_n faithful_a servant_n must_v resolve_v not_o only_o to_o have_v much_o humble_v toil_n and_o exercise_v in_o seek_v to_o know_v god_n take_v up_o spiritual_a thing_n so_o much_o do_v the_o similitude_n make_v use_v of_o in_o this_o and_o the_o follow_a verse_n to_o inculcate_v spiritual_a thing_n teach_v 2._o whatever_o be_v our_o and_o by_o walk_v together_o as_o it_o be_v a_o gracious_a promise_n on_o god_n part_n i_o understand_v that_o unto_o such_o as_o be_v at_o peace_n with_o he_o and_o depend_v on_o he_o in_o go_v about_o their_o duty_n he_o will_v manifest_v his_o familiar_a presence_n and_o favour_n by_o many_o proof_n of_o his_o love_n that_o he_o will_v furnish_v they_o for_o duty_n and_o be_v with_o they_o in_o all_o their_o difficulty_n and_o that_o they_o be_v bind_v to_o believe_v it_o be_v so_o albeit_o they_o do_v not_o sensible_o find_v it_o doct._n 5._o such_o as_o pretend_v that_o they_o enjoy_v they_o under_o extreme_a calamity_n and_o sorrow_n cause_v they_o to_o put_v dust_n on_o their_o head_n as_o be_v usual_a in_o great_a distress_n 2_o sam._n 13.19_o job_n 2.12_o and_o elsewhere_o 4._o it_o be_v the_o commendation_n of_o man_n to_o be_v peaceable_a and_o meek_a not_o give_v to_o contention_n and_o modest_a in_o prosecute_n of_o their_o right_n when_o they_o be_v call_v to_o contend_v for_o so_o much_o be_v import_v in_o their_o name_n who_o be_v here_o own_v of_o god_n they_o be_v the_o meek_a 5._o man_n modest_a and_o peaceable_a behaviour_n will_v not_o restrain_v ruinous_a house_n and_o withal_o beside_o what_o relate_v to_o the_o temple_n itself_o it_o may_v point_v at_o what_o be_v further_o typify_v thereby_o that_o as_o the_o stroke_n on_o the_o lintel_n do_v shake_v the_o post_n so_o the_o ruin_n of_o the_o nation_n shall_v begin_v at_o the_o stroke_n that_o be_v to_o come_v upon_o the_o great_a one_o as_o be_v after_o clear_v 3._o when_o god_n be_v angry_a against_o a_o nation_n he_o will_v not_o spare_v great_a nor_o small_a but_o by_o cut_v off_o these_o in_o eminency_n he_o will_v expose_v the_o people_n to_o ruin_v for_o as_o smite_v the_o lintel_n make_v the_o post_n to_o shake_v so_o say_v he_o cut_v they_o in_o the_o head_n all_o of_o they_o or_o cut_v the_o head_n and_o great_a one_o and_o i_o will_v slay_v the_o last_o of_o they_o or_o the_o mean_a sort_n with_o the_o sword_n 4._o however_o man_n may_v think_v to_o secure_v themselves_o when_o god_n be_v angry_a yet_o all_o will_v be_v in_o vain_a there_o be_v no_o way_n of_o escape_v his_o indignation_n nor_o will_v probable_a mean_n secure_v they_o for_o he_o that_o flee_v of_o they_o shall_v not_o flee_v away_o but_o shall_v be_v over_o take_v and_o he_o that_o escape_v of_o they_o from_o one_o stroke_n or_o at_o one_o time_n shall_v not_o be_v deliver_v from_o another_o stroke_n or_o at_o another_o time_n verse_n 2._o though_o they_o dig_v into_o hell_n thence_o
