people_n engage_v in_o their_o rebellious_a and_o schismatical_a confederacy_n they_o take_v off_o the_o mask_n and_o condemn_a episcopacy_n in_o their_o pack_v assembly_n anno_fw-la 1638_o declare_v with_o more_o than_o jesuitish_a impudence_n that_o notwithstanding_o of_o their_o protestation_n so_o frequent_o and_o public_o make_v to_o the_o contrary_a it_o be_v abjure_v in_o their_o covenant_n and_o yet_o i_o dare_v advance_v this_o paradox_n that_o even_o then_o it_o be_v not_o one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n to_o the_o presbyterian_o themselves_z far_o less_o to_o the_o whole_a nation_n i_o own_o this_o to_o be_v a_o paradox_n and_o therefore_o i_o must_v ask_v my_o reader_n allowance_n to_o give_v my_o reason_n for_o which_o i_o have_v dare_v to_o advance_v it_o it_o be_v this_o consider_v how_o much_o prelacy_n affect_v the_o church_n as_o a_o society_n of_o how_o great_a consequence_n it_o be_v in_o the_o concern_v of_o the_o church_n whatever_o it_o be_v in_o itself_o it_o can_v in_o reason_n be_v call_v one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n to_o such_o as_o be_v satisfy_v they_o can_v live_v safe_o and_o without_o sin_n in_o the_o communion_n of_o that_o church_n where_o it_o prevail_v if_o such_o can_v call_v it_o a_o grievance_n at_o all_o i_o think_v they_o can_v just_o call_v it_o more_o than_o a_o supportable_a grievance_n i_o think_v it_o can_v be_v just_o call_v one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n till_o it_o can_v justify_v and_o by_o consequence_n necessitate_v a_o separation_n from_o that_o church_n which_o have_v it_o in_o its_o constitution_n how_o can_v that_o be_v call_v one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n especial_o in_o church_n matter_n where_o grievance_n and_o corruption_n if_o i_o take_v they_o right_n must_v be_v term_n very_o much_o equivalent_a to_o those_o who_o can_v safe_o support_v it_o i._o e._n live_v under_o it_o without_o sin_n and_o with_o a_o safe_a conscience_n continue_v in_o the_o church_n communion_n while_o it_o be_v in_o the_o church_n government_n how_o can_v that_o be_v call_v insupportable_a which_o be_v not_o of_o such_o malignity_n in_o a_o church_n as_o to_o make_v her_o communion_n sinful_a how_o can_v that_o be_v call_v insupportable_a in_o ecclesiastical_a concern_v or_o religious_a matter_n to_o those_o who_o be_v persuade_v they_o may_v bear_v it_o or_o with_o it_o without_o disturb_v their_o inward_a peace_n or_o endanger_v their_o eternal_a interest_n now_o such_o in_o these_o time_n be_v all_o the_o presbyterian_o at_o least_o general_o in_o the_o nation_n they_o do_v not_o think_v upon_o break_v the_o communion_n of_o the_o church_n upon_o separate_v from_o the_o solemn_a assembly_n under_o prelacy_n and_o set_v up_o presbyterian_a altar_n in_o opposition_n to_o the_o episcopal_a altar_n they_o still_o keep_v up_o one_o communion_n in_o the_o nation_n they_o do_v not_o refuse_v to_o join_v in_o the_o public_a ordinance_n the_o solemn_a worship_n of_o god_n and_o the_o sacrament_n with_o their_o prelatic_a brethren_n all_o this_o be_v so_o well_o know_v that_o none_o i_o think_v will_v call_v it_o in_o question_n indeed_o that_o height_n of_o antipathy_n to_o prelacy_n have_v not_o prevail_v among_o the_o party_n no_o not_o when_o episcopacy_n have_v its_o fetter_n strike_v off_o anno_fw-la 1662._o for_o then_o and_o for_o some_o year_n after_o the_o presbyterian_o general_o both_o pastor_n and_o people_n keep_v the_o unity_n of_o the_o church_n and_o join_v with_o the_o conformist_n in_o the_o public_a ordinance_n and_o i_o believe_v there_o be_v hundred_o of_o thousand_o in_o scotland_n who_o remember_v very_o well_o how_o short_a a_o time_n it_o be_v since_o they_o betake_v themselves_o to_o conventicle_n and_o turn_v avow_v schismatic_n i_o confess_v the_o reason_n i_o have_v just_a now_o insist_v on_o can_v militate_v so_o pat_o against_o such_o for_o if_o they_o have_v reason_n to_o separate_v they_o have_v the_o same_o reason_n to_o call_v prelacy_n one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n no_o more_o and_o no_o other_o but_o i_o can_v see_v how_o the_o force_n of_o it_o can_v be_v well_o avoid_v by_o they_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o predecessor_n who_o have_v not_o the_o boldness_n to_o separate_v upon_o the_o account_n of_o prelacy_n but_o it_o may_v be_v say_v that_o those_o presbyterian_o who_o live_v anno_fw-la 1637._o and_o downward_o shake_v off_o prelacy_n and_o will_v bear_v it_o no_o long_o and_o be_v it_o not_o then_o one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n to_o they_o true_o indeed_o for_o remove_v the_o pretend_a corruption_n of_o prelacy_n they_o then_o venture_v upon_o the_o real_o horrid_a sin_n of_o rebellion_n against_o their_o prince_n they_o embroil_v three_o famous_a and_o flourish_a kingdom_n they_o break_v down_o the_o beautiful_a and_o ancient_a structure_n of_o government_n both_o in_o church_n and_o state_n they_o shed_v ocean_n of_o christian_a blood_n and_o make_v the_o nation_n welter_v in_o gore_n they_o give_v up_o themselves_o to_o all_o the_o wildness_n of_o rage_n and_o fury_n they_o glory_v in_o treason_n and_o treachery_n in_o oppression_n and_o murder_n in_o fierceness_n and_o unbridle_a tyranny_n they_o drench_v innumerable_a miss-led_n soul_n in_o the_o crimson_a guilt_n of_o schism_n and_o sedition_n of_o rebellion_n and_o faction_n of_o perfidy_n and_o perjury_n in_o short_a they_o open_v the_o way_n to_o such_o one_fw-mi inundation_n of_o hypocrisy_n and_o irreligion_n of_o confusion_n and_o calamity_n as_o can_v easy_o be_v parallel_v in_o history_n and_o for_o all_o these_o thing_n they_o pretend_v their_o antipathy_n to_o prelacy_n and_o yet_o after_o all_o this_o i_o be_o where_o i_o be_v consider_v their_o aforesaid_a principle_n and_o practice_n as_o to_o the_o unity_n of_o the_o church_n they_o can_v not_o call_v it_o one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n they_o do_v not_o true_o find_v it_o such_o have_v they_o real_o and_o sincere_o in_o true_a christian_a simplicity_n and_o sobriety_n find_v or_o feel_v it_o such_o they_o will_v no_o doubt_n have_v look_v on_o it_o as_o a_o forcible_a ground_n for_o separate_v from_o the_o communion_n in_o which_o it_o prevail_v as_o the_o protestant_n in_o germany_n find_v their_o centum_fw-la gravamina_fw-la for_o separate_v from_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n to_o have_v make_v it_o that_o indeed_o and_o then_o to_o have_v suffer_v patient_o if_o they_o have_v be_v persecute_v for_o it_o without_o turn_v to_o the_o antichristian_a course_n of_o arm_a resistance_n have_v have_v some_o colour_n of_o one_fw-mi argument_n that_o they_o deem_v it_o one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n but_o the_o fierce_a fight_v against_o it_o so_o long_o as_o they_o can_v allow_v themselves_o to_o live_v in_o the_o communion_n which_o own_a it_o can_v never_o infer_v that_o it_o be_v to_o they_o one_fw-mi insupportable_a grievance_n at_o most_o if_o it_o be_v it_o be_v to_o wanton_a humour_n and_o wildfire_n only_o and_o not_o to_o conscience_n and_o real_a christian_a conviction_n and_o so_o i_o leave_v this_o argument_n i_o can_v easy_o insist_v more_o large_o on_o this_o enquiry_n but_o to_o avoid_a tediousness_n i_o shall_v advance_v only_o one_o thing_n more_o it_o be_v a_o challenge_n to_o my_o presbyterian_a brethren_n to_o produce_v but_o one_o public_a deed_n one_o solemn_a or_o considerable_a appearance_n of_o the_o nation_n take_v either_o collective_o or_o representative_o which_o by_o any_o tolerable_a construction_n or_o interpretation_n can_v import_v that_o prelacy_n or_o the_o superiority_n of_o any_o office_n in_o the_o church_n above_o presbyter_n be_v a_o great_a and_o insupportable_a grievance_n and_o trouble_n to_o this_o nation_n and_o contrary_a to_o the_o inclination_n of_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o people_n for_o full_a thirty_o year_n after_o the_o reformation_n the_o learned_a g._n r._n think_v he_o have_v find_v one_o indeed_o it_o seem_v for_o he_o introduce_v it_o very_o brisk_o in_o his_o first_o vindication_n of_o the_o church_n of_o scotland_n in_o answer_n to_o the_o first_o question_n §_o 9_o hear_v he_o it_o be_v evident_a say_v he_o that_o episcopal_a jurisdiction_n over_o the_o protestant_n be_v condemn_v by_o law_n in_o that_o same_o parliament_n 1567._o wherein_o the_o protestant_a religion_n be_v establish_v what_o no_o less_o than_o evident_a let_v we_o try_v this_o parliamentary_a condemnation_n it_o be_v there_o statute_n and_o ordain_v that_o no_o other_o jurisdiction_n ecclesiastical_a be_v acknowledge_v within_o this_o realm_n than_o that_o which_o be_v and_o shall_v be_v within_o this_o same_o kirk_n establish_v present_o or_o which_o flow_v therefrom_o concern_v preach_v the_o word_n correct_v of_o manner_n administration_n of_o sacrament_n so_o he_o no_o man_n who_o know_v this_o author_n and_o his_o way_n of_o writing_n will_v ready_o think_v it_o be_v ill_a manner_n to_o examine_v whither_o he_o cite_v right_o i_o turn_v over_o therefore_o all_o the_o act_n of_o that_o parliament_n
much_o help_v the_o matter_n they_o be_v these_o two_o 32._o 1._o though_o the_o bishop_n be_v introduce_v in_o the_o year_n 1662._o and_o do_v continue_v till_o the_o year_n 1689._o during_o which_o time_n the_o far_o great_a part_n of_o all_o the_o ministry_n in_o scotland_n be_v bring_v in_o by_o themselves_o and_o though_o they_o have_v obtain_v a_o national_a synod_n form_v for_o their_o own_o interest_n yet_o they_o dare_v never_o adventure_v to_o call_v it_o together_o so_o diffident_a be_v they_o even_o of_o these_o minister_n and_o can_v there_o be_v a_o great_a demonstration_n say_v he_o of_o the_o general_n inclination_n of_o this_o nation_n against_o prelacy_n but_o who_o see_v not_o how_o many_o thing_n be_v want_v here_o to_o make_v a_o probable_a argument_n much_o more_o a_o demonstration_n for_o who_o know_v not_o that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o the_o power_n of_o the_o bishop_n but_o of_o the_o king_n to_o convocate_v a_o national_a synod_n and_o who_o know_v not_o that_o presbyterian_a national_a synod_n have_v commit_v such_o extravagance_n as_o may_v have_v tempt_v any_o king_n almost_o to_o have_v little_a kindness_n for_o national_a synod_n again_o suppose_v the_o bishop_n may_v have_v obtain_v one_o if_o they_o have_v be_v for_o it_o but_o will_v not_o ask_v it_o be_v there_o no_o other_o imaginable_a reason_n for_o their_o forbear_n to_o ask_v one_o but_o their_o diffidence_n of_o the_o minister_n one_o live_v 24_o or_o 28_o year_n ago_o may_v possible_o have_v slip_v into_o such_o a_o mistake_n but_o for_o one_o who_o write_v only_o in_o the_o year_n 1691_o after_o it_o be_v visible_a nay_o signal_o remarkable_a that_o of_o near_a to_o a_o thousand_o presbyter_n not_o above_o twenty_o have_v fall_v from_o the_o episcopal_a principle_n but_o all_o have_v so_o general_o continue_v to_o profess_v they_o and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o to_o profess_v they_o amid_o so_o many_o discouragement_n to_o profess_v they_o and_o suffer_v for_o they_o after_o this_o i_o say_v for_o any_o man_n to_o found_v a_o demonstration_n for_o prove_v that_o prelacy_n be_v contrary_a to_o the_o inclination_n of_o the_o people_n on_o the_o bishop_n averseness_n to_o a_o national_a synod_n and_o to_o find_v that_o averseness_n on_o the_o diffidence_n they_o have_v of_o the_o presbyter_n as_o if_o they_o have_v dread_v or_o have_v ground_n to_o dread_v that_o the_o presbyter_n will_v have_v subvert_v their_o order_n if_o they_o have_v get_v a_o national_a synod_n seem_v to_o i_o a_o very_a singular_a undertake_n sure_o i_o be_o if_o there_o be_v any_o demonstration_n here_o at_o all_o it_o be_v that_o there_o be_v no_o great_a store_n of_o demonstration_n to_o be_v have_v for_o our_o author_n main_a conclusion_n neither_o be_v his_o other_o argument_n any_o strong_a which_o be_v this_o 2._o this_o national_a aversion_n be_v yet_o further_o demonstrate_v from_o this_o that_o albeit_o prelacy_n have_v all_o the_o statute_n that_o the_o bishop_n can_v desire_v on_o their_o behalf_n and_o have_v they_o put_v in_o execution_n with_o the_o outmost_a severity_n yet_o there_o be_v ever_o find_v a_o necessity_n to_o keep_v up_o a_o stand_a army_n to_o uphold_v they_o and_o to_o suppress_v the_o aversion_n of_o the_o people_n and_o notwithstanding_o thereof_o there_o be_v frequent_a insurrection_n and_o rebellion_n now_o who_o see_v not_o the_o weakness_n of_o this_o demonstration_n for_o who_o know_v not_o that_o a_o small_a part_n of_o a_o nation_n by_o their_o notorious_a vngovernableness_n and_o their_o habitual_a propensity_n to_o rebel_n may_v oblige_v the_o government_n to_o keep_v up_o a_o little_a stand_a army_n such_o as_o we_o in_o scotland_n be_v for_o suppress_v they_o if_o at_o any_o time_n they_o shall_v break_v out_o into_o a_o rebellion_n the_o party_n i_o think_v can_v have_v but_o little_a credit_n from_o such_o demonstration_n for_o this_o demonstration_n must_v either_o suppose_v that_o none_o in_o the_o nation_n be_v apt_a to_o rebel_n except_o presbyterian_o and_o they_o too_o only_o upon_o the_o head_n of_o church_n government_n or_o it_o can_v conclude_v nothing_o for_o if_o presbyterian_o can_v rebel_v upon_o other_o reason_n though_o they_o make_v this_o the_o main_a the_o specious_a the_o clamourous_a pretext_n as_o i_o doubt_v not_o their_o democratical_a principle_n may_v incline_v they_o to_o do_v upon_o occasion_n or_o if_o other_o than_o sincere_a presbyterian_o can_v venture_v on_o the_o horrid_a sin_n of_o rebellion_n there_o be_v still_o reason_n for_o the_o stand_a army_n beside_o what_o gain_v they_o by_o these_o their_o frequent_a insurrection_n and_o rebellion_n be_v they_o not_o easy_o and_o ready_o crush_v by_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o nation_n but_o if_o so_o i_o think_v if_o there_o be_v any_o argument_n here_o at_o all_o it_o conclude_v another_o way_n than_o our_o author_n design_v it_o but_o it_o be_v not_o worth_a the_o while_n to_o insist_v long_o on_o this_o argument_n only_o if_o it_o be_v a_o good_a one_o the_o bishop_n and_o their_o adherent_n have_v reason_n to_o thank_v our_o author_n for_o show_v they_o the_o way_n how_o they_o may_v have_v their_o government_n restore_v for_o by_o this_o way_n of_o reason_v they_o have_v no_o more_o to_o do_v but_o fall_v upon_o the_o knack_n of_o raise_v frequent_a insurrection_n and_o rebellion_n against_o the_o present_a government_n and_o than_o their_o work_n be_v do_v for_o thus_o a_o demonstration_n shall_v befriend_v they_o this_o when_o there_o be_v a_o necessity_n of_o keep_v up_o a_o stand_a army_n to_o support_v presbytery_n because_o of_o frequent_a insurrection_n and_o rebellion_n raise_v on_o its_o account_n it_o be_v a_o demonstration_n that_o it_o be_v a_o great_a and_o insupportable_a grievance_n and_o trouble_v to_o the_o nation_n and_o contrary_a to_o the_o inclination_n of_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o people_n and_o therefore_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v abolish_v the_o truth_n be_v such_o reason_n be_v not_o only_o sophistical_a but_o dangerous_a they_o be_v found_v upon_o the_o principle_n of_o rebellion_n and_o they_o tend_v direct_o and_o natural_o towards_o rebellion_n and_o they_o ought_v to_o be_v notice_v by_o every_o wise_a government_n and_o so_o i_o leave_v this_o author_n the_o next_o paper-combat_n i_o shall_v take_v notice_n of_o be_v between_o the_o author_n of_o the_o three_o letter_n in_o the_o pamphlet_n call_v one_fw-mi account_n of_o the_o present_a persecution_n of_o the_o church_n in_o scotland_n etc._n etc._n publish_v anno_fw-la 1690._o and_o g._n r._n in_o his_o second_o vindication_n publish_v towards_o the_o end_n of_o the_o year_n 1691._o the_o epistler_n as_o g._n r._n be_v sometime_o please_v to_o call_v he_o have_v crave_v a_o poll_n deem_v it_o it_o seem_v the_o only_a proper_a method_n for_o come_v at_o a_o sure_a account_n of_o the_o inclination_n of_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o people_n and_o i_o think_v he_o have_v reason_n for_o if_o matter_n must_v go_v by_o the_o inclination_n of_o the_o people_n it_o be_v just_a to_o ask_v the_o people_n about_o their_o inclination_n but_o will_v g._n r._n allow_v he_o this_o demand_v which_o have_v so_o much_o of_o plain_a equity_n in_o it_o no_o his_o talk_n say_v he_o of_o put_v the_o matter_n to_o the_o poll_n i_o neglect_v as_o one_fw-mi impracticable_a fancy_n 5._o but_o who_o see_v not_o that_o this_o be_v plain_a fear_n to_o put_v it_o upon_o such_o one_fw-mi issue_n what_o imaginable_a impossibility_n or_o absurdity_n or_o difficulty_n or_o inconveniency_n can_v make_v poll_n upon_o this_o account_n impracticable_a be_v it_o not_o find_v practicable_a enough_o in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o covenant_n when_o the_o very_a child_n if_o he_o can_v write_v his_o own_o name_n be_v put_v to_o it_o to_o subscribe_v it_o what_o shall_v make_v it_o more_o impracticable_a to_o poll_v the_o kingdom_n for_o find_v the_o people_n inclination_n about_o episcopacy_n and_o presbytery_n than_o it_o be_v to_o levy_v hearth-money_n from_o the_o whole_a kingdom_n be_v it_o not_o as_o practicable_a to_o poll_v the_o kingdom_n about_o church_n government_n as_o to_o poll_v it_o for_o raise_v the_o present_a subsidy_n which_o be_v impose_v by_o poll_n i_o be_o apt_a to_o believe_v the_o inclination_n of_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o people_n will_v have_v be_v as_o much_o satisfy_v if_o poll_n have_v be_v reduce_v to_o practice_n on_o the_o one_o account_n as_o the_o other_o that_o same_o epistler_n in_o that_o same_o epistle_n adduce_v another_o argument_n which_o be_v to_o this_o purpose_n that_o in_o the_o year_n 1687_o and_o 1688_o when_o the_o schism_n be_v in_o its_o elevation_n there_o be_v but_o some_o three_o or_o four_o presbyterian_a meeting-house_n erect_v on_o the_o north_n side_n of_o the_o tay_n i._n e._n in_o the_o great_a half_n of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o these_o too_o very_o little_o
compliment_n when_o he_o spend_v so_o many_o of_o his_o sweet_a word_n another_o of_o his_o phrase_n so_o very_o pleasant_o thus_o do_v g._n r._n defend_v this_o part_n of_o the_o article_n against_o state_n for_o thus_o one_fw-mi article_n be_v impose_v on_o it_o by_o such_o as_o have_v no_o right_n no_o power_n to_o impose_v it_o because_o they_o have_v fair_o declare_v themselves_o to_o be_v for_o the_o indifferency_n of_o particular_a form_n of_o church_n government_n and_o yet_o by_o another_o proposition_n in_o his_o scheme_n this_o article_n can_v be_v alter_v for_o this_o be_v one_o of_o his_o position_n that_o the_o deed_n of_o a_o meeting_n of_o estate_n be_v to_o be_v interpret_v the_o deed_n of_o the_o whole_a nation_n from_o which_o it_o follow_v by_o unavoidable_a consequence_n that_o the_o whole_a nation_n hereafter_o must_v be_v exclude_v from_o vote_v about_o the_o government_n of_o the_o church_n for_o the_o whole_a nation_n even_a presbyterian_o themselves_o not_o except_v by_o establish_v this_o article_n have_v declare_v themselves_o indifferent_a as_o to_o the_o species_n of_o church_n government_n now_o as_o i_o say_v be_v not_o this_o a_o lamentable_a state_n to_o which_o the_o nation_n be_v reduce_v it_o lie_v under_o the_o burden_n of_o one_fw-mi ill-contrived_a article_n impose_v by_o such_o as_o be_v not_o competent_a have_v no_o right_n to_o impose_v it_o and_o yet_o it_o must_v lie_v remediless_o under_o this_o burden_n because_o those_o who_o impose_v it_o by_o impose_v it_o while_o they_o be_v not_o competent_a nor_o qualify_v for_o impose_v it_o have_v render_v the_o whole_a nation_n incompetent_a and_o unqualify_v for_o alter_v it_o or_o free_v itself_o of_o such_o a_o burden_n be_v ever_o nation_n so_o miserable_o intricate_v but_o enough_o of_o g._n r._n these_o i_o say_v and_o several_a other_o thing_n may_v have_v be_v far_o consider_v and_o insist_v on_o but_o have_v already_o answer_v the_o end_n of_o my_o undertake_n i_o shall_v proceed_v no_o far_o i_o conclude_v with_o this_o if_o these_o paper_n shall_v have_v the_o fortune_n to_o come_v to_o the_o hand_n of_o any_o scottish_a nobleman_n or_o gentleman_n and_o if_o they_o shall_v think_v it_o worth_a their_o while_n to_o peruse_v they_o i_o earnest_o beg_v one_o piece_n of_o justice_n from_o they_o it_o be_v that_o they_o will_v not_o apprehend_v i_o have_v the_o least_o intention_n or_o inclination_n to_o cast_v disgrace_n on_o such_o of_o they_o as_o concur_v either_o to_o the_o frame_n or_o the_o vote_v of_o this_o article_n i_o love_v my_o native_a country_n i_o honour_v all_o person_n of_o true_a honour_n in_o it_o i_o have_v no_o where_o impugn_a the_o authority_n of_o those_o who_o establish_v this_o article_n i_o have_v no_o such_o purpose_n my_o undertake_n require_v no_o such_o performance_n all_o i_o design_v be_v to_o do_v service_n to_o my_o country_n according_a to_o my_o poor_a ability_n i_o can_v think_v any_o ingenuous_a person_n any_o person_n of_o true_a honour_n can_v deny_v that_o it_o be_v good_a service_n do_v to_o mankind_n to_o tell_v they_o truth_n civil_o and_o endeavour_v dutiful_o to_o recover_v they_o from_o mistake_n if_o they_o labour_v under_o any_o we_o be_v all_o fallible_a and_o capable_a of_o take_v thing_n by_o the_o wrong_n handle_v and_o a_o very_a mean_a person_n may_v be_v sometime_o a_o seasonable_a monitor_n if_o i_o have_v say_v any_o thing_n false_a or_o amiss_o i_o crave_v all_o man_n pardon_v but_o if_o i_o have_v advance_v nothing_o but_o truth_n if_o i_o have_v do_v nothing_o but_o justice_n to_o this_o article_n and_o i_o protest_v serious_o i_o think_v i_o have_v do_v no_o more_o i_o can_v think_v it_o will_v be_v just_a or_o generous_a in_o any_o man_n to_o harbour_v picque_n against_o i_o for_o do_v what_o i_o have_v do_v the_o genuine_a use_n i_o be_o sure_a it_o be_v genuine_a i_o wish_v my_o countryman_n of_o whatever_o station_n or_o character_n may_v make_v of_o my_o examination_n of_o this_o article_n be_v to_o suffer_v themselves_o to_o be_v put_v to_o think_v by_o it_o and_o inquire_v whither_o there_o may_v not_o be_v some_o other_o article_n every_o whit_n of_o as_o great_a importance_n to_o the_o nation_n in_o our_o new_a claim_n of_o right_n as_o ill-founded_n as_o this_o and_o if_o any_o such_o be_v find_v to_o contribute_v their_o joint_a endeavour_n as_o become_v true_a scottishman_n and_o good_a christian_n to_o have_v all_o right_v finis_fw-la finis_fw-la kn._n 260._o 260._o
